You Rock! I’m about to start working on getting my new L8 setup and appreciate all your videos on the subject! I just started watching your channel and have already subscribed! Thanks!
I’m trying to find out how to get my headphone volume louder without having to turn the master volume all the way up. If I don’t turn the master volume all the way up as well as the headphone volume knob, I can hardly hear anything. I have to max them both out to hear something in my headphones. Is this just how they built it? It also causes the amps to peak, and I can’t get around it. Like the headphones volume thing is making me want to return the device. I don’t have this problem with my little Yamaha mixer because the headphones volume doesn’t depend on the master volume. You’re able to control the volumes separately.
Why is it, that I have to look up a video to get some sound out of my headphones on this plastic annoyance that is called Zoom L8...? If my audio signal from the master fader is coming out of the speakers, why is it not coming out of the MASTER Headphone connector?? So far, I have mapped the left side with the faders the "reasonable mixer side", whereas the narrow panel on the right is called "The swamp of eternal stench" And you're just going on about plugging cables together...
@@CastawayStudios Thank you very much for helping! My speakers are connected to the XLR connectors labeled "Master Out" "L" and "R". (2 Powered Yamaha PA speakers) According to the manual, which is shorter than that of my alarm clock, the Master-Headphone-Out should output the same signal as the Master-Out XLR connectors. But only the speakers get the signal. None of the Headphone connectors have output any sound at any time in any configuration I had so far. I have tested my Headphones on the output of my guitar modeler to make sure neither headphone nor cable was broken. I have no problems with analog consoles - used them since the 80's. I assumed I didn't manage, because this is a hybrid console... But with what the manual said, I'm wondering...
Hi, I've purchased Zoom Livetrak L-8 yesterday and I just came to know that I will need a virtual router to be installed on my PC to get better audio quality so that L8 can be directed to the virtual router, if not, sound come out will be a disappointment as feedback by many musicians using L8 on Zoom meeting. I bought this because I want to use it for live performance in ZOOM meeting apps. Is it true? I would just prefer to plug in and play and do not want to go thru a virtual router. Thank you.
Hello, a question. In your opinion how I can connect the L-8 stereo headphones outputs to the mono inputs of some stage monitors without losing one channel signal? (and without setting the pan of every channel in the center...)

How is the setup going? would be happy to share experiences.

Let’s work through this.
Firstly it is the bog of eternal stench.
Where are your speakers connected?

Maybe if your beat (that is your beat) is on the computer you have not set track 7 up to be the USB setting and have the slider up?
@@CastawayStudios it’s not that cuz even on RUclips I can’t hear any audio like anything on anywhere do u think mine came with a defect?
So you have never had any computer audio coming through the l-8? Have you selected the zoom driver as the audio source in the pc settings.

I use a pre-made adaptor. One end is a 1/4 inch stereo male. The other is two female mono 1/4 inch where the signal is split left and right.
I have a question. I recorded and I can see that the file is there but I can’t seem to play it back on the Zoom to hear it. Can you help?
are you talking about recording on board onto SD or into a DAW?
