Kate as an etherial quality to her voice laced with traces of her beautiful Yorkshire accent which I find mesmerizing. I grew up in the 50´s and 60's listening to and enthralled by the amazing Sandy Denny who sadly passed away far too young. Kate has taken up Sandy's place as the UK's foremost female folk and contemporary singer songwriter and although she has a different singing style to Sandy for me she is definitely on par. Long may she continue to please audiences with here inimitable style, the quality of her voice and her homely 'Yorkshire lass' character and humour. Thanks for sharing this video.
(re: song about the step mum shopping up the the king's daughter into little bits and serving her to the king) "That's Lancashire for ya! Wouldn't find that in Yorkshire!" LOL I love it!
Stunning...simply stunning...to hear an accent so honest and genuine is such a simple but rare pleasure. I've never lost my accent, but here down on the other side of the world it has no value or history. This is such a wonderful reconnection to my history & my roots. Kate, you are a national treasure!
Such a beautiful voice. Nothing like it anywhere in the world. Why don't we hear more of her on national radio here in England? Best wish to you Kate. Keep safe and well.
Ah! A reprise for this, which I first heard years ago, then superceded by the Documentary, similar but longer. Great intro to those rare people who have never heard of her or heard her lovely songs and voice.
Потрясающей глубины и красоты голос.
С большой любовью из Беларуси.❤️
