I’ve been a fiddle player for a long time and just got the itch to try something completely different. I bought a banjo last week and this is exactly how I want to play.
😂 I am a clawhammer banjo player and just bought a fiddle last week! I see your comment is 2 yrs old... I hope you're doing well with your endeavor. Though I started many years ago as a kid, with a dulcimer, the banjo and fiddle have always been what did it for me.
Real nice tune. I do like your style. Maybe you'll do a lesson for this one. Wondering if you sometimes use drop thumb in your playing. Keep those videos coming.
I am also hoping he does a lesson for Angeline the Baker because I think his is the best version I've heard. Also not sure how important drop thumb is in playing.. I'm learning it anyways to increase options down the road.
Wow! Great tone and playing. Also, crazy "psychedelic bubbles " mute under the head
Sounds great. Well done.
Very Excellent. thanks
Man, that's good! I really enjoyed that!
Dang!!! I love your music! So happy to be a part of your journey :)
Excellent, great job. Thank you!

I actually virtually never drop thumb. I wish I could

Very good playing, very good sound !
Nice job. Banjo sounds terrific. What tone ring? Excellent right hand work.
That's a Whyte Laydie tone ring.
Awesome
What tuning are you in?
Judging from his left hand finger positions, it's double C tuning.
Awfully plain looking banjo (except for the gold rim of course) with a not so plain great sound. What banjo is that.
That's a Bruce Berry. My 5th build to be exact.
Can’t wait to get mine! Post more
