  • In her Seattle Storm exit interview, WNBA player Gabby Williams warned the WNBA that they are going to lose players if they don't increase salaries. Will WNBA players quit and instead go to play overseas!? Today I take a look at the current state of WNBA salaries, discuss Caitlin Clark's attempt to get players paid MORE, and why the league NEEDS to do better next season.

      But are there enough seasoned corporate females in sports to drive change in the W??? If not, the NBA may have to contribute some men, and I don't care what race they are.

    People personally learn major life issues when they hit ROCKBOTTOM and have to realize that their problems are caused by their decisions and actions. The WNBA is nowhere near rockbottom and has much left to learn. CC has been disrespected so much that I wouldn't blame her if she left for the euro league.

    • @1Steson
      @1Steson Час назад

      As long as they have the NBA to fund them, they feel like they can behave however they want with no repercussions. The NBA enables their behavior and prevents them from ever getting near rock bottom. So they continue to behave terribly with no real world reality to keep them in check with the fans. Other sports leagues operate with the understanding that the fans are their bosses and they have to stay in line with fan expectations (or NO paychecks). The WNBA has the NBA to pick up the bill every year so they do not feel they have to answer to the fans at all, they can mouth off and behave badly all they want & nobody can/will/dares to challenge them.
      I really think they are unfixable and a brand new league with new rules needs to be established, that fixes all the unwatchable nonsense that is the WNBA, and does NOT let the weasels get control of the henhouse.

A lot of these coaches and leaders and stuff don't realize that I never would even know who these people are. If it hadn't have been for Caitlin Clark, I mean, there are some great basketball players out there. I'm not a big fan of the fighting, but angel Reese is a great player and A Boston Mitchell.
    I never would have thought. I would ever have none basketball players, so people that are watching in to watch Caitlin. Clark are learning about all these other people in this sport, which is getting me to start to watch a little more of the other teams, but Not with the fighting If the fighting keeps on, I'll just watch Caitlyn Clark's team wherever she is and skip the rest.

      Reese is not a great player. That said if she got off social media and worked on basic skills the potential is there for her to develop into a great player.

    I have the solution: 1- Mandatory media training for all players, coaches, and "Owners". 2- A clear verbal & visual definition of what a flagrant foul is. 3- ban all jewelry and other accessories(including long nails.) during games. 4-stress sportsmanship & class before, during, and after games. 5- make all the players air any Racial grievances privately with the league & league lawyers so that it can be handled privately which would help the leagues image. These would all go a long way in helping that league progress.

Do you really think this collection of individuals are allowed on their own based on their own judgement to be so anti-Clark? No way. They are being told how to make those calls. If it's just bad officiating, the league would have at least apologized and issued post game penalties or suspensions (Carrington for example), but nope, complete silence. They condone that behavior. This league is a cespool and does not deserve Caitlin Clark, she should sit down with the powers that be and demand things change immediately or she is ending her contract and is done. The WNBA showed this year it’s not interested in growing - it’s a mean girls club that totally embarrassed itself this year and showed why it has never grown.
    I have had the league pass the last 4 years - I won’t be renewing.
    They don’t want the league to grow. They are trying to FORCE Aja Wilson to be the face of the league - Tim Duncan was NEVER the face of the NBA.
    This is trying to purposefully not promote Steph Curry to promote Tim Duncan - was Tim the best player in the NBA at one point - one of the best at minimum.
    But the WNBA has to function as a business - right now it’s a mean girls club and an entitlement charity - not a sports league.
    I am exhausted by the drama and gaslighting.

    When you look around the league CC22 mostly got ignored because the activist league "by that I mean Aja" members started the season complaining about white privilege so the fearful league had to start including all rookies in every sentence as well as they had to ignore CC22 to make sure she did not get flowers that a black player did not get. Thats why Angel got the idea in her head that she was more important than she really was. The WNBA queen started the season with a Montra that the white girl was getting too much attention and the rest of the black players got in line and the commissioner did as well. Do you really think the racist victims came out in lock step on the last day CC22 was on the court for the season? It was a League wide send off to the white girl. The sad thing is they went after one of the best WNBA reps that has ever played. CC22 could be the best rep the league has, she never has anything bad to say about her peers and we all know she is aware of the intended messages the black league is sending, you know how smart she is! If the players rallied around her, she would make them all rich, she graduated in marketing. What about the Three Musketeer's slogan!

WNBA should have spent some of this money promoting all games all through this season. WNBA should have used Caitlin to do this with all other teams and players eg. Yea, the Fever franchise & the Indianapolis economy had greatly made more money due to the Fever b/c of Caitlin Clark!!! Ratings are out and they are not shocking. You have a great game between the Storm and Fever .What was the press conference? Putting all the Fever Fans in a Box and basically calling them racist. So they had yet another opportunity to make a league likeable but instead . You had a player rip on a fan base while the other sat there with sunglasses on acting like she was to cool to talk to the press. The League needs a makeover at least till they can get people to actually watch their games.

The NBA Commissioner made the TV networks agree to dish out 2.2 billion over 11 years starting in 2026 in order to get the NBA rights. If anything, the NBA should announce that starting in 26 there will be no more handouts to the WNBA. With the players calling for a new collective bargaining agreement for 26 and beyond, all revenue the league earns should be on the table and whatever the split is decided between players/owners, that should be all the money the players get. Beyond disrespectful and unprofessional, refs and abusive players. Why are they saying this? Because instead of taking opportunities (aka CC) to grow the industry they make threats we are going to leave because they honestly don’t like the new look of that game CC has brought so now they will ask for more money. When we all know that more money comes with harder work. Playing against CC makes up to have to up your game, which isn’t a bad thing. In fact if you elevate yourself the game becomes more interesting, people will want to watch, buy merch, which means more money for all. Instead it’s easier to cry victim and make demand and in return get what you want. Seems to be today’s social acceptance and we see it AGAIN here. Any one shocked because I am not and haven’t been taken by this “movement” or whatever label you want to call it. This is what I say and how the world should have never changed… it’s called WORK HARDER and maybe then you can get the results you are looking for. Nothing comes easy/free… I know this sounds foreign to this group but this is the real world, the only world it has always been. No one owes you sh*t so stop with the narcissistic, abusive behavior because the people are AWAKE NOW. Fool someone once, fool those twice and… yeah that isn’t going to happen. This is real America, the now, the same individuals who have been yelling fairness since their ancestors were treated so bad (mind you slavery began long ago and all races had slavery if not the majority, not to mention blacks slaved blacks) and now we see this… no values and no morals as humans. Forcing America to eat your false accusations of unfair treatment cry😢 conducting your behavior and speech on double standards. If these are the people that you are… you don’t deserve nothing, let alone a spot on the team, you should move as it will only expedite the the infestation and the need to get rid of these people here in America or you can choice to work harder, resemble the real meaning of team or just remembering why you came here and if those around you are helping then you respect the common goal, invest in self love and how to love others.. this is just a few but then maybe you will get the result you are demanding. In life there will always be choices but you have to work for them. Whatever you choose please stop being a product of your environment as your morals and values are no longer acceptable as I am no fool to the narrative. Best to all ❤
