Kate will be a dedicated player and she would like to be a coach in the future.

I would like to see the spot go to Martin... but I will admit up front, I am totally biased.
I don’t care what team Kate plays with as long as I get to keep seeing her on the court. Fair is also amazing and deserves to be on someone’s roster
That’s the thing too. She just might drag some eyeballs to the games.
Fair is the best player here. She can create her own shot. She is a big time scorer.
I like to see Martin get it, but more so if she doesn’t I would like to see Kate go to Minnesota. If Minnesota had a second round pick in the draft, I truly believe Minnesota would have drafted her.
Kate Martin wants to get into coaching, and what an opportunity for her to observe one of the best in the sport, male or female, Becky Hammon! Hopefully she can stick with that team 🤞
Kate Martin is my second favorite player after Caitlin Clark and I am not alone when I say the Indiana Fever should have used their second pick to get Katey. If there is a possibility of trading her the first call SHOULD be to the Indiana Fever as they have a worthy bench from which to negotiate a trade...preferably before the regular season. This would also serve to make Caitlin Clark feel more comfortable playing and living outside of her home base in Iowa...a win/win.
If they don’t keep Martin the Fever will scoop her up 💯

I think you take Martin if you want versatility off the bench. She can play 3 positions, she's more physical and she's 6'0". Also a great leader, great in the locker room. TBH I don't know much about Fair in that regard. I know she's a great scorer. I wouldn't doubt that she was the leader on her Syracuse team.

Martin, I believe, not only has a big hight differential, but is much more versatile and can play different roles for the Aces. That will be valuable over a season!!!
Martin is my favorite player on Iowa.
Faire is a spark plug or difference maker.
Martin will need more time but is a difference maker.

Kate knows everything about her best friend Catlin. They should keep her. But I want Kate with Indiana with her best friend. They bring out the best in each other ! So whichever gets Kate back with Catlin! !!!
The fact that she knows Caitlin so well is why they picked her. Not saying that Kate is not a good player, but she was estimated to go as 28th pick. Indiana had the 27th pick and it was rumored that Indiana was going to pick her.
@@malebovinemanure I was hoping Indiana was going to pick her at the previous draft. Then I figured for sure they would I don't know a lot about the drafting process but I don't understand why Aces and others got to pick more than Fever. I knew someone would steal her because of them playing 139 games together and same coaches. I do hope Indiana can snatch her up SOMEHOW. Agree with you.
@@malebovinemanure I was surprised to see Kate at #18, like in the best way possible. I think the popularity helps and unfortunately, some of the other big names like Mackenzie Holmes and Liz Kitley aren't 100%.
I would love to see Kate land a permanent spot, but I know Dyaisha Fair has worked really hard and also deserves it too.
I'd love to see Kate go to Fever with Caitlin, but I think it's good for them to go their own way and be uncomfortable and forced to adapt to being in the pros. If they ended up as teammates down the road, that would be incredible.
If they don't get kept on or taken by some other team quickly, they got to be thinking it's time to move on. The pay isn't in the millions.

I hope they keep fair. I never heard of her and just happened to see a Syracuse game in the tourney and WOW. It is criminal how underrated and undercovered she was. Every move was a highlight reel
The Aces should keep Martin. Her Hawkeye / Clark association will put butts in seats and make for great TV storylines.

Can they get anything for Parker in a trade? My opinion is that keeping a great player for one year and loosing what could be a great young player forever, is the issue.

Oh man... I hate that it's likely going to come down to this. I'm a huge Hawkeyes fan, so I'm definitely pulling for Martin. She has worked so hard and been an excellent teammate and clutch supportive player to our superstar. She's used to playing in front of sold out crowds, like the Aces have and her experience in winning the Big Ten Tournament several times and going so far in the NCAA tournament twice, she has that under her belt.
I do like Dyaisha Fair though and think she doesn't get enough credit. The fact that she's on the all time scoring list speaks for itself.
Fair and Martin are both grad students. So lots of experience. I would be happy for either of them.
As far as Kitley goes, I think she's super good and breaks my heart she got injured and couldn't play out her college career and won't have the opportunity to play right away in the WNBA. Had she not gotten injured, she would have been a first round draft pick 100%.

@@kathyshea2444 Over-rated? You must know NOTHING about basketball. Her LOWEST ppg while in college was 19.9. And small? She's 2 inches taller than Mugsy Bogues who was a legit men's NBA hooper. Martin is the one who is ASTRONOMICALLY over-rated. Complete waste of a draft pick.

I hope Martin gets picked but they will probably keep Faire because of the team's make up,. Kate doesn't fit. I think the Aces wanted to get her off the board because the internet was going nuts to see her get drafted. She was trending on X big time. The WNBA needs to integrate better than they have been but Kate should go where she will be appreciated. Maybe the Lynx because it's close to Iowa and she has name recognition.

I would think the greater challenge is for Martin to make the team, rather than Fair. If Fair is as good as she showed this season, in particular, there is a history of height-challenged jitterbugs making their teams. Crystal Dangerfield not only proved this theory, but she was an awarded rookie and has continued to shine. If there is one current Aces player who is a possibility to be let go, I think it would be Sydney Colson.

Dyaisha Fair: 3rd all time women’s division 1 scorer behind Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Plum. I don’t know if Las Vegas will deny her but at the end of the day, she’s still 5’5”. Kate Martin would make an awesome teammate and she’s so versatile! I want Kate to land a roster spot!!
She did that in five years though, three of them playing for Buffalo.
Are other teams allowed to pick up the players they choose to drop? If not the WNBA is fumbling the bag once again and all this momentum not going to build like it could....

It’s ironic that the same person, A’ja Wilson, who people think doesn’t deserves her own shoe will now be Martin’s teammate. Playing with the Aces and their superstar, Wilson, means that Martin would have a better shot than Clark to win a championship. You can’t make this stuff up. I like Martin. She’s solid.
I thought Kitley might be a better Pro than Brink before her injury. I enjoyed watching her and Amoore
Kate before Fair….more versatile and strong inside. Should Kate not make final roster…another team hopefully will pick her up. Kate is a valuable to any team.

This was a one sided white girl review. Fair is a scorer and scorer’s make the league. Martin does what Clark does so they don’t need that.
