Just cause I read some comments about that topic: Of course I also loved and appreciated Manizha's feminist message. Only mentioning her performance related moments and calling Destiny the "feminist queen" probably was a poor choice. Ok at the beginning I didn’t like Germany’s song but oh my god jendrik who gave you the right to be that cute- like that wholesome little smile and excitement is ugghh so cute
At least we tried something this year. And while it didn't pay off in the end it was still something different than all other German candidates the last years. I'm not a fan of the song but it's not something you would assume coming from Germany in general.

I saw on Instagram a clip of Gjon’s Jury performance and the high note at the end was changed slightly but it was even better than it was in the grand final.
Correct me if im wrong but Jendrik is just so cute the way he was during his performance was just so adorable. I feel sorry for him getting hate comments, since the moment his song was chosen for germany, on social media. Those comments were mostly from germans saying that he will get 0 points, but even after all of this he still had fun❤
As a german i agree. Not my type of music but it really gets in your head (is earworm a term in English?) and the more you listen to it the better it gets. He doesn't deserve all the hate.
I might have been bouncing up and down excitedly waiting for Lordi. Every mention of Lordi made me lose my mind. Beautiful bonus is listening to my father's tales about the organisation. You see my father works in the Rotterdamse goverment. That means he had to organize keeping the bridge free and tests with the lighting. My father kept getting mails from the people there like: "wtf is happening with the bridge?" He had to keep it secret the whole time. I didn't know what he was working on either. Yeah I know what he does but I didn't know that they were going to use the bridge as a light show.
2021 was undoubtedly my favorite year, loved almost all entries. So many good songs! Especially after this years ESC with all its dramas this video just makes me sad and happy

He’s actually a musical singer and if what he said is true then it wasn’t actually his decision to sing this song but the German jury said he has to sing that song he actually has good songs
I was full on "Yes gurl slay!" when Maneskin won, right until they showed Ethan's reaction, at which point it switched to "Awwwhhhhhhhh, he's so adorable!"
This year's Eurovision was so GOOD. I never really cared about it i honestly only watched it for Maneskin (Italy) but I was surprised cause everyone stepped up their game.

Albina abused her pre-recorded backing vocals. If you pay attention, you can spot numerous moments where she's doing literal playback. If she sang the whole thing (and she could, as evidenced by her Dora performance), she would've qualified. I wanted her in the final too, because her show was great, but one can understand why she didn't qualify.

I love that you included something about every country, regardless of whether they qualified to the final or not. They all put so much effort into their performances, whether we like them or not. It takes a lot of guts to participate. It's nice that everyone's appreciated:)
Agreed but I didn't see Portugal
Poland wasnt there tho
BUT IM NOT SURPRISED THERE IS NOTHING GOOD ABOUT RAFAL-

Ok at the beginning I didn’t like Germany’s song but oh my god jendrik who gave you the right to be that cute- like that wholesome little smile and excitement is ugghh so cute
Yeah, song is trash but jendrik is just one adorable little guy
I’m German and I couldn’t agree more
At least we tried something this year. And while it didn't pay off in the end it was still something different than all other German candidates the last years. I'm not a fan of the song but it's not something you would assume coming from Germany in general.
@@Blaps911 the song definitely grew on me, his attitude in the live performance honestly made me enjoy it. Definitely different, deserved more than 2 points
@@finny9946 that’s why it got 3 lol
I swear I didn't blink throughout Ukraine's performance. They had me entranced.
Your "Yass gurl slayy" iconic as every year
thank u so much💖💖💖
iceland was hardcore trolling the entire night, and i have so much love and respect for that.
also, jendrik being a wholesome icon, and us finnish people just coming up like "pUT YOUR MIDDLE FINGERS UP-"
yep, that's us-
The Netherlands really said, aight we'll put Davina Michelle as a separate performance just to show we can win it again but we won't
Honestly when Spain did the high notes I immediately bagen singing arcade... Then I realized it was a different song..

I was looking for this comment so desperately
anyone gonna mention Gjon's lighting giving him a shadow mullet in that close up shot? We were laughing because they kept using that shot throughout the show.
Yessss my watch party was cracking up too!
Me and my friends noticed that too 😂
I'm so glad other people saw that too 😂😂👌
What is that mean? LOL can someone explain it because im not that good in English
@@martap6913 there is a moment in the performance where the lights make a shadow behind Gjon that makes him look like he has a hair style from the 80s called a mullet.
jendrik jumping and being happy when ukraine get there points is cute af
He definitely just want chilling in backstage for free with everyone
best eurovision ever period. I loved the hosts, the songs, the staging everything
2021 was probably one of the best years in eurovision.. so, so many good songs and everyone so happy to be back after the pandemic last year.
just gjon’s whole performance was literally amazing, his angelic voice especially the high long note at the end of the song. also he had too much screen that i developed a crush on him, he’s adorable 😭
I saw on Instagram a clip of Gjon’s Jury performance and the high note at the end was changed slightly but it was even better than it was in the grand final.
Eurovision is BACK, and National languages winning both Jury and Televoting, and Rock winning the whole thing! UNFORGETTABLE ESC!!!! Love the vid!!!!
This year was one of the most iconic years ever
the best moment is when ethan had a spiritual awakening when it was announced italy won

