Bernadette Teaches Music When you chuck, you’re basically playing the previous chord but muted, right? So if I’m strumming down on C, I strum C down again but muted, correct?

Oh my God! This tutorial finally helped me figure out how to chuck. I'd been trying but I could never mute fast enough. I had been strumming with my thumb mostly and it just would not work. As soon as you said the strum had a chuck I figured I wouldn't be able to but after trying it once the way you showed I was able to do it immediately. So thank you!

OMG Bernadette - you just simplified chucking for me. I was getting pretty decent at it anyway. But this simple hand rotation really makes it easy and, more importantly, smoother! I was actually playing along to this video on my guitar and now I can chuck on my guitar , too. Thanks!

Why am I just now seeing this video? I thought I had stalked your channel up down left and right and thought I see all your videos. But I can say I'm glad I did because I had my "Light bulb" moment when you said "now turn your hand and mute the strings" when explaining the chuck. I don't think I have heard you explain it like that but then again this was 2018 and I have only been following for a year. Really love how this has both bari and reg tuning on screen tabs.

Abby Vdl ah no worries, I posted it super late because I was having technical difficulties! Thank you for being here.
This is a resonator ukulele. I’m still testing it out to give a review!

I'm here. Lol New to ukulele and I chose a baritone because I love the sound of classical guitar but my hands give me a problem these days and guitar has become difficult to continue playing.
