All the big studios are already full, Bones with MHA Season & Movie, Production IG with Kaiju no8, Madhouse with frieren and overlord movie, and MAPPA is always at full capacity, Ufotable with DS and the Genshin Anime, Perriot with Bleach ( & black clover according to leaks), and mid size White fox is busy with Sengoku Youko, ReZero. So there really was no studio was free for big work anime like OPM. Its good that JC stepped up and took the project, i am somewhat optimistic that they can improve

They just do what they want, and whatever it does it makes big bucks, they take a bit of a break with one or two cool animations for games or just for the hell of it, and they peace out and wait for the time they need to make another big project

I don't think OPM can re-deliver the same quality animation as it did with very first season. It's near impossible now, to bring all of them great artists who helped in the creation of season 1.

Have a look at their roles too. Animators like Chikashi Kubota were the animation director for s1. For s2 and s3 they are only opted for character design. Connect the dots. Use your brain.

We probably won't even get the final from the monster association arc whit season 3. JC Staff surely will adapt the Manga until chapter 113 or so (whit 12 anime episodes). And the rest of the arc in season 4 but than they need 24 episodes to cover everything.

But considering the trailer footage we saw was a preanimated sequence Aoki made for the trailer, it's safe to say the actual production only started VERY RECENTLY. It may end up being the Edens Zero team handling it, since EZ' s2 ended October 2023 - it would line up that they've moved to this project 🤷♂and Aoki was also there - but i guess it could still be another team from J.C. Staff. Keep in mind that just because the anime got announced around a year and a half ago, that doesn't mean they've been working on it all this time - they clearly haven't. There's plenty of examples like this.

The animations showed in this announcement were animated by Kenichiro Aoki solo, that means JC Staff haven't improve their quality, and probably they haven't work in any scene of third season as a studio, I mean every cut is recognizable, this is Aoki's art in every frame. Edit: Probably they are still in preproduction, the project don't have a director yet
I would have been happy even if it was Toei animation. JC STaff...not so sure...they may make great visuals but their animation quality lacks...the lack of fludity and camera work and also their dependency on CGI sucks everything out... Guys, JC Staff is crazy good and worked on projects like SAO and Danmachi If you've watched these 2 (and especially their later seasons) you'd know these guys have some CRAZY animation quality As far as we know, season 2 of OPM took them from 4 to 6 months to make and that's BARELY anything If they take their time with this project i think it's safe to expect some OPM s2 levels of quality from this season 3
For those who don't know, even though season 1 and season 2 were from different studios but they were made by the same animator team but season 2 has more animators than season 1, but they only got 6 months to finish all the 12 episodes while season 1 took around 1-3 months making just 1 episode. Same series compositon (Tomohiro Suzuki) Same Art Director (Shigemi Ikeda, Yukiko Maruyama) And some others ... The entire reason for why season 1 was as mindblowing as it was, was because of its director, Shingo Natsume. He's got connections across the industry, and brought in pretty much an all-stars team of freelancers to elevate the season above and beyond. That was the key resource that JC Staff didn't have access to while making season 2. Granted, JC Staff aren't / weren't as experienced with high-intensity action series in general, which shows, but it was Natsume's personal investment in the project that made the biggest difference It's a good thing that they don't have Kodansha as a producer because they will be rushed Kodansha is known as a bad producer because they are the problem that makes AOT S4 not as good as previous seasons.
As the video says, the season 2 was a flop thanks to the production issue.. the project was given to them with very bad schedules time.. and hell they even got Jojo Sound designer director to work on the second season but to bad he can't keep up with the schedule. Btw these people need to know that they have no idea what JC Staff look like when they go all out. I had to stop taking this seriously when he said people think the teaser was better than the entirety of szn 2 of JJK, nothing about the teaser gives reason to panic or praise, let's just pray and wait.
Guys, just so you know the reason season two looked like crap is that they not only had to abide to Japan's seizure laws (You can thank Porygon), but also the fact that they weren't given enough time for the animation, meaning they had to cut corners. So, expect some motion blur in this season, but please do not blame Staff, blame the seizure laws and get the Blue Ray version of you want to see PEAK at it's purest form. Just a word of warning
The fact is season 2 was pretty bad compared to the standard we now have for anime and even worse compared to the 1st season. We are right not to have too high hopes for season 3. There are way more reasons to believe season 3 will be bad than the other way.
JC were extremely kept extremely tight of time they had for season 2. They currently are not very busy in comparison to the other major studios around so they can put far more effort into this without that same issue as before. The trailer looks very crisp. Certainly up to the level of current animations being produced. I think it's the logical and right move. Very optimistic and hope they won't let us down.
This is why being such a critical snob sucks because you are never happy with anything, and that goes for the sheep that want to be like them agreeing with them. The fact is season 2 was pretty bad compared to the standard we now have for anime and even worse compared to the 1st season. We are right not to have too high hopes for season 3. There are way more reasons to believe season 3 will be bad than the other way.
JC were extremely kept extremely tight of time they had for season 2. They currently are not very busy in comparison to the other major studios around so they can put far more effort into this without that same issue as before. The trailer looks very crisp. Certainly up to the level of current animations being produced. I think it's the logical and right move. Very optimistic and hope they won't let us down.
