- I love to make my own skincare from the herbs I grow in my garden. The recipes for these products can be found below. Flowers and other aromatic plants are very suitable for infusing in oil which then forms the base of creams, salves, lotions and soaps.

Thanks for watching. Here are the recipes. The amounts are the ones that I used for six jars of cream but you can reduce or increase the amounts as you wish.
Rose Skin Cream
12 tablespoons Rose Infused Organic Sweet Almond Oil
6 tablespoons grated organic Cocoa Butter
6 tablespoons of Aloe Vera Gel
5 drops of Grapefruit Seed extract (Citricidal) and/or 1 Vit E capsule
Organic Rose Essential oil
Place the Rose infused oil into a bowl with the cocoa butter. Place in a bain marie until the cocoa butter has melted. Mix together and then place in the fridge until the mixture looks opaque - this takes about a half hour. Mix well until it resembles whipped cream. Add the Aloe Vera Gel and beat together well. To preserve, add the contents of 1 Vitamin E capsule and/ or the 5 drops of Citricidal. Mix/Beat well. Add the essential oil, (NB DO NOT use fragrance oil, you must use an essential oil, organic if possible). Spoon into your jars and label.
Lavender and Oatmeal Soap
1000g of Lavender infused organic olive oil
250g of Organic Coconut oil
450mls Lavender Bud tea
172g Caustic Soda
Handful of organic oats
Organic Lavender essential oil
Add the coconut oil to the Lavender infused olive oil and warm gently until the coconut oil melts. At the same time, strain the Lavender tea into a jug and add the lye. Stir well. Beware of the fumes - keep windows and doors open. When both mixtures reach approximately 50 degrees pour the lye mixture into the oil mixture and stir. Using a stick blender, blend the mix until it resembles a thick custard and a trail dripped over the surface stays on the surface. Now mix in the oats and then the essential oil. Pour into your moulds - I use washed and dried milk cartons with one side cut out.
Cover with baking paper and then with a towel or blanket for at least 24 hours. Remove from the moulds and slice into bars of soap. Allow to be air dried - I use a cake cooling tray - for a minimum of six weeks.
I hope you enjoy making these for your skin, for your loved ones. Feel empowered knowing that you know exactly what is in these skin care products.
Thanks so much for watching. Have a great week!

That soap is just lovely!! I am 55 and have been coloring my hair for about 20 years... I have decided to go natural now due to the harsh chemicals. You inspire me! Your hair is beautiful!
Go for it - my hair is in such good condition in comparison to when I was dyeing it. I think I stopped about 12 years ago. xx

