The best damn band there ever was. I don't care if it's The Allman Brothers Band 1.0, 2.0, 3.0. versions, they were the only band I can think of that played as tight as the Stones. You don't just get up on stage and sound like this. This comes from eons of practice, and a meshing of talent that cannot be reproduced. When this band got on stage, they came to perform!
God bless the memory of Dickey Betts!
😊💜☮️🎼🎸🙏🌈
"People down in Georgia come from near and far to hear Richard Betts pickin on that red guitar"..CD
Gather 'round children... ;-)
People in NJ and NY TOO! Miss him already
In memory of Forrest Richard Betts. No matter what decade it was or which guitar he was wielding at the time, he always sounded unmistakably like himself.
The really great bands have a particular sound and vibe all their own. No matter how hard another band tries to duplicate or copy the sound it can't be done successfully. The Allman Brothers are one of those bands. The authenticity is the real deal, the genuine article.
Some kick ass rock and roll. Never be another band like this ❤️
A classic. Rest in peace Gregg Allman. Cheers!
That right there is some bad ass Southern Rock n Roll at it's BEST.
Great stuff, but this is blues, not Southern Rock n Roll (actually an old blues song).
@@gregcable3250 Yes, I agree it's an old song yet this version of the song is definitely Southern Rock. The ABB, definitely had their own sound. They did the Blues and Southern Rock, I didn't ever try to put them in a category box. Rest in Peace Dickey Watts. ✌️❤️🌼🌠
Being blessed to see the Brothers Live over 40 times and all the hundreds of other shows they are simply THE BEST!
The best Southern Rock Band ever!
Best American band ever
I have to say that this is one of the greatest live versions of this song ever performed. Dickie Betts and Warren Haynes were on FIRE that night. When I heard about Gregg Allman passing, this was the first song I played in his memory. To this day, 28 years after I first saw this on TV, it still gives me chills.
So you did a few shots in memory of a guy who's life and health was literally ruined by alcohol? WTF is wrong with you?
. Please, who took 3 shots in whose memory? The person said nothing about 3 shots just he put on "One way Out" in memory of Gregg.
@@nonmember8725 Huh
Saw this performance in Cleveland! FANNNNTASTIC! RIP, Dickie Betts.
Allen woody was such a good bassist who understood their sound
Legend....all of them....
RIP Skydog. You started it. ✌️
A school bud took me to see the Brothers 1981 at Miami Jai Lai, which became my favorite group, the first of six shows I saw. Met Gregg a couple of years later in the Sunrise Musical Theater. Through all the dope in those days, it was so great to see Gregg get it all together and healthy the last decade I followed him. LEGEND for half a century.
Can never get enough of these guys. So much talent on that stage!
Wow.....first time I have ever seen Dickey "Sweet Tone" Betts use a 335! His tone is unmistakeable though! One of the greatest guitarists ever. Mr Haynes is also impressive on slide. What a band!!
Nothing better than hearing this
Gregg pounding them KEYS!!! yeah
Damn Dickey really goin at it
These guys got me through university and the difficulties growing up before that 🎸
R.I.P. Both of You ❤😞
All of you rest maybe.
Great jams
Simply the best!❤
Classic is all your can say
Never got to see the OG ABB lineup. I saw them at least half a dozen times during the Betts-Haynes era. Amazing shows, all of them! RIP Dickey!
Stand Back. Too good.
Wow, I just saw my new favorite version
pretty obviously their most enduring song.
the best
Gregg vocals . WOW !!!
My favorite band ever love you guys might be your man I don't know
Don't see much video of Dickey without the signature hat or 'stache
Peter Morgan • or without the Les Paul.
Dickey is a monster!!!
The greatest!!!
There’s not a guitar duo today from these newer acts that even comes within the same universe like Dickey and Warren! Dickey just smoked that!!!!!
but in the old days........Peter Green and Danny Kirwan (proper fleetwood mac)....had the exact same synchronicity.....a balance so devine...same as these bringers of joyous harmonius guitar blues........like u say nothing like these boys anymore .....................x
But the best of all Duane and Dickey
Or dicky and duane . They were the best . Allen Collins, Ed, king ,Steve gains and Gary rossington has my respect as well but duane and dicky . Nuff said .
You mean Duane and Dickey.
@@TheBill79 not as good . 😋
Great Band, Great Guitarist....Cheers to Dickie Betts.....🍻🎸🇺🇸
Amazing
Don't get no better than this......Rob Crosby
One of the greatest bands ever
I am from ga and love their music❤🎉😊
Oh my.
