I’ve done that one a number of times. Our club sponsors it. Not for wimps or sissies, both mechanical and human. Group travel mandatory and no yahoos or heroes need come along.
Looked like a blast and that was a very close call on the 100. I know it always looks more tame on camera than real life. Noticed you removed your flares on the 80.
@@ozarkoverlandoutfitters9218 honestly just started watching, Didn't know you had one. My instant tent and a thick camp pad work great, and alot cheaper. But, yeah all this off camber stuff, and tons of weight on the roof equals tippy!
Oh I love them, Im also definitely using your advice to direct where my build is going, I really like the video where you put pizza cutters on your 80 and explained the pros of a tall skinny tire, and also the fact that I dont need a huge tire to go places. you explained things so well, you also sold me on arb bumpers, which I have on my 4runner now (looks great btw)
Thanks for providing such an in depth video up this crazy road! I am thinking of attempting to drive up this road to the lake this summer in my 1999 4Runner. It has 32 inch KO2’s (235/85/R16, it’s a skinnier tire but I’ve found they give me better traction), a OME 3 inch lift, and factory E locker. I just wanted to get your honest opinion on how far I’d make it up this road. I know your running bigger tires on your cruisers, but do you think with this set up I’d have any possibility of getting to the lake? Obviously a lot of it depends on line choice and the driver.
I just attempted this in an 03 4Runner with 32” tires, sliders, winch, and 2.5” lift. I made it to the other side of the stream then got hung and turned around at about 10,000’. 100% worth it
“Have I ever told you I hate washboard?”
Great video. You made my decision for this weekend easy. I'll skip como and just do Madano pass. Wish my rig could handle this.

Pucker factor was really high on that one! I would have shit myself as that 100 was tipping like that.
Yeah- did this on my TJ on 35's las summer and I still thought it was difficult. NO WAY would I want a roof top tent on that trail!

It was 10 times worse in real lifen
More and more I am being talked out of a rtt because of all that weight on the roof. Just to top heavy!
@@nathanrotar5012 you notice I no longer have one on mine

@@nathanrotar5012 thanks for watching. I like a mixture of hard 4 wheel driving and overland adventure
Good driving skills. When briefly stuck always rotate the tires left or right to fool the vehicle that you're not going uphill.
Love the recent vids you are putting out. Some of these areas are so desolate and awesome!!
Thanks
Looks like an excellent time
I am definitely not gonna make it as far as i hoped up the mountain with my truck next month 😂 definitely gonna be hiking in farther haha!!
amazing footage brother! I love to watch this while Im building my 96 4runner
I love 3rd gens

It can totally be done but take your time choose good lines and be prepared to winch
