I wish kirby games were more like kirby & the amazing mirror. That game stood out to me because when I was playing it, that game made me rage like hell but it also was engaging because of that
Bruh, IGN rated Kirby Triple Deluxe bad because it was Too Easy, and that video was hated to hell. Kirby Games are supposed to be easy, for First Time Gamers or Kids. If you want a challenge in kirby, Try The True Arena or Soul Melter.
I think kirby nails the difficulty easy but not braindead to beat but hard to 100%. I think thats a perfect balance. If you want a hard challenge do the side stuff if you just want a easy fun game then just play the main game. Also kirby has been doing great still. Kirby series has not been like star allies though where you can just have the game play itself. If the side content is still hard than thats fine it just does not come from the main story like it used to and again i think its a perfect balance.
Nice take. I disagree on using games like Celeste and Getting Over It as examples of why Kirby should be easy as those are rage games - games that are designed to have no margin of error and thus make you rage. BUT I'm glad that you used that comparison to show what Celeste did well that Kirby could use to make the game more enjoyable for intermediate and hardcore players. :)
They're not really rage games in my opinion,,, okay maybe getting over it is. But Celeste has sort of designed itself around accessability. I said this in my Getting Over It review but it's just on the ~doable~ side of barely doable, which keeps you on your feet. Maybe what kirby needs is a difficulty setting? Another comment mentioned DLC's or some NewGame+ mode or something that's a lot more difficult which would be cool to try, but tbh star allies just can't keep my attention long enough for me to get fully through it quickly. Maybe the point of the newer kirby games is their multiplayer? edit: interesting. didn't know yt had markdown built-in
Eyy thanks my dude! The channel appears to be growing at a consistent rate and I couldn't be happier. Thanks for being there and supporting me since my early Launchpad videos, it really means a lot!
Tbh yeah maybe that’s the best thing, although I feel that difficulty settings give people an excuse to give up when things are difficult and just lower the difficulty
Personally I disagree. The Kirby series was designed to be aimed towards casuals and very young children, and there level design shows that. Plus, the copy abilities are the whole point of the games, their not an inherent flaw. The appeal of Kirby for me at least were the copy abilities because they were simply fun to use, just experimenting with different button combinations and pulling off new moves was always really fun. That is the main reason why I give the games (Including star allies) a pass because there simply fun, a game imo doesn't have to be hard in order to be fun. Sometimes I just need an easy game to play after playing a very hard one and the Kirby games do provide a relaxing experience to play.
Kirby games are pretty easy but I like a nice easy game that won’t make me hit my Nintendo switch violently while possibly breaking one of my joy cons

Imagine calling a difficult game a "rage game" that's just cringe

They're only rage games if you suck

They should just have made difficulty settings

Agree easy to beat hard to 100% perfect balance.
That intro tho 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Gg on 60 bro!
Thx! Maybe it’s not too fitting for this video but I do like it’s vibe.
Well it's because Kirby is so powerful that it becomes easy