Thank you Terri. Yes, I can tell these products you are making are brilliant. How do I know? Well, just by watching you, glowing, looking more beautiful inside and out with every video I watch. Thank you Terri for spending time with us, your viewers, sharing your knowledge, ideas with us, teaching us how to live, as we should, naturally, using what is around us, what Mother Nature gives us. I’ve made my own calendula salve/cream. I call it “the magic cream”, as I think it is indeed magic. It’s just excellent, it works for any skin issue.
Now, one for the “stars” of the video…..I absolutely love them. Your wonderful, beautiful dogs. We have one just the same, she’ll kiss you to death.
Look forward to watching your next video.❤️
Oana you have all the knowledge and the magic yourself! The dogs ARE full of love that's for sure, Jazz is particularly kissy with everyone. We have so much to learn from them xxxx
Thank you! I love your videos! I think I will try making the rose cream. Sending you love from Michigan. We went from 70 and 60 degree Fahrenheit Thursday and Friday to 36 degrees and snow yesterday. We did have a nice extended fall . Have a wonderful week
Wow - the weather is crazy at the moment. We are sweating away here at 12 -16 degrees F. Very warm for here at this time of year. Enjoy making your cream. xx
I so look forward for your Sunday videos. You are a pleasure to watch. Thank you for sharing your herbal wisdom.
That is so kind - you are very welcome. I hope you give the recipes a try xxx
Ah well now this is what you need on a Sunday afternoon! God bless dear one!! 🙏💚
Blessings to you too JoJo. Have a lovely peaceful Sunday xx
All gorgeous! So many hidden toxic chemicals in make up and all sorts! Shocking! I’m going to have a go at that cream!😊
I hope you do Miranda. It is totally shocking all the harmful stuff in modern cosmetics. Enjoy! xx If you don't have Rose infused oil just use the Sweet Almond xx
I am a firm believer of knowing what we put in our bodies and on our bodies .I make my own skin care and soap and it is surprising how few ingredients are needed . Keeping things simple is best not only good for us but also cost effective.
You are so right. The shorter the list of ingredients, the safer and more natural probably. xx
What joy, what warmth, what pleasure your delicious video’s and your beautiful animals bring to my heart. Thank you 🙏🏼
What a wonderful compliment - so thrilled and touched by that. xx Thank you xx
Couldn’t agree more!!! I also want to add, I love your cute sweater!! 💗
How Wonderful! The Face Cream looks So Good, I have Such Sensitive Skin & I Love Hand Made Soap, Thank You Terri 💛🌻💛 Jazz & Broc Always A Joy to Watch Also xxx
Happy Sunday Sally! Now you have a simple recipe for a gentle soap and some cream. Hope you give them a try xx
Terri it's a whil since I commented...that doesn't mean I haven't kept up and enjoyed watching your video's I've just been quite poorly the entire Summer. On a positive note I'm getting better and hoping to get back to my allotment soon...friends have been keeping on top of it for me while I've been off my feet....really appreciated their stepping in. Another great video and never doubt the inspiration u share...many thanks to u and Lol. Stay well both 🙏

@@DanusIrishHerbGarden I sure will, I started to infuse some of my lavender flowers, and I was going to mix them up with some dandelion flowers. I'm super excited to make homemade soap. I'm allergic to everything at the store, so this will be wonderful. xo :)
I can smell those beautiful soaps and creams in my dreams! Forget about dinner, let's make soap 🧼. Joking aside, it's great being invited into your cozy kitchen after a windy day in the garden. Some perfect gifts for self and loved ones. Thank you Terri.
Well you are always welcome Carolyn. Little joke made me smile - forget about dinner and lets create something... xxx
Saved . Busy building a workshop in order to make creams and soaps
Sounds great! Good luck with that xx
Just in time! Thank you Terri.
Phew! Thank goodness xx
Thank you for sharing your knowledge of flower healing and the recipes. I just read on your patreon site that your husband makes the music - it is really so peaceful and beautiful and adds greatly to the calming nature of the films! Your videos are so professional all around, I would expect this to be a PBS television show. 💐
Thanks so much Cynthia - so glad you like the music and the videos. xxx
Thank you Terri! Wonderful to watch this and always inspiring 🍃🍂!
Hi Barbara - lovely to hear from you. I hope all is well with you.xxx
Hi Terri - Everything looks so good and healthy. Gonna be some great soap and face cream. Love watching you make things. Hugs to you and the dogs! 😊💕🐶
Big hugs to you too Pam. Blessings xx
This is a fabulous share. thanks so much. I'm going to make both these real soon. I'm already in the throes of making a face cream with quince seeds suspended in rose water. It's luscious and very good for sensitive skin as well. You're very generous with your shares, really appreciate what I learn from you. Have my dandelion roots and leaves in a jar of vodka for our liver etc tonic, to use in 6 -7 weeks. Excited. I agree, knowing how to do it yourself is incredibly empowering.
Your products look wonderful, your dogs make my heart smile.
They do that for everyone - if you were here they would lick you to bits with love😂
Hi Terri, I made a second batch of soap last week following your method. It is lovely! I’ve also made a few batches of the rosemary hair wash and toothpaste! That has led to homemade furniture polish and glass cleaner. Now looking forward to making some body moisturizer. Thank you for your inspirational videos 🙏
Blessings to you.
Blessings to you too Karin. Great to hear that you are making so much. Once you make one thing you gotta keep going and then everything is transformed xx
Like all your videos, this one lifted my spirits up. They and you, are like a breath of fresh air, especially when compared to the rush, noise and greed in the immediate world around us and at large in general. Thank you so much.
Thanks for that Gordon, much appreciated. xx
Terri lifts my spirits too. Many thanks to you & Terri.
Lovely way to begin my Sunday. Thank you.
You are so kind. thanks! xxx
Absolutely DIVINE thank you beautiful soul 🌌💟🌌🍀🌺🍀✨🎇🎆
You are very welcome Giuditta. Hope you are inspired to make your own xx
Terri, you were my inspiration for my soap buisness. I watched the video you made quite awhile ago and I made my 1st batch. That's all it took, now I sell my soaps in 2 local shops. Thank-you for all you do for us.
How brilliant to hear that! Fair play to you. xx Good luck with your business!
Love love love xxx
Another informative video! I so enjoy your presentation each week. Thank you.
Aw! Thank you for letting me know. Happy to hear that xxx
Just love your videos ☺
Thank you.😊
That's so great what you showed in this video 👍 I have roses, lavender and calendula in my garden and I will try your recipe. Thank you very much for sharing 🌹🌼👍

