This is a very beautiful performance of Franck's violin sonata (the best ever composed). One arrives at the above conclusion after carefully listening to the highly emotional playing of both musicians. Having a complete command of the structural aspects of the music, the performers concentrate quite successfully on bringing forth the appropriate sentimentality of this highly romantic violin sonata. Bravo, excellent playing.
I enjoyed every moment of this recording. It's a great sonata but isn't easy to pull off and these two young women are convincing and persuasive all the way through. It is a sonata for violin AND piano so may I just offer a special word of gratitude to Nino, who played with just the right degree of passion, delicacy and self-control. Thank you for allowing us to see this wonderful performance.
Well crafted and deeply felt work. I like it very much, but the greatest ever written. I don't know. A few others come to mind: Schumann, Brahms, Bloch for example. The playing was with commitment.
Great performance! One thing. This is no harmonics-sonata. I was a bit bothered by the harmonics and the glissandi up to harmonics. It's my personal view, but I think this sonata should be played without any harmonics, every note stopped. It is not that kind of sonatas that need these trivial superficial effects. And I agree with Constantine: It is the best violin sonata ever composed.
Definitely one of the best versions of Cesar Franck's violin Sonata !!!

can't believe this is live
Einfach schön! Die Töne der Geige sind wirklich seidig. Die Klavierbegleitung ist auch ausgezeichnet.
-- Un très agréable moment musical. --
... inmejorable ejecución, seria y plena ...
Piano doesn't sometimes suppress the violin ?
The ladies play wonderfully, but the piano sounds very loud. A question for the sound engineers.

Gran bella sonata. Non la migliore mai scritta come qualcuno dice, ma tra le più belle. per me la Kreutzer di Beethoven è inarrivabile
Hm... You're not playing the notes... but I like the floating technique.
