- Using herbs for good health is wonderful and combining herbs together into a formula can make remedies even more beneficial. Here I show you how to make a digestive formula which can be of help to everyone as we approach the festive season. Try out the Dusting Powder as well - it can make a great gift for someone as well as being a luxury to use after the bath.

Thanks for watching!! Have a great week!
I made a cough remedy by infusing some local honey with ivy leaf, lemon, elderberries, thyme, and mint, and I had some mullen tincture. I also put in a tincture of marshmallow root. I put that all in a big honey that I saved. Works on my kids, and I gave some to my grandmother. My aunt was giving me a hard time about giving it to her, telling me I didn't know what I was doing, I shouldn't be playing doctor, and so on. My grandma used it because she felt a little under the weather, and she was feeling much better within three days. Well, my aunt caught something from the school where she works, and I got a call from her the other day wondering if I had any more of my infused honey. I sent her out a little bottle of it.
That sounds incredible! Delighted that your aunt has seen the light! xx
How long did you infuse it for please? It sounds lovely.
That sounds amazing!
I love how your dogs are watching you just in case there’s a treat dropped for them. I have 4 dogs watching me every time I’m in the kitchen. Thank you for the herbal course! Today I’m making face cream for the ladies at work of a certain age who’re all complaining of dry skin in the colder months.
Good for you - how kind. So satisfying to give gifts like this. xx
Love seeing Brock and Jaz . They were hanging on your every word. Blessings to all ❤
Blessings to you too Pamela - dogs say hi too😂
Very timely, very healthy! Thank you again for the herbal wisdom you impart to us, along with sharing your personal warmth and home with all of us -- ever so grateful. Blessings galore to you and your family.
Thanks Lois and many blessings to you too for health and happiness xxx
Wonderful video, many thanks - my weak spot is always my stomach 🙏🏻xx
Any or all of these herbs should help and there are lots of others too xx but if your stomach is a weak spot then definitely include Meadowsweet. xx
Hi Teri..so lovely to see your apothecary 🥰wonderful recipes! Thank you🙏🏼
You are welcome Carol. xx glad you liked them xx
Thanks Terri - as a tincture aficionado, this blending would certainly make sense and cut down on the dropping and squirting of all the ones I take. Loved your attentive audience, obviously hanging on your every word! Also love the lone mushroom in the opening shots - hope you and Lol didn't have to fight over it!
They always hang on my every word😂 - sometimes!!! We checked the mushroom with our friend Craig @edible.leeds and he said it was a Shaggy Inkcap. Just delighted to see some fungi developing in our garden. xx
@@DanusIrishHerbGarden Yes, I recognized it - lucky you, its delicious. I think once it gets going, it can be quite prolific. Meant to ask you if you have, or plan to have any courses/booklets on the blending of suitable tinctures - or what not to blend!
I so look forward to your videos. I learn so much and thank you for allowing us to share in your time.
Thank you so much - you are very kind xxx

💙 Thank you for the info. I'd wondered about dandylion's use.
I've just used teaspoon ACV in a cup of water, flavoring for city water; and, after greasy meats. 😁
Great idea - ACV is a great benefit to the digestive system and for alkalysing the system xx
I love your videos! They are so informative and practical. Thank you🙏🏻 Blessings to you and yours
And many blessings to you Marty - thank you xx
I love the more spice/Earthy essential oils. Definitely love patchouli, sandalwood, cedar, nutmeg, clove, and rosemary. Wonderful!
I love all those too Dwayne and Vetivert is my absolute favourite. xx
You do not have to shake the tincture bottles of those 3 herbs before you pour in the small bottle?
I like your channel. It is calming, peaceful, relaxing and because you are a kind person.
Would you teach about how to take care of the heart and high blood pressure and high cholesterol?
Thank you.
Thank you Thu Le. No I don't tend to shake the tinctures, you could but I just don't. I will try and do a video on the heart in the new year - a good idea, thanks xx
Thank you for inviting us into your home, always so comforting. Love the way your pups look at you🥰 That powder sounds lovely, patchouli is one of my faves
Mine too. You are always welcome Debbie xxx
Another educational video.Dogs were listening so carefully 🤣,they are lovely.Have a nice week and thank you for nice video.❤

Thank you for another great video! When I retire (it will be a while), I hope to have a big herb garden and make my own tinctures as well. Also, your doggies are adorable!
Hi John, don't wait until then. Start now with a window box! You will have years of pleasure just growing a few culinary herbs xx
@@DanusIrishHerbGarden Great advice. Thank you! ♥🌻

