One of the things that I love about the ukulele is that almost everything you play on it sounds good.
From a simple chord played with the strumming technique to a more dreamy fingerpicking chord, the uke's sound and tone are always beautiful, calming, and enjoyable.
In this ukulele lesson, I will show you how to play a simple ukulele fingerpicking pattern with amazing sounding chords.
The chord progression is in A minor, and it goes as follows:
Am | Cmaj7 | F | G |
The fingerstyle pattern is also straightforward, and it is played with the thumb-index-thumb-middle pattern.

2× each chord

Make the chords more interesting:
am, 4:35
cmaj7, 5:05
f, 5:23

Finger picking pattern: 2:31
Strumming pattern: 6:09

Wow. I have been playing the ukulele for years and a few weeks ago a chord sequence similar to this one fell out of my ukulele. It's so beautiful, and you create such an incredible sound when you play. Thank you for sharing
_Notice Marco's dynamics._ Some notes are accented, and some notes are brushed lightly, almost ghosted. That provides the sweet syncopation of the finger-picking, and brings out the melody.
If your fingernails are just the right length, you can get a lot of sensitivity by choosing how much of each pluck is from the fleshy ball of the fingertip, and how much is from the fingernail.
You will never get this from thinking too much about it. It is more about feel, listening to your own playing, and feedback. Your brain will grow the new necessary neural pathways while you are sleeping.

I just got my first ukulele... four days ago, haha ... and this is the first thing I've been learning how to play alongside chords. I wouldn't say it's been easy but it hasn't been insurmountable. And I love how a lot of your videos are rooted in simplicity and the fundamentals. This is such an amazing piece of music. I played it in my baritone using the same finger positions but different chords (Em, Gmaj7, C and D), it sounded just as amazing as this one
