well said my friend, Bruno was brilliant but unfortunately he was alone for two years with teams that were no longer competitive, in addition to the fact that due to the dog's accident he did not want to know anything else
Arguably being able to match times within tenths of a second amongst 21 other people in the whole world at the highest level of motorsport makes you pretty successful.
To be frank, Bruno wasn't that bad in F1. It's easy to forget that he had to give his car to Valtteri Bottas in numerous FP1 sessions in 2012, which would've prevented him from absolutely maximising his pace during weekends, although Bottas > B Senna overall. There were races in 2012 where he showed really good pace (like Malaysia and Hungary, he finished within 10 seconds of Button and Alonso in the latter), but he was inconsistent for sure. It's strange how in 8 races, he made Q3 4 times in an underdeveloped 2011 Renault that was falling down the order over the year, yet in 20 races, he only got to Q3 once in the 2012 Williams, which was arguably as quick as Mercedes, Sauber and even Lotus at times. In any case, Williams chose two fairly incomplete drivers for 2012, they should've given Barrichello another year. I'm sure Rubens could've won Spain, but he also might've scored podiums in numerous other races (Monaco, Valencia, Singapore, Abu Dhabi) given his better consistency. The FW34 really wasn't used to its full potential, sadly.
You also had to take in consideration that he couldn't develop "normally" as a driver because his mother forbade him to continue his racing career after Ayrton's death!
We also shouldn’t forget that because of Ayrtons tragic death Bruno started his serious racing career at a rediculously late age in comparison to other drivers. The fact that he even made it into F1 and didn’t completely drown in a really strong field is more than noteworthy in my opinion. I admire the guy
man, if Ayrton hadn't died then Bruno's karting career would've been able to continue. Ayrton famously said in 1993 "if you think I'm fast just wait until you see my nephew". If Bruno hadn't lost those 10 years of potential experience he'd be unstoppable.

Bruno Senna had decent pace, but clearly not as fast as his uncle, however I'm sure Senna would of been looking down on him being happy that his nephew made it to F1😊
He had a lot of potential to be explored, and we must agree on this. Given the fact he was away from a race car for 10 freaking years, still made it to F1 and still scored some points!! This is awesome either way! Your average Logan Sargeant could never pull something like this.
To people saying he is slow here, it's not him, it's the car... You can tell the car doesn't have a good setup for the circuit. Tyres are locking up and no grip at front
Tires aren't even locking up, this is just inconsistent driving. FW34 was the best Williams car produced since early 2000's (I don't even count 2014 FW36 as better as it was mainly from an engine advantage).
@@C3llomanhmm from my perspective the tyres lock up multiple times, and you can see he's struggling for grip, you can tell because he keeps forcing the wheel through the corner
He may not be successful but his uncle Ayrton would be proud seeing him drive in the F1 :)

"If you think I'm fast, just wait until you see my nephew Bruno". We waited and saw him being trashed by Maldonado.