Thank you very much for this lovely video dear Terri.
I will make your digestive formula...
I used to put star annise tincture with dandelion and lemon balm...just for ""those flatulences""
Big hugs and love as always,Olga
That would be lovely and effective too! xx Love to you Olga xxx
@@DanusIrishHerbGarden 🥰🥰🙏🙏
I have a small jar of your dusting powder & I love it! I haven't bought deodorant or bath powder from the store for nearly the whole year. Thanks for saving me money! 👍
Hurray! That is one of my objectives xx😊
Thank you Terry ,Lol and loving adorable dogs
Your apothecary is wonderful I love the poem about a gardens spirit.
Thank you for all you share with us it always makes my Sunday complete
Love and Blessings from the snowy prairies
Denise xo
Thanks Denise, we really appreciate you watching and going to the trouble to comment. Blessings to you xx
Love your videos! You have such a peaceful nature. I have many in my family that can't take alcohol. Is there any way to combine these herbs without it?
YEs - you can use organic Apple Cider Vinegar. Make the tinctures with individual herbs, leave for six weeks, then strain the herbs out. Then from the individual tinctures you can make your formula. xxx ACV tinctures are just as good and effective but only last about a year. xx
Thank you Terri! Another timely remedy for the season.
Hope it helps, Karen xx
Thank you Terri for sharing your knowledge ! I really appreciate everything you teach!
Loved the quote at the end of the video, by the way
You are very welcome Alicia and so glad to hear that xxx
I feel such a sense of yesteryear and ancient wisdom looking at your apothecary. I'm going to have a cup of lemon balm tea now as the delicious sage in my stuffing no longer sits well. Thank you!
You can't go wrong with a lovely cup of Lemon Balm tea xx
This is wonderful to know I have the gluten, dairy, and egg allergies thank you for sharing. I would like to learn more for bath salts and herbal combinations I know some but would love to know more in the skin and personal beauty care when you have time thank you love you.
Well Christmas is coming up and people like to make gifts so I will try and do a video on that xx Thanks Cheryl xx
@@DanusIrishHerbGarden Awesome thank you I crochet many things for gifts too

Thank you it is in time for Thanksgiving have a great week
Thank you we will. Have a great Thanksgiving! xx
I would be very interested in what you feed your beautiful dogs.
They get ordinary dog food, porridge oats and some scraps. Occasionally they get meat from the butcher and an occasional treatment of Artemesia or Wormwood. xx
@@DanusIrishHerbGarden what do you do to wormwood for your dogs? It is bitter so how do you hide its taste to the dogs?
Merci pour tous ses bons conseils
Merci mille fois et un grand bravo à vous
Je suis heureuse de vous avoir découverte 🙏
Bon soir Carole. Merci beaucoup pour regardant les films. Je suis heureuse aussi xxx
Hi Terri! Wonderful video-I’m watching as I make a Cilantro tincture. You’ve taught us so much in your herbal class-I enjoyed the practical application of the herbal blend lesson today. Have a wonderful week!
PS: my husband said he was feeling a bit yuck like a flu bug was coming on. I said, “ let me go get you some Yarrow!” 😂 I came back and gave him some of my yarrow tincture. Let’s hope it kicks that minor fever and aches in the rear end!
I hope so! Give him our best wishes for speedy recovery xx
Thanks for sharing your great info! I will try to get meadow sweet & make some! I do have a tincture of dandelion root but wonder if that’s the part of the dandelion that you use? Many blessings to your family 🤗💕🇨🇦
Yes it would be the root that is beneficial for the liver and fat digestion. xxx
Patchouli and floral and a little lemon scent are refreshing and calming
Sounds good xx
I love patchouli and orange
So interesting especially, for me, the body powder. which essential oils do you prefer? I know nothing at this point 😊
I just add my favourites. In this one I put Patchouli and Lavender and some Rosewood xx
As for the brand I use an Irish brand, Atlantic Aromatics.
😊
🙏🎶🌟
I have used Meadowsweet for tea and mead, but I haven't yet made a tincture from it. Do you have a video on making tinctures?
Oh, and I love the body powder recipe. I will be making that this weekend!
Here is another one of my videos about making tincturesruclips.net/video/P0xSmfKPMUM/видео.html and if you look through the older films you will find some others too. xx
@@DanusIrishHerbGarden Thank you!
Did you make your cardigan? It's beautiful and it has pockets!
The pockets were a surprise! No I didn't make this one, I bought it from a woollen store. xx
O how I enjoyed this video and learning more useful things...I bought arrow root at an Amish store recently and now I will make some powder too. 😃 I have all the other ingredients too . I only made sage tinture this year . I made 4 others a couple years ago. Those were my 1st ones to ever make and I made too large of jars ...should have them for a good while 😁 how long do you keep yours ? I used fresh herbs and 80 proof vodka. Happy Day 🙌💖
Hi Tammy, tinctures in vodka will last almost for ever once they are strained. xx
@@DanusIrishHerbGarden Thank you ...❤
❤❤❤❤
Sorry, I need the botanical name of one plant that you added in the digestive remedy... what you added other then lemon balm & dandelion?
The other plant was Meadowsweet - Filipendula ulmaria. xx
do you have specific measurements/ratios for the arrowroot, corn flour and b. soda? And just to clarify, you are using corn flour and not cornstarch?
I don't have - perhaps 50/50 with arrowroot and cornflour - not starch - and just add a little bicarbonate of soda. You don't need to use both either, if you just have one of them, just use that. xx
Teri are those in vodka or glycerin? Blessings to you and yours x
These are in vodka but could all be in glycerin. I also have a Meadowsweet glycerite for children's upset tummies. xx
how long can I keep the powder for?
I can't say as I only make small batches and use regularly. xx
Are you still with udemy I would like to know what are you teaching if possible
No I'm not. I have two courses on my website, one is an Introduction to Herbal Medicine x
can I use casava powder?
I don't know what that is. Try it in a small batch and see.
@@DanusIrishHerbGarden I believe Cassava is also known as Tapioca. Loved this video, as always! Thanks Terri 💖
