This would of been something the rail company knew about prior to this train coming through, the guy filming is probably there doing (what they call as a) 'stand over' and is probably a safety officer of some sort. The train is obviously going slow as it knows of the potential risks its approaching, so this wasn't so much as a staged event or the guy filming was negligent, it's just that the company itself may have been planning on how and when to stabilise the land mound before this happened. I gaurantee they would of had safety meetings on this issue earlier and regular. As usual, it's the overseers (managers) that know about it and still let work commence due to not wanting to spend the $$$ to correct the problem. So, in turn, the little man bares the brunt. Typical.
I think that the man killed the train driver! And was digging the dirt above, so that he could steal the goods, but after realizing it was empty; he posted this video as attempt to claim innocence, but he didn't know that people would question, why he was there...
@@Drivapete He was waiting because what can u do whit it? You can't stop the dirt from coming down. He shouted because he got scared. It was scary for him to see a train derail in front of him.
Dude was a complete noob. Its like he knew it was gonna happen. What are the odds right? I bet he loosened that dirt before the train came through knowing the vibrations would cause it to collapse under itself and de-rail the train. If i were the NTSB I'd be questioning the guy recording.
20 years of watching dust & dirt slowly fall elegantly off the cliff face, he waited patiently. One gloomy day, he had awoken. He knew today was the day. He sternly focused the camera at the mysterious spot.. At last, he has captured the glorious land slide derailing a train.
In case your wondering how the crew can feel that, there is an amp meter in the cab that tells how much the train is pulling. The engineer should always be watching it
@@JordanTheMann Actually, I blame the train. The train knew the dirt was there and he could have went a different route and let that dirt live it's life, lol.
The economic collapse was orchestrated by politicians and their pointless lockdowns, and was entirely avoidable. This landslide is a natural disaster that no one could have seen coming.
I guess you people never saw a landslide before. The parts of hills edge already fell apart. Look at the spot of the hill its side is clean, not full of shrubs of plants. Used to live in a place in a valley one of the hills/mountains edge broke apart of its edge then 2 hours later a large part of it dropped down and almost crushing a neighbors house.
Does nobody notice all the soil coming loose throughout the video? Cameraman saw that, and that's why he was filming. Here's a safety tip for ya: if many small clumps of dirt keep coming loose from a hill, get the Hell out because that hill is shifting and about to crumble. That's pretty obvious, I would think.
JYC422 hey probably saw the little bits of rock sliding down as you could see in the video and thought a landslide would probably happen and that is correct
If he knew the landslide was going to occur, he should have told the train either to not transit the area, or to stop in its tracks. The derailment would have been less damaging if the train had been stationary.
A good reason to give all trains a wide berth. I have seen wrecks where stuff flew off the cars and landed a long way from the wreck site. In that case the train was going about 55mph and when it wrecked it really crashed, cars went every which way and the freight went flying. What an unbelievable mess!

@John Doe I figured
@@HealthyandLovingLife It's a trucking company. And they treat their truck drivers terrible ( hour, pay, benefits....)
I think that maybe he was a security guard and patrolled the area earlier. He seen the dirt falling and told his coworker " I bet the next train that comes by here is going to vibrate the ground and make a landslide" He knew what time the next train would be by there so He started recording. after it happens, you hear him and his buddy on the CB radio talking.

RUclipss recommendation algorithm working its magic once again
“How many cars do you want your train to be?”
“Yes.”
Typical.
If this guy was sitting there waiting for this slide to happen, why didn't he warn when the dirt started trickling down?
I think that the man killed the train driver! And was digging the dirt above, so that he could steal the goods, but after realizing it was empty; he posted this video as attempt to claim innocence, but he didn't know that people would question, why he was there...
@@notsure6834 This is a joke right?
@@Drivapete He was waiting because what can u do whit it? You can't stop the dirt from coming down. He shouted because he got scared. It was scary for him to see a train derail in front of him.
I can see that

Oh you betcha. It always the crews fault. Treating from AZ
I'm sure they will blame the engineer for train handling.

