I had a shop wanting to charge me 1200 labor .i paid 100 for a air bag and had my freind with small hands pull the old bag out .i remember i was juat about to bbq on the grill i had started to heat my coals and had the job done befor they were done heating up. So i wanted to watch a you tube clip to see if everyone has it as easy. Great video
Thanks for the video. I just purchased a 2005. I heard this is a common problem so now I know what is involved with fixing it. So far I've replaced the altenator , gas cap, and fuel filter. Everything seems pretty easy to work on.
One of the reasons I love Lincolns Town cars, besides the luxury comfort, is how easy and inexpensive they are to work on. The only other issue we have had with this car is a design flaw in the cabin air intake under the hood. The seals fail after about 100k miles and rain starts to get into the car under the glove compartment, so be sure to keep an eye out for that.
I am exhausted just watching this again. One side on my TC does not lift as high as the other. Maybe I need a new solenoid? Hope the air line does not break when removing.
It could be the lines themselves or the connections (o-rings bad/not set or not tight). You could listen or spray a little soapy water on the connections and see if they bubble. (at least the ones you can get to)
If there is a larger leak and the compressor has to run a lot, it will overheat and burn out, so it is important to fix the airbag issue quickly to prevent it.
why have a town car if it dosent have air suspension I went to springs on my first town car the one I have now is a 03 cartier with 65 k I will replace it when needed with bags it rides so much better
I agree...the point of the Town Car is the smooth "riding on a cloud" feel. It's actually not that difficult to replace them and I have never had to do it twice on the same car.
Thanks for the video, Sean. That's a tough place to get to. I'll use what I learned from you to tackle the bags on my 2006 Town Car.
Waiting for that day to come. I'm at 236,403 miles on my 2008 LTC. This is one of the many reasons why I bought the scissor lift.
By far one of the very best cars ever made.

Thank you, you just saved folks $1000.00 way to go Man! love My Town Car
Great video. I need to do the same.
You have a lot of patience!!!

Why wouldn’t you remove the tire first?
Was air suspension standard in the 09 signature series?
Yes
U should of used a metal coat hanger to get the clips off
How much did you spend for the parts
It was about $120 for the two air suspension bags. All the tools I already had, so pretty inexpensive to do yourself.
I replaced my bags compressor and solenoids. Still dropping after few hours parked.. What else can it be?

Air lines or where the air lines connect(at the solenoid or the compressor)
@@leagueestates thank you
