I have been listening to creepy pastas or true crime podcasts to fall asleep to for almost 10 years. You are the only creator that has woken me up from a sound sleep with the creepy voice acting. Genuinely terrifying and acted so well.
I just found this site a couple nights ago 😃
That voice was really chilling. I want to be able to mimic it for my rpg sessions
I do the same 😁
I still don't understand how half of the listeners fall asleep to it and the other half actually listen to it. I listen while I weld at work and it keeps me distracted and makes my days go by nice and fast.
Jess I’ve had that happen to my, it’s a weird feeling!
NOBODY, nurse nor doctor, is EVER allowed to say "is it unusually quiet tonight?" ... thats a JINX
I was gonna say, tell me you don't work in ER without saying you don't work in ER.
I work on a progressive care unit (we take care of the patients that are "out of the woods" and are just well enough to start getting ready for rehab or to be sent home. We even get patients that are "just sick enough" to warrant an overnight stay at the hospital.)
"Quiet" is a forbidden word even on our unit.
OMG! Preach! I was literally thinking...Noooo! Don't say it! Newbie, fool or both. 🤦
the first thing I thought too....knew something bad would happen then. Bet was a full moon too
@@beckygilmore4798 Haha! Yasssss! Full moon weeks…PTO prime time
Me freshly out of nursing school working the 7pm to 7am shift on a normally busy medical surgical floor.. “We’ll, at least it’s slow tonight.” Everyone within earshot, “Noooo!” Yes, of course we got super busy. Rookie mistake only made once.
Exactly 😅
M
While I was a student, I worked on a ward with two sides, and I was assigned to the side with only one patient, supporting the nurse. The nurse assured me, a little bewildered, that she had never seen the ward this quiet - medicine for the elderly ward, the week before Christmas, and only one patient? Unheard of.
Within an hour the patient's delirium took a bad turn, they were climbing on the beds, absolutely inconsolable, carrying on like they were in the trenches and of COURSE there's not a medic to be found on the entire floor. Nightmare.
Just so you know, words spoken to coworkers don't actually influence the busyness of a company/institution
As I understand it, the words 'quiet' and 'slow' are not allowed in the ER. Especially not near the morning shift change. They brought this horror upon themselves.
"they brought this horror upon themselves." 😂👻
I heard that line and immediately thought this author never worked in an ER.
I'm an emt and we use quiet all the time. We keep a journal at my station that is updated every hour and if it's been chill, we put "ems quiet". Same with shift changes "oh it's been quiet, only had one pt". Never been an issue. Haha I swear y'all just manifest that stuff by believing in it.
@@kutrael5209 b
We learned never to say it was quiet in the ER or ICU
OF COURSE THERES A FILIPINO NURSE BRINGING LUMPIA !!!! I love it
I know, right...??
20:54 "my heart was racing... my palms were sweaty... knees weak... arms heavy... vomit on her sweater... *spaghetti*"
If you say it’s slow in the ER, all staff will look at you with fire in their eyes because it’s about to go down right after you say that
I felt like I was on the edge of my seat. I thought the lady in red was messing with him, just making him believe in the murders. But that in reality no one died. Love listening to you telling a story Thanks
wait what I thought they died
Yeah we bigfoots try to avoid basements in general, especially basements of creepy places like hospitals
I worked in a hospital on the graveyard shift very similar to this one for about 4 years. This story has stirred up some memories...
I use to clean at an very very old HP and I was Also working what we called dead shift and yes I could think of tons of story's half of them ppl would think I'm crazy lol
@@erica4youI wanna hear some
Would you like to share some of your stories?
The employees should’ve became ghosts and ganged up on the lady in the red dress lol 😂 *”Fight back ________! Fight back!”* meme video plays.
Loving the longer videos it allows me to fall asleep listening to them!
Glad to hear!
I Been doing the same thing

I'm still trying to figure out why Dua turned on a boombox in the laundry room.
I can't help but think about the fact the "crazy sign" used by hearing people and the "crazy" sign used by deaf people are similar but different
I've worked ER for 6 years. I'm so stoked for this story. Thank you so much.
Your voice acting is always on point, but oh my god that choking cough at 23:38 was absolutely horrifying, good job man! It's always a delight to listen to your narrations
Basements are typically where the monsters hide
Dude! You’re Scottish, Irish accent was pretty dang good! Great work as always brother!
😂👊
I loved the character of Dua. I'm an ASL interpreter and can picture her panicky signing. GREAT CHARACTER ARCH!
I'm at 6 seconds and paused it.
iS It mE or IS iT uNuSAlLy SLoW ToniGhT?
WHAT DID YOU DO?!
Great work. What a twist 👻
FYI some nerdy fax : the general public can’t get to the morgue. It’s behind security doors. Cops are usually stationed at hospital or are close by all times as well.
Wow amazing story! This reminds of the usual Filipino ghost stories I grew up with. And awesome narration as always!
