Hygge has been my whole foundation making a home for my family of seven. We lived in the Netherlands and their word is ; Gezellig. I've raised my family with simple concepts of creating a warm, welcoming home. Fresh flowers, candles, beautiful lamps, music and the aromas of home cooked meals and cakes. As I home schooled my five children for twelve years and didn't have a car in this time; home was everything. Filled with books by wonderful authors, spending time in Nature, caring for our family pets, entertaining other families, was our lifestyle. I just love simple pleasures. Aromatherapy is paramount. You don't need lots of money. As I've taught my children; a simple, home cooked meal with love, some flowers from the garden, candles burning and lovely music is all you need to create: Hygge. Thankyou Sandra for reminding us of how important it is to Stoke the home fires. To create and maintain a beautiful sanctuary, shelter from the storms of Life, a safe Harbour. We all can do this ❤️🙏❤️🌹🏵️🌷🥀🌻🌼🏡💐💞🌝🌸🌺🏵️💖🥀🌷💐💗
How wonderful it is that you were able to homeschool your children. I certainly wish when I was raising mine I had that opportunity. I know families that have homeschool children and they’re much more advanced than those that have gone through education away from home. Thank you so much for sharing what you have done while raising your children and your lifestyle. I found every single thing you said so interesting and I know that this community will enjoy reading your post as much as I have. Thank you ever so much for sharing it with all of us here. I hope you have a great day❤️
Sounds absolutely wonderful Cubby! The Netherlands is one place I truly hope to visit one day. I certainly hope your children realize how blessed they are to have a mother who knows what's important and who puts forth so much effort to make them such a wonderful home. You can adopt me any time you want. 😂😂😂 Seriously though, it sounds like such a lovely way to grow up. May God bless you and your family always!!
I have an old worn chair my husband loved. Although it doesn't smell like him anymore I get the feeling of being wrapped in his arms when I am there. I snuggle under a quilt my grandmother made for me with a carafe of hot chocolate and usually a book or movie that makes me cry and a fire in the fireplace, the flames dancing on the walls around me. It is truly as you described, a beautiful moment in time, a snapshot of happiness. This video made me think about how wonderful a moment can be. Thank you so much my dear friend 💖. I will think of you when the first snow hits us up here!😊
Rhiannon, what a beautiful post. Your words have painted a picture of a very wonderful happy place. I can actually see the flames shadows bouncing off the walls around you. So beautifully said and I know that everyone in our community will enjoy reading your comment today. Oh please do. I love snow in the cozy atmosphere that it brings.❤️
@@lifewithsandrahart sure was!! And thanks for all these tips! I’ve just moved and am having a bit of a time making it feel cozy and like home for me-I’m certain these tips will help!! Thanks again!!:)
Our sunroom has become my haven. Nature, candles, plants, cozy pillows, music. I'm not sure what my mental state would have been if I didn't have my sanctuary.
I am so very touched to think that I remind you of your grandmother. That is so kind and I hope I do bring back some wonderful memories for you. Thank you for sharing that with me❤️
I stimulate my senses for happiness. I listen to music, i diffuse essential oil, i eat tasty food, i let water and sunshine touch my skin, i greet the sun in the morning and watch sunset.
Nikki, I am so happy you discovered me and I thank you for leaving such a nice comment. I hope you have subscribed and will be a part of this wonderful community year. Thank you again and have a beautiful day❤️
My husband and I are senior citizens and enjoy plants, gardening, wild life, etc. A few years ago, we added a four season room on the back of our house. At the end of summer when we are cleaning up the yard, I bring the house plants in . I had a local carpenter build three low tables and set them along the windows and they are lined with plants. Right now the Cyclamen and Thanksgiving Cactus are in full bloom of beautiful pinks, reds and white. I didn’t put any curtains on the windows so that we have full view of the changing colors of the trees and watch the cardinals, doves, juncos and blue jays come to feed. My husband and I love to sit out there whether it’s sunny, raining or snowing. It’s so calming and nature is just beautiful. Thank you Sandra for your beautiful videos and charming personality.
