Anyone who listened to such disparate talents as Terry Kath’s solos at the Fillmore ‘69, (There’s a reason Jimi thought he was Terry better) or saw SRV doing Texas Flood at El Mocambo, Danny Gatton the night they recorded Sweet Georgia Brown (later became Humbler Stakes His Claim posthumous LP) Gary Moore, Shawn Lane, Jeff Beck, Roy Buchanan, or JJ Cale doing Reality live, knows Hendrix wasn’t god.
That intro, where he duets! What a great lead into the song. I NEVER tire of listening and watching to countless live versions of this song. It seems to be the one that consistently brings out the best of his playing. Not being able to see the band here, but I'm going to guess Greg Phillinganes on keys? Steve Gadd on drums? Surely Nathan East on bass?