For context Filipino ghost stories are pretty tame compared to the standard affair with creepypastas but a lot of them do revolve around hospitals with nurse protagonists. They're mostly about the protagonist experiencing an isolated supernatural incident but leaving the experience relatively unscathed outside of now having an awareness of the supernatural. Like this setup was so familiar that I thought this was actually from a Filipino writer but then the big reveal happened and I was like - oh wow this is completely different from what I thought this was going.
New Sub here. I love the character voices. The narrator's inflections are on point. It really gets you into the story. The doctor sounds Scottish. "Help Me" at 22:10 was creepy as hell. Wow! It really gets gory towards the end! I love it! The Devil made me do it.
hey welcome to the channel and thank you!
Ok. I've been listening to you every night for months and thought I might be getting desensitized to tales of horror and what hides in the darkness. I was wrong. This well and truly scared the wits out of me. Brava...now I have to try to sleep. 😱
Man, Stephen you know how to bring the horror! Creepy hospital basements man that's scary!
Now I get. Lighthouse horror is a Beacon of horror. Yea, I know I am sometimes as sharp as a butter knife! Excellent work from you Stephen & writer Kaps, & it is like a symphony of haunting horror the way you put everything together. Always so impressive!
"Dude, the basement of the emergency room is the ambulance parking lot."
I know!! There's something down there!!
"What? Ambulances? EMTs taking a snack break?"
A monster.
"Dude, those guys may have taken the last of the cafeteria's pizza right before YOUR lunch break, but that doesn't make them monsters."
Wow!!! What an amazing horrifying story! The author did a phenomenal job of describing everything! I was terrified while listening bcuz I saw everything in my mind while you were narrating! That was awesome!!!
As a shovel we never have to worry about going into basements
This. Was. Fantastic. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 creepy from the jump!
MANY Thanks to the author.
I officially FREAKED TF OUT!!! This one got me all squiggly feeling... 😬😬
i’ve been listening to creepypastas and scary stories to fall asleep for almost 7 years, i’m 18
now and still need them to fall asleep. i’ve listened to thousands of them, and your channel was like a hidden gem of creepy pastas i’ve never heard. Thankyou Lighthouse!! keep up the good work
We have just witnessed the birth of the next devil hunter!!!
As a hospital housekeeper, ER staff can be good folks. One of the best thing about working in the ER is that they share their food whether it's someone's birthday, retirement, or whatever! And also never jinx yourself if the ER is slow 😅😅😅
Most of these stories needs a part two
Thank you Lighthouse. Your doing great narrations and some of the best thumbnails I've ever seen!
The new artwork is awesome by the way !
Glad you like them!
I love the new artwork for your page !
Yay! I'm so glad you like it! Thanks for telling me!
As someone who worked in the ER you NEVER say it’s slow or quiet
Why?
Love how the mc at 29:10 said "You can talk?" instead of a more appropriate approach "You're alive?"
The moment they said they wanted to go back down there.. I wanted to scream 😭
20:54 legend has it his knees were weak and his arms were heavy. There was vomit on his sweater already.
This is only the second story this year that has been super creepy to me.
I enjoy almost all of them from all narrators though 😁
What was the first may I ask? So I can also get spooked haha
I loved this! Was so freaky, gave me the creeps....
Especially the whispering. With earphones in, it sounded like she was right there!
First, your channel banner is super cool! Second, this is such a great narration! You're keeping my mind entwined in the story while folding clothes. Thank you so much, LH!
hey thanks Michelle!
Hes the BEST narrator out there. Hope you've joined the channel so you can believe me 100%
Yess I needed a story right now✨
I know the character is supposed to be in a state of shock and I shouldn't nitpick...But I'm always annoyed when an unspeakable entity is going "You killed me in 1922 and you shall pay for this" and the human they're talking to cannot even say " Ma'am. M'a'am that was a 100 years ago. I wasn't even born. I literally didn't exist. I couldn't have killed you even if I wanted. "
I mean I *know* that it wouldn't change the situation but that always peeved me.
Great story tho !
First of all- Q word is a JINX in healthcare lol SECONDLY- I had to pause the video during the lady whispering bc I felt my chest tighten and chills everywhere wtf kind dark magic is that sh- 10/10 would listen again good job bby
Edit: ah. There’s no music with the whispering and I’m wearing headphones. (Forgot I have schizophrenia, auditory hallucinations)
Am I SO glad to see you🤗Can’t sleep been tossing an turning for AGES😒
Keep turning your almost there ...
@@remywolfgang792 😄😄
Obviously its me thats hiding in the basement. Creeping about like a wee gremlin 😂😂😂
Perfect! Just in time for bed! Love your narrations
You saved me. My morning routines are so boring, but you uploading saved me
Never tempt the veil between worlds when you're in such a place that its boundary is so thin, like battlefields, emergency rooms, and retirement homes.
Those places are especially close to the aether/alternate reality/heaven/hell/spirit realm.
Never, ever tempt that bpundary with something silly like a jinx.
