    We are heading to Grand Teton in a couple weeks. Do I really need to carry bear spray?

    Do you know if Grand Teton currently has a timed entry reservation?

    Excellent video. I particularly enjoyed the pictures that you inserted throughout. Excellent editing.
    We’re visiting the Tetons mid-Sept this year. We’ll have a handicap sign for our car. Are there sufficient handicap parking spots, especially at Jenny Lake?😊

      Yes, there are quite a few at Jenny Lake. Have an amazing trip!

    Hey Ash! You do amazing work! Thank you so much!
    I’m planning a honeymoon the week of Labor Day and we would like to go to a national park. However, we also want to have access to a town where we could get dressed and have nice romantic dinners and lay back a bit.
    Was thinking of staying at Jackson Hole and visiting Teton daily. Do you agree? Any other ideas you think I should look into?

    • @DirtInMyShoes

    Love your videos. I have reservations at Madison for 5 nights but I can't find anything for Grand Tetons. Hopefully I can get lucky when I get to Yellowstone

    Ash, thank you so much for this video, it is a great resource. I’m making my way to the Tetons as I type this, (Nov 10, 2023). Plan on spending a couple nights boondocking around the south end of the park, Jackson, so I can get into the park early Monday morning. Would love to get some sunrise photos and early morning wildlife photos. Are the gates open for vehicle traffic 24/7?

    • @DirtInMyShoes
      @DirtInMyShoes  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yes! As long as the road is open, you can get through the entrance at any time. Enjoy!

    Great information, Ash! But did you only use still pics in your video because uploading non-permitted video to RUclips is now illegal? As I watched, I slowly came to that realization... 😞🇺🇲 Can't wait to see Teton in July. On the plus side, we survived the Glacier Vehicle reservation drop on March 1, so we can get in there!

    • @DirtInMyShoes
      @DirtInMyShoes  Год назад +1

      Woohoo, glad you got your Glacier reservations! I actually just don't do much video recording in the parks in general...personal preference because I don't like taking videos to take over my experience while I'm there. But I do hope that they figure out a way to allow people to use video without needing a special permit...that doesn't make much sense to me if you're not bringing in a whole crew :(

    Hi.. My son and I secured one night in Death Canyon, and will stay in Alaska Basin to complete the Death Canyon loop.. We will get to a ranger station two hours before they open to try and get a night in Upper Paintbrush Canyon so we can do the Paintbrush/Cascade loop… What do you think our chances are of getting a night in either Upper Paintbrush or the North Fork Cascade area?? Thanks for your information!😊

    Thanks for your work on this! Planning a trip to GTNP next year and looking to camp. With the 6-month reservation system, if I want to get a site for multiple nights, would you recommend reserving the site 1 night at a time as it becomes available 6 months ahead? It sounds hardcore but I am prepared to “camp out” on the website multiple days in a row to make sure I get my site!!

    • @DirtInMyShoes
      @DirtInMyShoes  8 месяцев назад +1

      You'll find a camping video for Grand Teton here on my channel, so I would watch that for sure. But no, you only need to be there the first night it opens up, and then you can book multiple nights at that time!

    Excellent video! My family will be doing Paintbrush Canyon/Cascade Canyon Loop in Late August this year. I am seeing some people online suggesting Ice cleats/microspikes. Do you have an opinion on if these are necessary? Thanks in advance

    • @DirtInMyShoes
      @DirtInMyShoes  Год назад

      By late August you should be ok, but the Jenny Lake Rangers have a website that they update with snow conditions, so you can check that. But by late August, you shouldn't need any special equipment to hike that trail. Have fun!

      When we were at the Grand Tetons, it rained the first day. The second day was cold, so we didn't ride the bike either day. However, July should be better. Now, when we were at Yellowstone, we witnessed some aggressive drivers during the two days we were there. Be careful and enjoy.
