One of the strongest Eurovision years, completely ruined by drama and controversy. And not even the fun kind, this was legit very frustrating and concerning.
Hopefully EBU learned their lesson and next year (They most likely didn't) we will have way more peaceful Eurovision.

We're quick to bash the EBU, but let's not forget it all stems from the Dutch contestant and his needless insubordination! Yeah, Israel's participation raises some questions, but the only way to contest that was to perform better and outshine them in the rankings. Something Joost failed to do.

Lithuania deserved better! And this Eurovision has been a shi*show. I've seen people hating on Nemo and their win, the whole Joost drama and the main talking point. One of the things that made me happy was seeing Phillip again for Austria. We love the guy with the Equality shirt, talking truthfully and I hope to see him for many more years!

I love and adore Silvester Belt so much. He was my absolute favourite this year. I wish he had at least ended up in top 10, he deserves so much more. I have been listening to his song on repeat since the semi final. Lithuania always delivers! (love Nemo too ❣well deserved victory)

Thought Luktelk was catchy when I first heard it until I liked some other entries more, with Doomsday Blue being my favorite. I remember reading up how he wanted to be in Eurovision one day. At first, he tried attending Junior Eurovision but he didn’t win and people made fun of him. Look at him now. He achieved his dream (Sadly, another person wanted to be in Eurovision too but it got fucked up. You should know who I’m referring to)
Also, glad The Code won because it’s definitely better if Israel didn’t win this year. Plus, it so happens it’s my 2nd favorite song
Me too. He got a good few of my votes. It's an absolute banger! Still stuck in my head and I'm loving it. Silvester and Bambie dancing to his song in Euroclub and then in perfect sync with each other to Loreen just warms my little heart. So cute ❤ He definitely deserved a top 10 spot

Norwegian here, and I'm so proud of Gåte making their way to the finals and giving us a great performance, no matter the result. Also very happy for Nemo and the 2 Norwegian songwriters on their team, Lasse Midtsian Nymann and Linda Dale 😀

As a Dutch guy, I'll say; we weren't the only ones that got robbed this year. I really enjoyed Norway's entry and they deserved so much better ❤
Gåte had the energy from Voyager. Flag Parade and you saw that happiness energy and excitement Alla Voyager, so cool

Itm from Argentina so I don't have a horse in this race, but I can't believe what happened with, not only Joost, but Ireland and Switzerland. Bambie Thug and Nemo complained about awful comments from the Israeli press, and they then went and cut Joost out of the Finals...this was so SO sad.
Btw Baby Lasagna feeling sad and thinking no one wanted to see him when he landed back on Croatia 😭 baby nooooo!
the Israeli delegation and press absolutely destroyed every bit of enjoyment and excitement for the artists this year and what’s worse the ebu doesn’t even seem to care the ebu needs a reform ASAP.

there was also photos of israeli journalists taking photos of outside from Greece Marina's room, mocking and writing horrible comments. I think they kicked him out 30 min before the finals...but that was already too late lol
@@ESCRollyyep fully if just a few people had been removed everything would have been ok, but oh no the EBU didn’t want to lose their sponsor money. Just bring all of the artists this year back and do it again and add Romania or North Macedonia or someone else instead of them
The double standards of the EBU, unfair disqualification of the Netherlands and the behavior of the Israeli delegation simply destroyed this competition, which could have been one of the best.

nemo had to smuggle in a non-binary flag in the flag parade because for some reason they are not allowed?? kind of weird when the trans and gay flags are allowed.

From what I understand, the only flags that were allowed were those of participating countries, and even then only when they were unedited in any way. Someone from the public tried to enter with a Dutch flag that had #JOOSTICE written on the white stripe, which was also not allowed.
Similarly (and hilariously ironic); I've heard reports that the EU flag was also not allowed. Because, again, technically not a participating country. 🥴

I really want the own language rule to return. It gives so much more diversity in music. Also I really love folklore music.
i like when countries bring folklore music however i think the reason the own language rule was removed was cause the uk and ireland kept winning/placing higher since for them their own language was english and so it was an unfair advantage
I think we're going to be seeing more national-language songs in the coming years. This year, the only national-language song that did NOT qualify was Australia. (I know Megara's song is not in English, but nor is it in the national language of San Marino). I think people want to see national-language songs, and I think countries are noticing that.
Baby Lasagna is MY winner, but I am happy for Nemo, a well deserved victory.

As a Norwegian I am a little surprised that we came last but i thought that we were going to do bad but not that bad, our song is very typical norwegian and i think that people form other countries struggle to understand what is going on and are struggling to find the melody. But lets be honest, we were not worse than Slovenia and the UK
