1974, Dodger Shortstop Bill Russell is on the D.L. with a broken arm, but he is still in the dugout studying the Pitcher, and he noticed that whenever he would shake off the Cather one time, the pitch coming up was always a fastball, so he told Center Fielder Jimmy Wynn, and Wynn saw the Pitcher shake off once and geared up for the fastball, and hit a walk off homer. You can watch as a spectator or you can study every aspect of the game.

    1. Incredible warm up hacks with four bats in hand
    2. Find the pitcher's girlfriend and blow her a kiss
    3. Step into the box and tell Kyle you hate his ballpark design

If only we had RUclips back in the 90’s when I was playing, I would have spent hours on videos like this. Great content for those still playing

Great Tips Matt. Dead on with all of them. So true about walking up to plate with confidence because if you walk up timid a power pitcher has a confidence boost. A pitcher with movement is really confident and will embarrass you and a finesse pitcher well they are in my opinion the most intimidating because they show no emotion. It’s a game between the pitcher and the batter and like the point with Ortiz because you are so right he could be in a slump but it takes one mistake as a pitcher and then it’s over. No one had confidence like that guy. Bonds very confident as well or until he had to face mr Wagner who got in his head. Think maybe it was his height or because maybe he though Billy would switch to the other arm as a natural righty. Pitchers also could benefit from these tips because they need to be aware of the velocities and pitches they throw if the hitter is following all these tips.

My playing days are long over but the best tips I ever got were about seeing the ball. Drilling to get used to seeing the bat make contact with the ball made my average go up by 200 points in high school.

Matt: *hits home run 466 feet*
Mark DeRosa: "He didn't hit it a ton, he didn't hit it a country mile, but hey listen a home run is a home run"

For me it was pretty much think fast and adjust to the breaking stuff. As for location inner half and low was where I could drive a ball. I tell you though your explanation shows just how intuitive and connected you must be to hit at the highest level.

My 14 year old nephew started 9th grade. At least he is interested in being active. He may not nake a team. I want to see if he will stay with it. Besides will send him to this channel if he is interested in baseball.

Just wondering: Obviously, pitchers know they are being watched. Will they try to mix things up in the bullpen for deception purposes, or simply go through their pitches? At the MLB level, will they warm up indoors, or is that ill-advised because pitch breaks are dependent on atmospheric conditions?

I've heard lots of guys just say they always hunt the fastball. Is that a good mentality to hit?

While intro is paused, my guesses:
    1. Bring a bat
    2. Make sure the uni looks good
    3. Wave at the crowd hoping someone waves back. Even cooler if it’s a wink to get a response.
