  • The magic of flatland paragliding is hard to comprehend until you experience it. Flowing with the invisible chaos while chasing clouds and dust devils. This particular day was extremely special and I hope this video can show you some of the "epic-ness" that day gave us. ***There maybe even a lesson or two hidden in there.
I flew very efficiently all day until around 6pm. I made a huge tactical mistake and left the main plateau to cross into the Spokane Indian Reservation (I was following the prominent wind direction after a super tall climb) ...In hind sight I basically flew out of an incredible convergence that would have given me another 1.5 - 2 hours of flying. The Leavenworth site record was in my grasp that day, but I blew it ;) Still one of the most memorable days of the season and logged 212km.
*Isaac Levinson was flying with me that day, he got slowed down mid day around Banks Lake. However, he literally flew over 2 hours longer and 10 miles further than I did to make 230km...But the lesson was in seeing how long he stayed in the air. It showed me there is much more time on the table for this zone! As always so much to learn in this sport!