I love horses. They are the best place just to sit and watch nature no matter what season of the year. How wonderful that you were able to do that. Enjoy!❤️
Dear Sandra, I'm so happy to hear the sound of your voice, to listen to your thoughts and look at your beautiful face 😊 Thank you for sharing your self with us. You're such a beautiful person ❤
My family has been using these concepts of a warm home/selfcare for over 50 years. We remove shoes at the door and go barefoot inside. I practice foot Reflexology daily. I have always loved nature as i was brought up on a farm. Like you, I collect pinecones, nuts, and other things I find on the ground to put in clear glass jars I use as vases. Salt lamps are wonderful for calming especially during these last few years. My schoolteacher daughter has found using one in her Kindergarten classroom helps the students stay calm. Another daughter is a Massage Therapist. Selfcare is not selfish. Many Thanks from Arkansas for sharing. I love your videos. I am praying for you and your sweet Arthur.
I would like to call you Beauty Queen. You really are! It is true, our home tells a lot who we are.Thank you for sharing your good taste, energy and so much love.Love from Russia
Yes, l love it, Sandra. I had created a space in my home just to meditate, pray, curl up and read...Last week, l redecorated. I spent a few hours putting mementos, candles etc. Then, l had such a rich time of prayer.🌻 I have been learning about Hygge from other creators. So drawn to the idea.💟 Thanks for your insights. 🌻❤🌻
Oh Sandra, thank you for making me feel more aware of my "being" here! My spirit is not here by mistake, God wants me to experience wonderful things here! You always keep me cognizant of that!
Sandra, thank you! This brought tears to my eyes. When in 2nd grade, my teacher (Ms. McKenny) required we memorize a poem - and “Trees” was my poem. I’ll be 70 on Thursday - what a beautiful birthday present for me. I took notes on the HYGGE ideas. Oh how I appreciate you❣️❣️
Nova, a great big wonderful and warm happy birthday to you. You are entering a new decade of wonderful living and adventures. I couldn’t be happier for you and I am hoping that your 70th year ahead will be the best one ever yet.❤️
My mother's second husband was Danish and she spent the majority of her life in Denmark. It became my second home and I became familiar with their way of life. What impressed me was the gentle thoughtfulness of the country. Whenever you see an attractive view across lakes or woods you will surely find a bench or carved out seat, because someone thought you may wish to spend time there to enjoy it. Tea lights and candles are a consistent feature of their homes, even to the point of lighting one at the breakfast table during winter. Also the way of finding a place for everything that provides an order without an overharsh minimalism. It has provided me with way to add atmosphere to your home surroundings.
One of my sisters took my Mom (who had dementia) for a walk. She went up to a tree, hugging it, she recited this poem. Before she couldn’t read anymore I had her read to me. As she read she would stop to tell me about things I never knew about which reading apparently brought to mind. What a wonderful surprise as she was at a point we couldn’t have conversations. Thank you for sharing!
And interesting fact about dementia or Alzheimer’s. Tony Bennett did a full concert with Lady Gaga and could remember everything and all the lines to his music. When he get off the stage within minutes he couldn’t even remember he did a concert. Same thing with Glenn Campbell when he was and heavy Alzheimer’s. Muscle memory. How wonderful that you had those conversations with your mother. You are very lucky to have had that time with her.
