I am exhausted just watching this again. One side on my TC does not lift as high as the other. Maybe I need a new solenoid? Hope the air line does not break when removing.

Thanks this worked well for 2017 Volt! For Canadian Volts, make sure you have 2 programmed fobs in the car (+ the new one in the tray), otherwise won't go into program mode.

Waiting for that day to come. I'm at 236,403 miles on my 2008 LTC. This is one of the many reasons why I bought the scissor lift.

Couldn't get it to recognize the new key in my 2016. Got to the "ready" screen and when I pressed the power button (with or without brake) nothing would happen. Eventually the screen would go black and I would have to exit the programming mode to restart. I tried changing the battery in the key fob I bought and nothing was different. Maybe a dud key fob? I returned it. Any tips? I bought a third party model mentioned in the video and it matched my keyfob exactly.

I had a shop wanting to charge me 1200 labor .i paid 100 for a air bag and had my freind with small hands pull the old bag out .i remember i was juat about to bbq on the grill i had started to heat my coals and had the job done befor they were done heating up. So i wanted to watch a you tube clip to see if everyone has it as easy. Great video

Heres what causes this. From the factory to save on cost they only put in enough oil to allow to let the ring gear (tall gear) to throw oil in the third member area. Then people as in the owners never never ever top them off with the 2.5 quarts they need in order for the axle tubes to fill halfway with oil. The outer tube roller bearings and axles shaft ends then run dry, then after the vehicle is sometimes only 8 years old or has 100k miles its metal against metal. That design of the C lock differential for normal driving, normally other wise would last 50 years if people would top them off with oil directly after they bought a car brand new. Most of the 8.8 like that lincoln has hold 2.5 quarts, but the sloppy factory only puts in maybe one quart to save on cost.

why have a town car if it dosent have air suspension I went to springs on my first town car the one I have now is a 03 cartier with 65 k I will replace it when needed with bags it rides so much better

U should of used a metal coat hanger to get the clips off

Thanks for the video. I just purchased a 2005. I heard this is a common problem so now I know what is involved with fixing it. So far I've replaced the altenator , gas cap, and fuel filter. Everything seems pretty easy to work on.

Been 2 months. Did you launch it again? I like G motors. 9 second delay tho. I am thinking that it may have been coming down at 100 mph when the chute deployed and ripped out the attachment. Any follow up that you can add?

Thanks for the video. But you don't have to remove the entire tray. Just remove the tray liner, under which there is a fob-shaped indentation--on the tray--for you to place the new fob in. Also--this video doesn't make it clear that this method only works if you already have TWO WORKING FOBS, and are programming a third (or more). If you only have *ONE* working fob, and you're programming a *2ND* (or more), then you must use the start-all-over-from-scratch method, with its three 10-minute waits.

If you do this and it doesn't work and you can't even start your car, just hold the power button for 12 seconds to exit programing mode.

Many thanks for the tutorial. It was helpful but I had to follow the other procedure (perhaps because I did not pull out the whole tray like you or maybe that is the frequency / keyfob type difference). Please note and add in your film: you do not have to remove the whole plastic cap from the door handle. Actually, it is possible to slide the matt element on top of the lock cap to the left (front of the car) WITH THE HANDLE ITSELF PULLED TOWARDS YOU for ease of movement. Check it out! I accidentally discovered the cap consists of TWO elements: it is much easier to slide the top part as described above.

Looks like in some cases (like mine) there is a different procedure that involves repeatedly waiting 10 minutes then clicking the power button: ruclips.net/video/q4jnWQSiJII/видео.html I followed that video and it programed my new fob. Strangely lost the programing in my original fob, however. I think I missed a step. The procedure in this video didn't work and actually bricked my car for a short period.
