Hi, Matt and Cheryl. I just want to tell you how much I like this video. We have lived here in Jackson for a long time and this is a great summary of seeing GTNP in a day. I came across your video because my grand-niece and her son are coming to visit in a month and I was looking for a good video to send them about the Jenny Lake shuttle and Hidden Falls/Inspiration Point. Yours is excellent and I'm sending it on. I'm sending the Yellowstone one as well. Thanks for your work.

It has been over 40 years that I was there and did the same route but went all the way up Cascade Canyon. Inspiration Point has changed a lot. It was not groomed and level. You picked a rock to sit on and hang out. Unfortunately all the National Parks have gotten so popular that it is like going to Disney with all of the people and traffic. You must have patience now days. Enjoyed the video.

Such perfect timing! I was just about to look for a video about this, but didn't even need to search.
We did this exact thing last time we were there at Tetons NP, but we also did a snake river raft ride on a different day. We hope to repeat both (now our boys are older), but we only have one full day in the park this time. We were thinking we would want to do the raft ride in the morning (better for wildlife viewing), and then Jenny lake in the afternoon. But I guess Jenny lake would be packed by then. I suppose we may have to pick between them.

Hi Matt and Cheryl. Thank you for your suggestions of how to do the highlights of the grand Tetons. We had an awesome day today, June 26, 2022. There was a light crowd at Jenny lake. We had a late start and arrived at Jenny lake around 1:30 and got a great parking spot in the main lot. We walked to the ferry and the boat was waiting for us. No line. We walked to hidden falls and inspiration point. There was a nice amount of people and it wasn’t crowded. If anyone is thinking about visiting I would suggest going NOW. Perfect weather, hotel availability and no crowds. I was also told that Yellowstone has no crowds too.

My wife and I visited Cody, YNP and Grand Tetons over the last two weeks. Awesome trip.
    A word about lake Jenny
(Pronounced Jen-aaah like forrest gump in my vernacular). We did the EASY walk to hidden falls and walked back around the lake via the short way.
Easy is relative. That trail is rough. Much care must be taken to avoid twisting a 63 yr ild ankle. Lots if rocks, roots and loose gravel. We couldn’t establish a rhythm and we were pretty tired (even though we saw a cow moose in a pond towards the end - strangely, there wasn’t a flying squirrel to be seen).
There were 20 somethings running on the trail so obviously it was easy for them. It wasn’t for us.
I walk an average of 5 miles a day with 400 feet of elevation change here in the N GA mountains. I am 63 but not in bad shape.
It was last Wednesday when we took the boat over and did the walk back. It was about 3pm when we started . It was hot and dry. Elevation was a lot. Well over a mile. We took 4 20oz bottles of water (this after downing two or three others before we started. We drank it all and were very glad to have had it.
A early morning walk would have been much cooler and much less thirsty. But it was what it was.
We are glad we did the walk but we won’t do it twice- (unless I can employ some sherpas to carry cold beer for me on the trail).

Rare good explanation of the trails around Hidden Falls etc. Do you know how long it took the park service to rebuild Inspiration point? Unbelievably slow, it is almost like the Park service delights in slowing down the visitor numbers. It took years to do what a normal crew could do in two weeks, I am not kidding.