Welcome to what real life is ,I grew up in this way I don’t know any other way of life , until I went to the USA and listening to the TV and news took that away from me now I am back my life is back to normal,Hygge for sure i don’t have to think it just my normal every day like
Gail, thank you so much for sharing that your mother used to recite that poem to you when you were young. Memories like that always are wonderful. It’s one of my favorite poems, too.❤️
You are so much like my mother-in-law who was a home economics teacher. I learned so much from her. Coziness is 💕. Thank you for being here. You are so special 🙏🕊️🕊️🕊️
Theresa, I wish that they still head home economics in the schools today. It really was a great class for us, wasn’t it? Coziness can shut out all the troubles of the world in our homes. And it doesn’t cost much money to make it that way. Just a little touches here and there.❤️
I've been studying English as a second language for 2 years now, and my teacher told me that I had to look for a podcast to enhance my listening skills. While trying to find it, I came across this lady's podcast, and boom!! I said, "This is exactly what I need." The most beautiful pronunciation I've ever heard, the way she modulates every word. I do understand what she is conveying! Ohh my gosh... thank you for helping me with my English journey.
Hello Sandra! You brought me to tears with the reading of that wonderful poem. I have loved trees for as long as I can remember and that poem just touched my heart. Anything in nature is always my happy place. Thank you for being such an inspiration and a truly delightful soul. May God bless you always and in all ways!!! 🤗💖🤗💖🤗
This made my day, Sandra! I am in such a cozy home mood lately! I am enjoying Fall and trying not to push Christmas into this beautiful fall season that helps us slow down and learn to be at peace! God has created such lovely seasons that are so good to our human hearts and souls!!
yes a cozy home is so important away from the madness..in a ny city apt..so i have beautiful plants.always fresh flowers and ofcourse my aroma therp.candles , cozy throws, i am blessed with big windows and great sun light..
Phyllis you are so lucky to have light in your apartment. We also have one in Chelsea but very little light. The apartment is nice but I can’t stand the fact that it is so dark most of the time when we are there. ❤️
You are so right! The ambiance of a warm, cozy home and music contributes to a calm and peaceful state of mind. So nice to see you,as usual, and thanks for sharing.
Such a lovely explanation of hygge in a very stressful time. We forget to treat ourselves as "company". Make each day special for yourself and your family. Thank you.
I’m not sure I could ever live somewhere that didn’t have a change of seasons, I love the fall and the winter and I love that’s it’s a time for soups, stews and being cozy....I’m a huge candle person as well and after feeding my cat , plugging in the kettle its the thing I do every morning.........I love that my condo smells of fall and soon enough all my winter candles of pine, cedar and balsam........I’ve been buying Yankee candles for over 40 years and find them the best especially in the winter.........I find that so many people don’t embrace the winter and they should as it can be a magical time.............stay well stay safe..........Donna in Toronto
Donna, The four seasons would be the thing that I missed the most living in Florida. I totally agree with you. It sounds as though that you’ve made yourself a wonderful cozy haven and environment. Thank you ever so much for sharing your thoughts with us and your way of life in Toronto. Much love your way❤️
I AM ALSO CANDLE PERSON YANKEE CANDLES, I HAVE A CAT HER NAME'S HAPPY. SHE COME OUR THE DOOR SHE CHOOSE US, WE SAID WELCOME. CANDLES TEA WITH HAPPY OUR LIFE GOING WELL... WHAR EVER SITUATIONS WE ACCEPT . DARLINGS STAY SAFE AND HAPPY AL LOVE YOU 🙏🎶💖😇
I live about 25 miles from Joyce Kilmer Forest in Western North Carolona. We learned this poem in school many years ago.I do most everything she has suggested.I also invite Holy Spirit to fill my home with His love and glory.
Virginia, how wonderful that you were so close to the forest in North Carolina. I’ve always love that Poem and it is such a loss that he died very young. ❤️
Amalia, Best of luck to you starting life again. You are still young enough to have many Great days for filling happiness. Thank you so much for letting us know and for sharing.❤️
I agree with everything you said & I have always found pleasure in doing all these things. A cozy home is just my happy place. However, it’s been so difficult the last few months to get motivated to decorate or even to focus on reading a book. It’s like why bother when I’m the only one here to enjoy. Bad attitude I know, & that’s a little COVID depression. I’ve turned to RUclips for entertainment & now that’s getting old. I do enjoy your channel. I’m 79 & live in a condo in a nice senior community. Neighbors don’t seem to want to visit in your home, but do gather outside in a driveway to visit in small group & social distance. That is a blessing. Thanks for your wonderful suggestions. I’m ordering Himalayan salt lamp today. You know, I remember you & your husband saying in a video, that it was important to have something to look forward to and that is so true. Looking forward to its arrival. I have a beautiful family, but with school age & college grandchildren, I have to keep my distance. I have a blessed life, but lack of motivation is not good. Happy Thanksgiving.