“ Man I just came down a just took out that ....... rail “
The perfect amount of suspense and build up before the big event. Quite impressive!! Hope no one was hurt.
As fleetwood mac would say, well the landslide brought me down
Me: oh its just a little dirt, surely it cant derail a fuckinfuckinn
Train: *jumps off the rails like a soccer ball*
Me: oh..
Still caused less damage to the cargo than if JB Hunt was pulling their own trailers.
1:22 "it just came down and took out that...*brain freeze* rail"
The timing of him saying that 🤣👌🏽, like it's the beginning of a video game mission
So thats how iphone shippings get cancelled?
lol yea
And that is why your amazon package is on a 2-day delay.
Don't you just love it when the camera is still until the event and then someone says something useless?
Dude was a complete noob. Its like he knew it was gonna happen. What are the odds right? I bet he loosened that dirt before the train came through knowing the vibrations would cause it to collapse under itself and de-rail the train. If i were the NTSB I'd be questioning the guy recording.

I am confused. Why was someone randomly recording a train where a landslide happened?
Maybe he was in his job you can hear the radio
Chris Johnson You could see it starting to fall so maybe he thought he should start filming it in case all of it came down.
Yeah. The hillside looked like it was ready to slip
Train spotter
Illuminati
20 years of watching dust & dirt slowly fall elegantly off the cliff face, he waited patiently. One gloomy day, he had awoken. He knew today was the day. He sternly focused the camera at the mysterious spot.. At last, he has captured the glorious land slide derailing a train.
That landslide hit that train like trains hit cars.
I'm sure JB Hunt was not thrilled to see this.
@MERCENARYREVY Me too. I was a OTR driver from 1993 to late 1997.
Neither was SWIFT 😂
In case your wondering how the crew can feel that, there is an amp meter in the cab that tells how much the train is pulling. The engineer should always be watching it
Conrail Gp-40 Guy Automatic air brake too
More likely is the sudden drop of pressure and brakes applying when the cars (and so) the brake hoses are separated
TRAINZ: The Next Generation! legit gameplay footage, man these train simulators keep getting more realistic each year
Still the safest way for Swift to travel !
Don't mind me, just waiting for the, "it's the camera guy's fault" comments.
Haha good call😂
It’s the camera guy’s fault. He could’ve caught all that dirt.
@@JordanTheMann Actually, I blame the train. The train knew the dirt was there and he could have went a different route and let that dirt live it's life, lol.

Landslide: I think not
Plot twist : guy with camera actually that planed the land slide. because he is fired at that train company
😅😅
That's why he is filming the train in portrait mode so he can capture the whole action.
... I thought it was one of those surveillance cameras, who would film a a slow, quiet, boring train? ...that was until I heard the "oh $hit"!
There's a reason he's looking up at the dirt pile from the start of the video. He's just waiting for it.
🤣🤣
Who ever said trains can’t come to a stop under a mile!? ...I was fed lies my whole life
Lol
*Guy just randomly records the EXACT spot where a landslide just so HAPPENS to occur*
Coincidence? I THINK NOT.
Very odd to film a hillside of nothing...
"COINCIDENCE"
You can literally see dirt falling before the land slide you dumb fucks
Te guy had a radio scanner so he was filming the train. I don’t think he expected this to happen.
The Mountain god: " Ya got 60 seconds to get that shit offa my property! 10...9...8....Time's Up!"
so did you know there was going to be a landslide or have you just never seen a train before?
Does nobody notice all the soil coming loose throughout the video? Cameraman saw that, and that's why he was filming. Here's a safety tip for ya: if many small clumps of dirt keep coming loose from a hill, get the Hell out because that hill is shifting and about to crumble. That's pretty obvious, I would think.
Wow. You're really dumb.
JYC422 hey probably saw the little bits of rock sliding down as you could see in the video and thought a landslide would probably happen and that is correct
JYC422 he most likely works for the railroad why else would he be on a radio with the conductors talking about it
If he knew the landslide was going to occur, he should have told the train either to not transit the area, or to stop in its tracks. The derailment would have been less damaging if the train had been stationary.
I like how RUclips took 8 years to recommend this video to me
Wow, just goes to show, just a microcosm of how absolutely helpless we are to combat the forces of Mother Nature
Yeah, but it was cool as hell, huh?
@NIKITA REJEPNAZAROV Hell yeah I know, and it was fookin awesome!!!
A good reason to give all trains a wide berth. I have seen wrecks where stuff flew off the cars and landed a long way from the wreck site. In that case the train was going about 55mph and when it wrecked it really crashed, cars went every which way and the freight went flying. What an unbelievable mess!
