It's good to recognize this from others too. Threads = they want to talk, no threads= not I'm the mood to chat

Step 2: only leave the threads that lead to the conversation you want to have.

My issue isn’t this. My issue is dealing with people who don’t have this quality lol

I have ADHD, "conversational threading" is my default setting 😂

For some of us introverts, an answer with zero threads is exactly what we want. 🤗

  • @FrenchingAround

This doesn't work for aspies, if I ask you where you're from I'm expecting you answer me where you're from, I'm not going to care about any of the rest 😅

As an introvert I greatly appreciate this concept!!! I know I’m an interesting person but small talk doesn’t come easily and it’s harder for me to connect with others.

My stupid ass: "I won't say that because it's all about me and they might think I am full of myself."

  • @bregghaines1656

I do this every time I get asked a question. I give an answer, as well as 4 nearly unrelated bits of information to keep the conversation flowing

This is so helpful for not accidentally creating conversational threading and being forced to stay in conversations that make you wanna stick a pencil in your ear only to realize you don't have one. Found this really helpful

Excellent advice! As a kid i was very social and knew this subconciously but after many years of isolation i lost my social skills. Thank you for reminding me of this concept.

So I can bring a conversation to a halt faster by limiting the threads. Got it. 👍

Since I became really isolated I noticed a decreased social skill capability and these is one of the things that happens where I basically answer questions like an interview and can't think of nothing else to add and hate it. It's a good reminder to keep that in mind and work my way back up to my normal day to day.