Pat, you are not alone. I think all of us are so over Covid that it’s not even funny. I miss my children and grandchildren desperately. But you are important and your happiness is important so treat yourself to all the coziness that you can create in your home. You deserve it. Even though no one else is around you are deserving of uplifting environments. It’s nice that you live in a senior community where there is some type of outside socialization. That is very lucky for you. Hopefully, this too shall pass in the future. In the meantime a cozy home is your happy place and enjoy it.❤️
I love my house, and it would never bother me to stay home.we never have enough time it seems. Life is soooo busy. I love cooking. I love baking. I havea little 16 yr. old cat. She worries when we leave to go shopping. You know what i attribute that to. I makeher catfood. Thats great that you,re making his dog biscuits. I,m so glad you posted. I missed you.
Thank you Melinda. Sophie absolutely loves the dog biscuits that I made for her. I think she knows when they’re in the oven that she can recognize the smell of the treats she’s going to have when they’re done. We have been in lockdown here for almost 10 months and other than the fact that I can’t be with my family and perhaps visit the museum once in a while. I am content.❤️
New here. Just found your channel. I have always lived this way. My mom made a cizy happy home .I just turned 70 and have decided that hay it is what makes us happy. We don't all fit in psgs and our homes should reflect who we are.I dont have a fireplace( wish I did) but I do have and electric woodstove. Love it.and candles, throws and nature.love my books and as I learned from mom bright sunshine and fresh sir works wonders.so glad I found your channe
Ruth. welcome and I am so happy that you found me. You’re doing all the right things to make your home a cozy and a happy place. We are all different and have various needs, but it looks as though you are doing the right thing to create an environment of calm around you. Thank you so much for sharing your story today.❤️
I’ve been doing Hygge, and I guess I didn’t realize it. I love my candles, blanket, aromatherapy, and things from nature. It takes time to enjoy relaxing because sometimes I feel lazy. I always thought I should be doing something. Thank you for sharing. 💜Jeanette Turner PS My husband made vegetable soup last night.
Well Sandra, I’m relaxed just listening to your voice in explaining the concept! I do many of those things already, however, I could improve in the music department. Music speaks to the soul in a way that nothing else can.
Excellent video! We are both in our 80's and feel better than ever! We are all about healthy aging to prevent and reverse disease. The key is to retain a strong body, a calm mind, and a positive outlook. Getting older at any age does not have to mean getting sicker. We're doing research on sites like this to make our new Health-Aging Advice channel a success. We hope to inspire others and pass along a bit of wisdom. Learned a lot here. Thank you.
Thank you so much for watching today. Yes we are what we think. If we think young we will be young. Exercise, diet and a healthy mental attitude are all so important. At any age.!❤️
Thank you Sandra! Yes, sometimes we just worry about everything so we have to make ourselves comfortable especially with an attitude of gratitude. "Master of our own happiness"...I love that Sandra.
Beautifuil opening and I have always loved that poem. I hate to admit that I am always rushing to do nothing! I need to slow it down and learn to enjoy each moment. Hopefully, I can get there one day!
It takes time Sylvia,. Rushing and being a hurry as much ado about nothing sometimes a Shakespeare would say. Slow down and enjoy each moment. You’ll get there!❤️
Came across you channel by true accident…. I’m glad I did. I’m in my mid 50s but I truly love how simple living is so beautiful. It’s like a hug … a warm hug.
