    Noticed the car has the sticky door button problem, I sorted mine out buy rubbing the buttons with a microfibre cloth, takes a little time to do but great results and no chemicals to damage the black finish. Thanks again for all your great videos.

    Can you do a vid on why you drive and love Volvo Vehicles? And just some quick advice, when new people on Volvoforums start threads about fixing you should just direct them here. It gets you more exposure. To be honest this channel should get way more views since the amount of questions on swedespeed, volvospeed etc are coming in all the time.

      Thanks for the kind words. I have been considering doing a rap video on why we love our Volvos. LOL I will do that, the why video. I usually post replies on the forums with links to the videos. My signature in the forums has a link to my RUclips channel as well, although it is not visible in the mobile sites.

    Hey Robert, does this same procedure apply to an 04' S80? Its been awhile since I've messed with any Volvos other than my 850s. I have a potential side job and the owner is claiming the seat settings aren't working properly. I seem to remember something funky with the key fob having to lock it and unlock it. Any info would be appreciated.

    • @RobertDIY
      @RobertDIY  5 лет назад +1

      Probably the same for most cars. I'd check the owners manual.

    My seat will not move forward, the rest of the buttons will work, you think if i replaced the controls it will fix my problem?

    • @RobertDIY
      @RobertDIY  10 лет назад +2

      Chances are high. Some of the Volvo buttons build up a carbon in them and stop working. Can you hear a contact being made? Motor clicking? If so, the motor may be jammed. If you hear no motor noise, I would suspect the switches.

      I dont hear the motor trying to do anything...ill grab a switch from the salvage yard and switch it out. thanks again

      E E Lutz Yes you can but you should check to see if the wire harness is there. If not, you will have to get a harness and maybe a relay. Not sure so use Google and check some forums.