Yeeesss
Honestly this years Esc was one of the best ones ever. The songs were honestly good and everyone just seemed genuinly happy to be there.
He doesn't deserve all the hate.
do u know how loud i SCREAMED WHEN THEY BROUGHT LORDI OMFG I LOST IT
I was twerking in Norwegian
I might have been bouncing up and down excitedly waiting for Lordi. Every mention of Lordi made me lose my mind. Beautiful bonus is listening to my father's tales about the organisation. You see my father works in the Rotterdamse goverment. That means he had to organize keeping the bridge free and tests with the lighting. My father kept getting mails from the people there like: "wtf is happening with the bridge?" He had to keep it secret the whole time. I didn't know what he was working on either. Yeah I know what he does but I didn't know that they were going to use the bridge as a light show.
YOU FORGOT GJON'S TEARS EATING A BUISCUIT IN FRONT OF THE CAMERAS LMAO
HAHHAHA YES OMG
Exactly
Oh yes
2021 was undoubtedly my favorite year, loved almost all entries. So many good songs! Especially after this years ESC with all its dramas this video just makes me sad and happy
I just loved how all 4 of the last places didn't give a single cat's arse about their 0 points. They were just like "Ok, and? I had fun, so screw you televotes"
I didn't like Jendrik's song but he seems like the coolest dude ever!
ikr he was so happy and grateful to just be there
He’s actually a musical singer and if what he said is true then it wasn’t actually his decision to sing this song but the German jury said he has to sing that song he actually has good songs
James and Jendrik's hug

I was full on "Yes gurl slay!" when Maneskin won, right until they showed Ethan's reaction, at which point it switched to "Awwwhhhhhhhh, he's so adorable!"
This year's Eurovision was so GOOD. I never really cared about it i honestly only watched it for Maneskin (Italy) but I was surprised cause everyone stepped up their game.
Apart from the uk 😂 we stepped down our game

I absolutely love how you simply highlighted the good aspects of every contestant, no shade, no hate, just pointing out the strength of everybody and their songs, no matter if you liked them or not! you're the kind of person of i wish i'd see more in this world, we need more kindness
Germany's and Italy's song are similar ideas being done differently XD

Italy's: Shut up about your opinion on other people

esc 2021 really set the bar high, i'm literally praying that this year's esc doesn't disappoint
FYI in Helena's song is not actually a human violin but a human "lyra". It's a traditional greek instrument.
That's what I told
I'm still mad about Albina not qualifying... THAT WAS INCREDIBLE
Indeed!! I'm mad and sad too
She only needed 6 more points to qualify :(
Albania had only 24 points from juries ( or 22 )
And Malta gave to us 12, I was shocked because nobody else voted us 😧🥲
Albina abused her pre-recorded backing vocals. If you pay attention, you can spot numerous moments where she's doing literal playback. If she sang the whole thing (and she could, as evidenced by her Dora performance), she would've qualified. I wanted her in the final too, because her show was great, but one can understand why she didn't qualify.
Who else read "Albania not qualifying" and thought "wait - they did"? 😂
what about san marino somehow getting a 12 points from a jury? Iceland actually making the ja ja ding dong meme real? Dadi putting pixel art of fans on the transparent LED?
edit: jesus fucking christ how tf did this get so much likes
TIX showing his tics. One of the most emotional parts for me
Iceland giving 12 points to jaja ding dong killed me xD
They've got 12 points from Poland bc this singer was performing in our government TV. It was all staged...
san marino got 12 points from Poland only because she's performed with Rafał Brzozowski (the one from Poland) in our tv show not a long time ago 😭
San Marino would have deserved more than just one 12 points

Is it just me or was 2021 one of the best years ever? I swear, I tried to remember which songs were in my top 10, and I ended up with like 30 of them...
natalia's smile was so amazing to see, it made me love her performance just because it showed she loved it, even if i didn't like the song

Love how there is every participating country included except for Poland 😂
And Portugal 😂

Nice
Estonia wasn’t there either
Manizha is just one of the best contestants from 2021! I love her!
This was honestly one of the best years I’ve seen as every performance had something memorable, iconic or was simply a really good song. Many of them went into my playlist, while I usually take only one or two, and the event was fun to watch from the beginning til the end. And I don’t even mention that sequence from the tele-voting results! I already start being a bit sad from the realization that next year probably won’t be as amazing as this one 😅
Coming back here after this year's Eurovision because 2022 could NEVER