Another great topic. I read a book on this about 3 years ago. I definitely need to bring out my salt lamp again, and I have a diffuser or 3 or 4 :) but I got out of the habit of using them. I definitely love to cook and have our home quiet and stress free as much as I can. We definitely use a lot of fuzzy blankets. Often times our little Chihuahua figures out a way to use them all at the same time :) I got some small little lamps to put on the kitchen cabinets, and I always love when they are on but forget to do it. As much as I pay attention to lots of details, this video reminds me that I am forgetting many too. For the longest time I've really only liked to listen to music with no words. I love Steven Halpern and his music. He has one called Chakra Suite and my dog LOVES it! I often leave it playing for him when we leave. It's so relaxing and it almost instantly relaxes him into sleep. It's the cutest thing. I will say do you want to listen to your meditation CD and he will come running over and lay down.
Thank you so much for sharing how you feel about a cozy and peaceful home. I love the story about your dog and how much he loves to meditate. I absolutely think that is the sweetest thing ever. I’ll have to check out that music. Thank you so much for sharing again and I hope you have a wonderful week ahead❤️
I am new to your site. U r a very beautiful woman and I enjoy listening to u. I've been thru some bad things in the past 3 years (not as bad as u have) and I am trying to survive and to find some type of happiness once again. U have been very calming to me.
Oh, Sandra, thank you so much for sharing your cozy home with us... What a lovely video. We all need to remember to embrace life's simple pleasures. Stay well. Love & Hugs, Mary ♡♡♡
Thank you Sandra. You are a beautiful lady and an inspiration. I needed this video today. As a widow I am admitting that I am struggling with being alone. Stay safe and warm this winter. Very best wishes, Susan, England.
Susan I understand what you’re going through but please know that as long as you’re a part of this community you will never be alone. We all are here to be supportive of one another whether were married, single or widowed. Each and everyone of us which is the best for one another.❤️
Thank you Sandra...now that I’m 64, I’m trying to pay more attention to the things that bring calm and cozy..a sense of peace, into my life. Yes, it’s inside for me too, with my faith, prayer and all, but sometimes we need to physically do things that add that sense of calm and directly impact our senses...our body and our minds just call for it. Reminds me to get my diffuser going again. 🌞🌸
Nancy, do you get that diffuser going and I’m so happy you watched today. Really is important to bring those cozy and calm feelings into our home that gives us a safe haven and a place we love to be.❤️
Concetta, oh how I miss New Jersey and the beautiful drive along the Garden State Parkway with the brilliant colors. Thank you so much for sharing today.💕
Dear Sandra, you are such a blessing beauty to this community with your kindness, wisdom, love for life and all of us. Thank you so very much for being here. Best to you and Arthur😘❤️❤️Sophie 🙋🏼♀️.
Good morning Sandra, I love today’s message❤️ people need this today more than ever. Everything you mentioned has a high vibrational frequency. Like attracts like so one will be lifted up by creating an environment like this! I can’t wait to try your doggie treat recipe for my lovely little Cavalier King Charles🐶
@@gwenewing6837 Hi Gwen, Charlotte is nine months old and I’m looking to adopt another Cavaliere to our family. They are by far the sweetest dogs I’ve ever known. You’re so fortunate to be retired and I’m sure your babies are loving it! I belong to, “United Cavalier King Charles and their people” come join us it’s a great group🥰
Oh I love the Cavalier King Charles dogs. I have a friend who has one and he is the sweetest thing ever. I hope he likes the cookies as much as our Sophie does.❤️
That’s my favorite poem since I was in elementary school. I absolutely am in awe of babies, animals, trees, butterflies. I am always awakened as if I’m seeing it for the first time. All of these are my life’s lessons, blessings, inspirations, motivations and I could not live without these many reasons they are implemented into my path with a purpose to reach me spiritually with much appreciation for them and reciprocation.
Nancy, thank you so much for your beautiful post. Nature around us is such a blessing and we are so fortunate to live in a country where we have plenty of nature around us. I am happiest when I am surrounded with nature, too.
