It was planned as a hybrid track with one half being permanent and the other being a street track
I’d like this track to come back TBH. Looks pretty good to drive and watch. Never saw it live though.

strangely Vettel's 2010 pole lap at Korea was faster. Also do a lap of Valencia with Vettel in Ferrari or Hamilton in Mercedes (2 polesitters at that track).
Ist was a pretty shit lap missed lots of apexes and didnt keep minimum speed

I prefer the buddh circuit in india tbh, that one is golden. It’s a shame the indian government never really embraced f1.
I remember this track very well and it wasn't good at all. 2010 was great because of torrential rain, but all the editions afterwards were borefests. This track was a failure from the start as the proposed city around the track is never build.
Sekhy Hybrid the fact it was 400km away from Seoul didn’t help. I remember 2013 race being pretty good though, the 4 way fight between Hülkenberg, Hamilton, Alonso and Rosberg was good

Seems like a fun track when qualifying but with these modern cars overtaking could be difficult
Second straight with a hard braking zone must be an easy overtaking spot. Anywhere else is almost impossible
It's gonna be like red bull ring. 3 long straights 3 sharp corners
It would be hard when your tyres get worn
The last 2 corners before the start/finish line are already flat out so Turn 1 and then turn 2, after a very long straight with Drs, are easy overtaking points, maybe even turn 3. Everywhere else of course it’s impossible. I would love to see this track on the calendar

This track was not even ready it looked like a factory area with a track in the middle. As a layout it was perfect and great for racing. I would like to see this track Buddh and Sepang in the f1 calendar instead of Sochi,Abu Dhabi and Hungary

I'm Korean, and to be honest, I find Inje Speedium to be tighter and more fun than the Korea International Circuit (personal opinion).

This circuit is very complicated!
it's terrible for an actual F1 race. Classic "bad" Tilkedrome design: straight to heavy braking to straight to heavy breaking to another straight, meaning you can only overtake in sector 1.
However, in Assetto Corsa and F2010 to 2013, it's one of my favorite tracks to play. I think it's a good track for GT cars. I remember they planned to hold a round of the Super GT championship a few years ago, and that would be really cool with the length of the track and the Super GT field

Just look at this ''amazing, and thrilling'' first sector:
- Long straight
- Hairpin
- Another Loooong Straight
- Hairpin once again
- Another long straight (seriouslly?)
- Hairpin again!!
- Here one more hairpin
- And hairpin again (WTF!!...)
Things get a little more interesting after this but stilll a very lame and horrible track designed by Herman Tilke...

I mean by your logic Barcelona should be a great track. At least you can overtake on that circuit. Who cares about hairpins if they provide overtaking. And the second and last sector is amazing. C'mon dude
@@hbrtoni414 Barcelona IS a great track. The problem is those extremely aerodinamic downforce dependent cars. Many others great track have the same problem with F1 cars also.
Hopefully things will get better with 2022 regulations...

We want to see racing, in the race we dont care how cool and fast the track is. If a track needs a hairpin, it is fine. As long as the hairpin serves as an overtaking opportunity, why should we complain. I dont get your point. If the incredibly slow chicane in China didnt exist, Racing would be even worse. Silverstone has two hairpins right after another. It already produced good Racing. Hairpins are complainable when you cant overtake there (Bahrain T8, Suzuka hairpin, Melbourne penultimate corner etc). For me it feels more like a reason for hating Tilke. The first sector in Korea provided some Racing. He didnt put them there for no reason. I would rather have a track with good racing but half of the corners being hairpin like than having something like Barcelona which is nice to drive but with no action on track because there is no real braking zone after a long straight. 2022 rules wont make the track like Silverstone or Austria, you see that even in F2 there arent many good battles even tho they have less downforce. My point is that it is completely irrelevant how a track is shaped. If the racing is good who cares. And the racing in Korea was fine. The first sector has so many straights and hairpins because the other sectors are impossible to overtake on

It is hilarious to see that someone really misses this track, haha. One of most shit tracks, even Valencia was better.
