    Jeez, he built that mount with one of them 3d printing pens!!! 😂😂

    The first time I saw the "No crush TPU mount" was when I released my RAD Li-ion frame in 2021. I thought I was the first frame designer to use it. I hadn't seen anyone doing it yet at that time. Just a 5mm standoff insert in the TPU with a washer over top to hold the TPU on. I included it on several mount types not just the GoPro.

    The siren f5 has incredible rigidity and resonance. This flys so smooth. I get such a small amount of noise and fly unstabalized GoPro or 03 footage. Looks so good

    Many great frames out there, no matter your budget. I love my Apex Ultra build, my backup is a Source One V3 with the Holybro Kakute F7 stack. Which was my first 5" build, and rebuild 😬. Still flies great. 👍😎

  • @jr_fpv3418
    @jr_fpv3418 Год назад +2

    I have built 2 of them, I was really surprised how good they flew. I usually fly the sourceone or the fpv cycle glide but this was my first high quality part frame I built and I can tell a difference. I used T motor 2080 motors, T motor stack. I don't know if that has anything to do with it beings that my normal quads fly with 16 dollars xing motors and diatone stack and more budget parts but I am super impressed with them. I have crashed it on the concrete and brick several time and they are still holding up.

    I'm a huge fan of the source 1. Especially v3 and v4. Super durable. I'm yet to break anything on them. The only reason I got a new one was cause I wanted to deep clean it.

    Apex 5 ripoff from ReadyTosky for 20Bucks Bulletproof and same as the original. I flew it and this is the best frame for my entire freestyle genre of FPV quads now.

      Also confirm this. Love all the readytosky frames. Just as tough for a third of the price. The micro frames are actually slightly longer so easier to fit the stack, also use m3 hardware as opposed to the m2 used in micro apex.

  • @overtorquednut
    @overtorquednut Год назад +4

    Just flew the Siren F5 Split today, and I can say that it is the best quad that I have flown yet. The PS-3 spacers work great too, but they ARE overpriced. Still going to design them into all the parts I design from now on though.

    Source one v5 is amazing. It’s 90% of the premium frames when it comes to performance yet it’s just a fraction of the price.

    • @carcomp101
      @carcomp101 Год назад +1

      I will give you this, but some of the frames out there (Diatone Roma F5 V2, Evoque F5 V2, etc) have better 'flung mud' and crash protection. But just for a basic frame, the Source One can't be beat.

  • @captainvanover
    @captainvanover Год назад +4

    Of course I’m bias but I’d put the vannystyle in that top 5! All the benefits of an apex but more durable and lightweight :)

    • @MrSmithFPV
      @MrSmithFPV Год назад

      Dont think that your frame is more durable than the Apex. Also only 5.5mm arms. And these break easily. :)

    • @captainvanover
      @captainvanover Год назад +1

      @@MrSmithFPV have you tried the vannystyle frame? just because a frame has thicker arms doesn't make it for durable.

    • @ThePieSnatcher
      @ThePieSnatcher Год назад

      I've tried both and I can confirm that the vannystyle flies nicer but I break too many arms and on apex I've only ever broken one as I smashed full speed into a pole. I don't think any crash I'll have will be as bad as that. The vannystyle broke arms on trees

    As with most FPV components, there is no single best part. Too many times I find we all become fanboys of a certain company or pilots products, and we swear by it and would fall on the sword if need be. Find the right parts that suit your budget and style and embrace it. Above all, have fun.

    Out of 3 AOS frames I've broken 0 parts. CM Shocker Tank I've broken top plates, arms, lower braces. Moongoat shattered a camera cage. I wanna see some evidence that the AOS5 is less durable in my experience it's not even if it looks like it might be.