So true Sandra. During these times we need to stop and look inward to learn from our past and move forward in a positive way. See what is around us, beauty, nature and knowledge to enhance our life. Thank you so much for sharing this information. ❤️
My friends have mentioned in other terms and your video and comments have clarified it so well for me. No need to find an apartment w/a fireplace. I can create my own hygge wherever I am! Thank you so much. I hope you & Sophie are well!
Hello dear Sandra! What a lovely video! Especially for this time!!! I thank you, for the gift of your time, energy, and lovely thoughts you share with us. I really cherish all of it!!! So many great ideas to make our own world (our home, and our being) a place of peace and calm! Thank you!!! Love to you, Arthur, and Sophie! XO
I’m thankful I met you Ms. Sandra ,your exceptional amazing, I agree with you in your concepts, love Music gives me calm specially soft music...I find it so relaxing and brings me back so many memories of my childhood,it’s amazing Ms. Sandra wishing you good health always.❤️🙏
Love, loved, loved your topic of HYGGE. I purchased several years ago several hygge books some of which included recipes to enjoy. Hygge is wonderful to experience and we have a room where it is especially enjoyable. I want to tell you that your hair is fabulous....I don't know what you have done but your look years younger....you look so youthful anyway. I always enjoy your topics. Thank you so much.
I love the Hygge Way of life. I love cozy environments good music and a soft atmosphere around me. Even in this tropical climate I like to have a surrounding of nature and a peaceful environment. Thank you so much regarding my hair. Because of Covid I have not been able to get it cut so I’ve had to trim it myself. Maybe it’s working! Thank you so much for your kind compliments and you know that I always enjoy hearing from you. I hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead.❤️
Sofi is such a doll, Sandra! A Himalayan salt lamp is on 24/7/365 between our living room & dining room. I burn candles infrequently because my husband has *too good* a sniffer & I can smell very few things. Touches of the outdoors do surround us & I especially love mixing textures. I do what I can & do often make soups. Blessings! Jackie in upstate NY
What an amazing lady you are. I always enjoy your videos...I like this hygge concept.....Our home is our sanCtuary and we must keep it magical.....This is something we need to do especially at this times when we are going through so much with pandemic and all...............you always have the best subjects to talk about...I am growing my paper whites..., amaryllis and christmas cactus for the holidays,,,and I took branches from our magnolia tree that has buds and put them in water so they can bloom for me.....blessings..............ILY....................MINDY
Oh I forgot all about paper whites Mandy. I am going to get me a pot or two of those. I love them at Christmas. I’m also going to get poinsettias when they are in the market. Anything I can do to make my home cheerful and cozy. You know I’m always so happy to hear from you and I consider you a good friend even though we are miles apart. please have a wonderful week Mindy.❤️
So happy to subscribe to your channel, I visited Denmark many years ago, look forward to seeing more of your videos, I'm 61 and find so many changes happening in my life, thank you 💮
Carol, I would like to welcome you and thank you very much for subscribing. We have such a wonderful community of caring woman here that I know you will enjoy reading their comments.Hygge is a calming and wonderful concept that make for a cozy home no matter what one’s decor is. Over 60 can be the beginning of a life of freedom for you. Change can be good if we look at it with a positive eye.. ❤️
Sandra, I just found you and I enjoyed the video. It's nice to see someone close to my age instead of "babies" all the time. Well, with some exceptions. You made me feel calm.
I am so happy that you found me too and that you enjoyed this video. This certainly is a very cozy way to surround yourself with wonderful things that do help you feel calm and happy. I hope I will see you again and hear from you often❤️
How beautiful those trees and the seasons turning, no wander they call it fall. Autumn talks off many things, fall is the best description. Lovely to see this video
Thankyou for that Sandra. Hope you are doing well. It’s always lovely to spend some time with you, even though one is light years apart! Here’s to a cosy, comfortable winter!
