Hello. Just being curious; why have you opted for large diameter circular columns instead of smaller I-sections? I would assume the I-sections would have been slightly cheaper, and space-saving as well? Thanks
These are 300mm Dia hollow steel pipes... offering more stability... also the I sections give industrial look creating hindrance in interiors.. the quantity of steel used is same in either cases...
Is there any chance of achieving the overall look of the structure/bunglow same as that of RCC structure? Here, all the columns are exposed in the facade degrading the look of the structure.
Chirag Jain actually maintenance cost is less... conventional buildings are otherwise also painted every 5-7 years... the area of steel is very less that’s exposed and it’s very less area... thus there is hardly any difference in transfer of heat aswell...

@Bharath A although the cost depends on site location, Architectural design and number of floors you want to build; you may consider the steel structure with columns beam and slab should cost you @650/Sq.ft.
RCC is cheaper... But when you calculate the overall cost and the total amount spent on structure throughout its lifetime; steel would be economical as it will incur less maintenance and shall payback the value of steel whenever you demolish the structure.../

Steel structures are designed to bear wind and sesmic loads... stay assured as regards technology... As far as cost is concerned, the initial cost shall be more by 200/ sqft than conventional rcc construction... However when you consider total life of building it would economical...
Yes it’s earthquake resistant.... The Video show is taken above plinth and we do have rcc foundation below plinth...however the foundation cost is 20% lesser than conventional rcc structures....

Lift wells have independent structure within the lift well on which all guiderails and weights assembly are fitted…

Decking sheets rest on steel beams and we have shear connectors that are welded on beams which make whole assembly homogeneous…
