Africa does not develop based on hatred but on issues and economic measures that favor the respective people.
Africa does not develop and will not develop as long as hatred is the driving force of supposed "development".
It's strange that Africans hate the very person they always ask for help, particularly food, when Africa has good soil and climate for agriculture and livestock, among other riches.
Put hatred aside and WORK, so that Africa can develop.

@@Ollies2CentsWardill So, Namibia should be a free for all and just let everyone in and accept that they'll be stuck with a crappy passport that can't go anywhere? Also, eVisas don't stop people from visiting countries. It's a simple online application and pay on arrival. Namibia also recently introduced digital nomad visas, which actually make it easier for more people to live, work and invest in the country.

As a Brit living in Germany I can only say "that's fair", it doesn't matter which country you come from if another country expects you to apply for a visa to visit that country then visiters from that country should have to have a visa to visit your's.
This s not a racial but common sense for equality amongst countries.

    • @Ollies2CentsWardill
      @Ollies2CentsWardill 7 месяцев назад +3

Fair has got nothing to do with it. It is entirely up to any nation to decide whether or not it is to their advantage to attract visitors from another nation and to demand reciprocation is absurd.

@@Ollies2CentsWardill Visas I find are not the nr one things on peoples lists when travelling to other countries as with many it is possible to obtatain one at the border/airport/ Port. Others being applied for in advance.
What you must think of in advance tho' is your health ie have all the relevant inoculations at the right time in advance.
There are other things also to consider, especially travelling by road and thats whether a Temporary Import Permit or Carnet de Passage is reqired for your vehicle, these can be far more costly than a Visa, hundreds of £/€/$. (Refundable when leaving the counntry again)
People will tho' still visit a country whether a visa is required or not.

As a Tour Operator and company that carries THOUSANDS of inbound tourists from Europe to Namibia this is an extremely short sited decision. It will deter potential foreign tourists from traveling to Namibia. Less foreign revenue means less bed nights in hotels, B@B establishments, restaurants etc. Namibia relies on foreign tourists. They are killing the goose that lays the golden egg!!!

No, they don't. They just apply for a tourist visa, like we all have to do....at the same high visa costs they apply to most African countries. Offer your clients a visa service....

About time or Right on time? Who knows for sure. But, lets hope like "wild-fire", these perspectives and ideas continue to grow and proliferate throughout the land and subsequently, its Leaders. Month over month. Year over year. "CHANGE" itself has no controller. But. We must continue to be in the drivers seat and the director of where we'd like to arrive. This, is the Correct and "RIGHT" direction. No matter the difficulty. No matter.

As a proud African, Pan-Africanist and nationalist, I don't do symbolic victory. Africans and Black people in general seems to be content with symbolic victory. This is not good enough. And Chinese presence in Africa should be curtailed. I've been saying this for decades. Of only you knew those people's plans in Africa!

I totally endorse this decision; all African (simply _all_ nations) should be doing this. _Pay if you wanna visit!_ At the same time I remain *dead set against **_illegal_** immigration* from anywhere to anywhere (which is why the visa deterrant is in force in many Western nations). By the way, I'm an EU citizen, but I wasn't born in Europe; I moved here 33 years ago, and had lived in the US for 5 years before, all perfectly 100% legally, always. We canìt demand that others change their laws, but we can change ours. So all my support for this milestone decision of Namibia's.

Fair is fair no issiue with VIsa entry as thats a normal requirement when moving to another continent long or short time, but seriously there sre thousands of Africans entering every country , every single day with not even a passport and demanding host country looks after them. Ruining every place they go to,upsetting everyone ,mainly those who migrated the legal way and those trying ,because no beds left snywhere now ,not even for tourists, who are cancelling anyway,as they want to experience cuture of country travelling to, not feeling like in Africa..

The moment Africa's resources start serving every African then illegal immigration will be a thing of the past. We need to do it Traore's way, take back control of our resources from those leeches and start serving our people. than everybody stays in their contry. An immigrant wether legal or illegal both are seeking a better life.

There are Afrikan countries that have taken it upon themselves to expel all Globalist and neocolonial entities, with the removal of their neocolonial policies that ua eworked to their detriment and helped to keep them broke under developed and defenseless.
As more follow suit, there will be more opportunities ities for the citizens and less of them will be trekking across the Sahara to come to your cou try, seeking the opportunity that the west, Globalists and neoconial entities have long sought to deny.

As a European, I can understand this 100%. Namibia is right to make a stand if their own citizens cannot travel freely. I have friends in Tunisia, and while we can go there freely with just a passpot, they cannot easily come and visit us in France without paying a fortune in fees, and trips to Tunis to waste weeks of administration. The dice are loaded, the table is tilted. It’s an unfair system, always weighted in favour of the powerful regions of the world. Africans deserve better than this, and let’s hope other countries follow suit.

Stop being such sweethearts to everyone. Not everyone is deserving of your sweet kindness. There’s a time when you must stand up for yourself.
Africa should not and will not tolerate disrespect of our persons or our country in anyone else’s land. It’s time to show the world that we mean business. Let these governments know and understand that when they see black people and black dignitaries that they must be treated with the utmost of care and dignity. Or, they can never ever visit us in Africa, again.