Beautiful Sandra thank you so very much, in the chaos of downsizing and getting ready for the movers I so enjoyed and needed your wise and calm words and on Hygge of all things perfect timing, big hugs and stay well my friend.💕 Blessings from TN 😊
Latresa. I have been thinking of you and wondering how you are doing. Hang in there and you should be settled by Thanksgiving. Not that we can ever have any big gatherings, but it’ll be nice to be in your new home for the holidays.❤️
@@lifewithsandrahart Sweet Sandra, I appreciate your reply and thoughtfulness and as we move out with the movers we will come back to organize the rest in main and guesthouse to sell, give away, get the property ready for sale. Even though I know you are missing your family here’s to a healthy Happy Thanksgiving with blessings from Franklin/Nashville. 💕💐
These days we need to make our home as comfortable as possible. I love your soothing, meaningful words.Lanterns by the fireplace. I use a remote control to turn them off and on. Flowers weekly by way of Instacart. A great and uplifting video!🌹🌹
Thea, oh I love fireplaces and lanterns. That is so cozy and welcoming. Thanks for the suggestion of Instacart and flowers. I never even thought of that. Great idea. Thank you for sharing it with all of us.❤️
I made the mistake of taking a late nap way too close to bedtime last night, so woke up way too early... but, watching the tv at 3 or 4 in the morning, some news commentator mentioned"hygge"; I had never heard the term before, but here I am now just watching your video. Thank you very much for sharing. I had already started to make things cosier at home, as I think we'll be in this pandemic for still a large part of 2021.
Isn’t that so interesting. I’m sorry you couldn’t sleep but you discovered my video because of it. I think our homes are becoming more important to us now that we’re spending more time there. I agree. So happy you joined me today.❤️
Sandra, I love that poem; my mom read it to me when I was little. I've never forgotten it, and it reminds me of her. I love all things cozy, and, though I don't love NY, I love the autumn season and foliage. Candles are one of my favorite things...also, cozy, soft blankets and soft lighting. I'm going to try and get one of the Himalayan salt lamps. Another wonderful video, and, you look stunning! Stay safe and well, both of you and Sofi, too. Thank you; may your holidays be blessed! Rosemarie 💖
Good evening Rosemarie. Thank you so much for being here. I just love getting cozy in my home. Especially now that we’re locked down most of the time my environment really is so important to me. You do all the right things to make your home a cozy and Hygge place I think so many of us were practicing that way way of life without even realizing it.❤️
I just recently found your channel and your presentations are done so well from the opening to your advice feature. Relaxing, warm and helpful advice. What a wonderful difference between your channel and those that are so loud, hyper and chaotic.
Thank you for introducing me to the Hygge lifestyle! I was not familiar with this and took too the suggestions you have given us immediately. I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this very special video. ❤️

How well written and lovely.

This poem is a song too. A Tree..Sung by Mario Lanza. It was one of my father's songs he used to sing and listen to. Thanks for the memory!
Our sunroom has become my haven. Nature, candles, plants, cozy pillows, music. I'm not sure what my mental state would have been if I didn't have my sanctuary.
Hattie, I can just picture your cozy sunroom. It sounds truly like a sanctuary that we all would like to visit. Thank you for sharing that with us.❤️
Which type of plants survive in a sunroom? Mine has a glass roof which makes it warmer. Thanks in advance 🌹
Although I’m much younger, I feel like my grandmother is speaking to me. She was the most elegant, wise, and lovely lady. You remind me of her. ❤️🙏🏻
I am so very touched to think that I remind you of your grandmother. That is so kind and I hope I do bring back some wonderful memories for you. Thank you for sharing that with me❤️

I don’t know why but her presence is so calming.
Thank you so very much for being here today. I appreciate your kindness❤️
Thank you for sharing,Sandra.Beautiful video!
I stimulate my senses for happiness. I listen to music, i diffuse essential oil, i eat tasty food, i let water and sunshine touch my skin, i greet the sun in the morning and watch sunset.
