- Classic Game Room reviews APACHE OVERKILL for PS3 and PSP, a Playstation Mini available for download at the Playstation Network. Apache Overkill is a side scrolling shooter, or SHMUP, which has an old-school repetitive style reminiscent of early 80's classics like Vanguard and Planet Patrol. Fans of arcade style point scoring may get a thrill out of Apache Overkill's straight forward gameplay and health pack survival system. This CGR review of Apache Overkill for Playstation 3 and PSP has gameplay from Apache Overkill, a helicopter side scroller videogame that can be downloaded for play on both PS3 and PSP.

@bleedingxxaurora I dont get it.... since him and his partner were around, they were doing like ps1 games and other upcoming titles.. they never really just focused on only classic games.

I got 44,601,320 points which should give me the status of general BUT the game left me at the level of Major General. Does anyone know why it didn't advance my status?

I see metal slug sprites and font-styles.
The HUD style looks kind of similar to Metal Slug.

There are VERY few games that don't benefit from having a nuke. The Legend of Zelda is yet to get one, though :(

It's metal slug but in a helicopter !
Looks alright, but if you want a really good game just get Metal Slug Anthology.
Also, they should make it so that PS3s can play all PSP games, then PSP games would sell way better. Maybe nobody would buy a PSP then? I dunno, I'd still play mine, even if just for Monster Hunter.

this game was terrible. i think i just expected to much from it. I saw the Metal Slug like chunkiness of the vehicles and assumed this was more like the helicopter portions of Metal Slug X. oh well, at least it was cheap. lol

This game did sort of remind me of Metal Slug series. Looks like the Metal Slug series is five times better than this turd of a game.