Look at that shot @1:16 of Brother Gregg, looks just like when he was a kid playing at Fillmore East.
What took so damn long , should have been in there long before , but it wasn't completed until in the 90s was it
Oh Dickey! ❤️
What a killer guitar player!❤
My fav AB song
Fantastic
Duane and Dickey # 1.
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, please play also Little Feat!
Not like any band ever. Each one so integral to the whole experience. It oozes out of them.
Rereading One Way Out their oral history, the Enlightened Rogues lineup bassist Rook Goldflies said certain nights, the four originals left could get, "in a zone" during a song - the communication & combined drive just on whole nother - higher - level. He said he's never seen/witnessed anything like it before or since. First time ever watching this YT, this for sure seems an example.
@@gottadomor7438 this is a book about ABB?
@@gottadomor7438 just ordered it!! Thx
Dickey is bad ass one of the best
Good Night Ya'll, loved ya! See you at judgement, Stand, the rest of you, Jesus is the only hope you have!
❤❤❤saw when 15 ar gym at was Albany jr college was thrilling too sat front row n center on the floor later saw again at georgia jam atlanta!!
Great version. Anybody know where i can buy the whole concert so I can avoid RUclips interrupting the song with their commercials?
Holy moly cannoli!!!!!
Rest in peace Dickey
I was there
A real Jammin' Showpiece...lots of tricky timing.
very sad that betts and allman parted ways- but 'ya know, musicians get sick of each other after being together for so long.
Mick and keef for sure
Read Greggs autobiography and see why they parted ways . Betts quit. .
All the kids where still at the Betts ranch. Just one big family
well, apparently Betts was using a lot of drugs and had become a total SOB that the rest of them could not stand@@michaelp.2842
😍😍
Man I cant believe this doesn't have many views but oh well I've seen now so that's gonna get a many as I will post to the book everyday lmao . Probably close to one if the last Dicky Betts shows on here and brother you where most definitely missed during the years after and I'm not saying anything bad on Derrick Trucks cause he picked up where Duane left on slide anyway , bleed the few that are left !!!
This is from 1995 and Betts was with the ABB until 1999, about four years later.
That little three note fill by Warren at 5:59 is akin to “play one Steve” Cropper on Soul Man. A good guitarist doesn’t need a lot of notes
02:30 Woodstock Not Dead!!
Man could he play....rip dickey
I have a feeling this song is gonna be popular in 2022.
"I'd rather die taking these badtards down, than die giving them what they want. One way out!"
My neighbors listen to this loud
Are you joking RUclips? an ad in the middle of this song???
Thank you Dicky for all the notes. God bless and RIP
I don't think this was the induction date...they are way too young in this particular video...Gregg is too thin and healthy here...Dickey's hair is way too short...just curious...
Dixie truck. Trucks. Alkman bros datrona beach tks you
Only time I’ve seen Dickey clean shaven with somewhat of a haircut.
日本流に言えば匠の職人!
I wore the prettiest blue satin dress to the concert .
Why's the volume such a piece of crap? I've got it maxed and I can _barely_ hear them. Step it up RRHOF.
Needs volume
Old technology David . But I agree with you . Can't get LOUD enough . ✌🍺
That cameraman lmao
Battery right
And never will. The South’s gonna have to do it again though because the power of music comes from God himself and the South itself is still God’s country 🦅🇺🇸
Warren Haynes learned from the best.
Oh yeah. 😁🍺👍🇺🇸
Good cover version!
Here is one original by Sonny Boy Williamson II (vocals, harmonica) and Buddy Guy on guitar.

Here is a second original version, recorded just before Williamson's by Elmore James:

Dude at 1:41 with his arms crossed. Like he is not impressed and can do better 😅
Dickie was way better than others, shame they kicked him .
They had to. Him & Allman hated each other by that point & Allman turned most of the band against him bc Dickie relapsed. Whats funny/ironic is Dickie is the one with the reputation for being the insufferable *sshole but from all the autobiographies & books I’ve read it was the opposite. Dickie was the one that befriended the other musicians/bands of the day even back when Duane was still alive. For whatever reason Gregg was usually jealous of the other bands & treated them poorly.
@@LudiCrust. it was wrong what they did .
I'm called the greatest guitarist and I'm not the best one in my band......Duane Allman on that guy on the left, Dickie Betts. Warren Haynes on slide no slouch.
No really a good song; over bloated band.
I can easily get too much of these guyes
A much worse band is Little Feat
Phooey
What Universe you Frickin living in ?
@@oppothumbs1 dont hate on Little Feat. George Lowell was a genius.