Damn, I shouldn't have smoked before I listened to this. It's going to be a long night!🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
That was a really good story and a great narration!
Freaky scary story! I’m really glad I finally got better & stopped having to spend so much time in hospital! I used to wander around at night (as soon as I could) & sometimes it was pretty damn scary but I couldn’t sleep lol! ♥️♥️♥️
Im halfway to the story, maybe listening to this while eating might be a slightly bad idea lol
You’re my favorite American narrator….otherwise I like the brits NT and Dr.Creepen 😎
Mr creeps is really good too!
I've got at least 10 creepy pasta RUclipsrs on my subscriptions
Who's NT
Gary outwright, Natures Temper
Thank you
My heart fluttered upon hearing "looompia" 😆
Oh I knew this one was gonna be good!! Hospital stories are the best! And DUDE YOU KILLED IT, AND ALMOST ME. I fell asleep and woke up having a nightmare and hearing that scary whisper voice of the "devil lady". Almost gave me a heart attack. Had me reaching for my pistol! 🤣🤣 this was one of my favorites 👏
You are the best at telling stories. Your voice is the best. I've listened to a handful of people, but you are amazing.
Had to pause and laugh. I work at Mayo Clinic and we do get all the people from outlying hospitals who have been experiencing budget cuts. It all tracks. We'll see how bad they jinxed themselves by calling it 'slow' now.
The scene is so vivid, brought to life by spectacular narration.
I'll be sleeping with the lights on tonight.
Well, clearly they should have called GHOST BUSTERS, because of there is something strange in the basement ...
😂 as a security guard, the moment they mentioned how slow and quite it was I cringed hard! NEVER use the words quiet or slow at work.
This was amazing!!! Loved every second of it. Kept me captivated 🤩
This was a creepy story i loved it especially the demonic voice you did that was so good it gave me literal chills up and down my arms. No other horror narrator has been able to do that. Absolutely amazing Lighthouse Horror keep up the good work.
Really good story! Great narration!!!
Always the best stories
I love you bean….I hope you’re listening to lighthouse too tonight with your new king…and I hope you found the happiness I could never give…I will always love you…
For all time
Thanks LH for another interesting story, and I love the longer one. This was a wild story.
Thanks again for another outstanding video Stephen! You sir are a credit to RUclips!🙂👍

Hey, just heard "the alabama watermelon man" first alabama one for the collection, keep up the great work
Hey Lighthouse, your my second favorite creepy pasta reader. Thanks for the readings!
One of the BEST ghost stories I've heard in along time! Excellent narration as always!! It's 🎃October🦇and hoping there are many more stories like this.❤👍
I was a nurse in a cardiac unit working from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.The most likely time for patients to pass away is from 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. I hated to call the family to tell them that their loved one "Took a turn for the worse". Most family members knew what that meant.
Wow. This was an amazing story!!!
Wow... 😦 that's by far the best story you've done! I wish there was more...
Well, _that_ took a very a very sudden turn for the grimdark. o__O
@15:18 my brain automatically thought, "his palms are sweaty, knees weak arms are heavy there's vomit on his sweater already, moms spaghetti" 😂😂😂😂
Ah, fabulous. I loved this piece!
Man this is such a good story!!!! I wish there were more like these!!!!! Great job with the narration!!!! 👍
Just stopped in to thank you yet again, Lighthouse. You keep pumping them out and I can't stop listening. Best narrator on RUclips, no question. Thanks, my friend, well done.
He described the woman in red and the first thing I pictured was Abaddon from supernatural. She did not disappoint lol
Ahhh my favorite time of the evening.

I oh so love me some lighthouse horror stories
This is one insanely easy fix call Sam and dean Winchester they'll solve this evil revenant in no time. You could always try to do it yourself which would be a lot harder and might end up killing you, but who knows there is always a need for future hunters right?
Right
I miss them
Now i wonder id that's what happened to Dua where she may have went mute or if it's a coincidence. CRAZY
welp, no sleep for me tonight.
great work as usual.
Part 206 of thanking the lighthouse horror for their constant uploads
Great story and narration, as always, LH!
Top-notch storytelling has always.🎃👻🎃
Great story Lighthouse good night 😴 🌃 🌙 ✨
Nothin to do, CLEAN!!
Stevieo has something to say about "quiet" being said in the ER...
the first line tells me theyve never worked in a hospital, ive seen people get kicked off the floor for saying its "slow" or "quiet" lmao
I can honestly say this one is scary AF! I can picture myself in the story and watching the horrific/scary scenes unfold 😵💫😱, lol well done! So glad I found your page 😁
It normally takes a lot to creep me out but this was successful
Awesome job
I work overnight at a hotel. These stories keep me company! I don't know why I do this to myself. 😂😂😂😂
# 6 for me tonight!! Your voice is addictive 🤗😳
Rock on!
I've listened to so many readers all very good in some fashion some amazing at accents some have creepy voices somehow with just clear well spoken content you manage to out do them all whatever your secret is I'm very grateful thanks so much for great work
