Ha, funny finding this video, I swear I must have seen you flying around last summer when I looked over at the Bridgers. I remember thinking it looked fun up there.
Awesome! I too grew up on the west side of the Bridger range north of Bozeman. A few decades prior to your time there, most likely. 1981 BSHS and 1985 MSU grad. Loved seeing the mountains where I spent many days hiking from viewpoint that I’ve never enjoyed before! Warmed my ❤! Thank you!! ~ Ken Townsend
Born in Bozeman in 89' - & BHS class of 2007. What a wild place Bozeman has become...happy that I can still enjoy the peace of Montana from the Sky! No traffic or lift lines up in the clouds! ;)
On any flight I really want to focus on, I used both. I've had varios die many times...and they are both set up quite different for climb, sink, average, and sensitivity. If it's just any old flight I just use the XC tracer.
Heck ya buddy. August was great in the Bozone. Got the Bridgers done (in both directions) for the first time this year! And I can say with 46 Baldy flights under my belt, it is the way to get it done!
Ha! Saw your date at the end. Sure enough I was up. Was working so hiked 3/4 on my lunch break, flew for 68 minutes! What an awesome day. Hard to go land and get back to work. Spirals and SATs to land at the car.
46 Baldy flights is an amazing effort on your part!!!! I am looking forward to being back in August this summer to try some new lines again. No good days for beartooths all last summer :( (This day I really want to extend a triangle point toward Wilsall, but the day blew up on the east side of the range. We will have to chase that fai soon)
Hey Evan. Fantastic video! I was born and raised here looking at, and skiing, the Bridges my whole life. A goal of mine is to sore the Bridgers. Watching that video was awesome. I had a major setback but I'll get there.
I also fly Paragliders and powered aircraft in the US. As far as I know, there is no legal (FAA approved) way to equip a paraglider with ADS-B even if you wanted to.
I went to high school with your brother Nate. He helped me learn how to flip a kayak in hs to pass PE class haha. Awesome video and keep up the great content. Very impressed!

Are you required to have a transponder for this?

I do paramotors in the Billings area. There are some amazing launcha areas around Billings as well. If you ever get a chance you should check it out.
That's it, I want to move to montana ha