All the right things for sure!❤️
Lovely. Sounds like as my mom. My parents were herdsman in Mongolia. Mom greets for sun every morning. I remember as s little girl.
Yes! Music, sunshine, rainy days, tasty food, long bath, cosy bed and good movie...😉🙋
Just discovered this woman today! How grateful am I? Infinitely grateful ❤️

SO I AM ❤
Enjoy!❤️
Yes.. a soup in the crockpot, a soft blanket.. good book.. cup of tea and Vivaldi or Bach... bliss!!
Susan, that is a great recipe for happiness in a cozy home❤️

What a wonderful lifestyle Peggy. Thank you so much for sharing what your family has been doing for over 50 years.

Yes, l love it, Sandra. I had created a space in my home just to meditate, pray, curl up and read...Last week, l redecorated. I spent a few hours putting mementos, candles etc. Then, l had such a rich time of prayer.🌻
I have been learning about Hygge from other creators. So drawn to the idea.💟 Thanks for your insights. 🌻❤🌻
I have been redoing my home to by adding a few touches here and there to make it more cozy. It’s a way of life that is so calming and peaceful.❤️
Oh Sandra, thank you for making me feel more aware of my "being" here! My spirit is not here by mistake, God wants me to experience wonderful things here! You always keep me cognizant of that!
You are absolutely right. You are here for a reason. We all are.❤️
Absolutely ❤!!
As much as I hate this dark time ( I know we all do) it's good to see people enjoying being home and the simpler things in life.
That is why our homes have become more important to us than ever. And actually that’s not a bad thing.❤️
Oh how I appreciate you❣️❣️
Happy birthday 🎁
Nova, a great big wonderful and warm happy birthday to you. You are entering a new decade of wonderful living and adventures. I couldn’t be happier for you and I am hoping that your 70th year ahead will be the best one ever yet.❤️

This is what I need... how to be happy.... I have been afraid that I was doomed to be unhappy my whole life long
No. We are what we feel and what we think. If you find one brave of happiness each day it will grow.❤️
You are a breath of fresh air. Bless you Sandra 🙂❤️
So much Andrea❤️
I'm Danish , 3rd generation in America and I really enjoyed it. God Bless.
Rosetta, The Danish really know how to enjoy life and simple pleasures that make like better❤️
What a remarkable person we can all learn soo much from this beautiful soul 🧚🏿♀️🧚🏿♀️🧚🏿♀️
Koulla, thank you for such a very kind comment.❤️
I live in a tiny apartment, but realize I need to get some kind of green plant to make my living space more comfortable.
More comfortable and HEALTHY !
Do it! I had over 40 plants of all type and sizes (including a 6'3'' bird of paradise!) when I was in my small studio and never regretted it!
Snake plants are good and they are hard to kill...just follow the directions
I have not heard of this way of living. How wonderful!
I’m so happy you enjoyed this Susan.❤️

I havea little 16 yr. old cat.

Hello Marlins. I am so delighted that you found my channel. I hope you will subscribe and stay around to enjoy our various conversations every week.❤️

Sandra, I just found you and I enjoyed the video. It's nice to see someone close to my age instead of "babies" all the time. Well, with some exceptions. You made me feel calm.

Thankyou for that Sandra. Hope you are doing well. It’s always lovely to spend some time with you, even though one is light years apart! Here’s to a cosy, comfortable winter!
Beautiful Sandra thank you so very much, in the chaos of downsizing and getting ready for the movers
I so enjoyed and needed your wise and calm words and on Hygge of all things perfect timing, big hugs and stay well my friend.💕 Blessings from TN 😊
I Adore trees 🌲 I am surrounded with trees 🌲 here in the Mountains 🏔 of New Hampshire I am truly grateful and blessed to live in a very rural area

Thank you so very much.❤️
These days we need to make our home as comfortable as possible.