Brilliant. Thank you.
Thanks for info Terri have a good day love to you xxx
You are very welcome Suez. Have a great day yourself xx
❤❤Thank you I can't wait to make.
Love the soap
Thanks I really learned a lot
thank you so much for these beautiful recipes!
Thank you for another lovely video ❤️ Will be giving these recipes a try!
Great to hear that! Let me know how you like using them xx
Love love listening to you.
Fun video. My fav moisturizer is frankincense cocoa butter whipped and almond oil. I like to use almond oil as it’s soothing as well. I put vit e oil in it to preserve it. I’d like to say for new bees to wear goggles when making soap and gloves as well as wear gloves gardening
Watching you from Southern United States. What a beautiful landscape you have. And the greens, so lovely. If i ever had a grass that tall, it would be overrun by snakes and gators. Very often i catch myself thinking i need to move to a colder climate. Heat and humidity has worn me down.
I get this! I live near Houston and am constantly trying to figure out what medicinal herbs will grow and not fry up!
Love to the pups he❤❤
Thank you for your inspiration!
You re very welcome - let me know how you get on making your own. xx
Thanks for sharing your recipes and for making it look so simple. The rose cream looks so luscious and your soap so pure, it is inspiring me to try to make my own. Blessings xx
That's great Jamie. They are really easy and so few ingredients that you can't really go wrong . Good luck! xx
I love this video. Thank you
You are so welcome!
Love your video. I make my own soap and cream.

I love and appreciate you and all you do to teach and share.
Thank you so much Kathleen. I love the idea of people becoming more empowered and self-reliant. xx
Going to make this soap recipe tomorrow. I’m very excited to give it a go for the first time. Thank you for a simplified method. Revisiting this video after it initially inspired me a few weeks ago. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. ❤
Beautiful 🌷 Thank you so much Terri 🌷🌷🌷
Thanks for watching Abby. xxx glad you enjoyed it. xx
Yes I love them as well! I just found them. I’m not totally new to herbal tinctures and such and identifying herbs, but I still have just so many questions , and no videos that I have watched to date explain it as simply and easily. So thank you. 👍
Really enjoyed that video.❤
Glad to hear that xx
Thank you for sharing
You are welcome Cecilia xx
Thank you for another lovely video. I've missed making my own soaps. Thank you for inspiring me to get back to it! I'm definitely going to try the cream. 💜
Great to hear! It doesn't take long to do and so worth it. xx
A lovely podcast. Great ideas. Thanks Terri
You're welcome - glad you enjoyed it. xx
these are wonderful. What a great idea for Christmas! I'm gonna do it!
Good for you xx
Thank you so much! I ordered lye a few days ago so waiting for it to arrive so I can make soap. I love the idea of using the milk carton. I have all the ingredients to make the moisturizer so I will be making that shortly. I’m learning so much here and truly appreciate your videos.
So happy you posted this simple recipe for soap with measurements! Ill definitely be trying this
You are very welcome and I am delighted that you are going to try it. Be careful with the lye!!!! xx
Just watching this video now in February. Spring is around the corner. I believe you might try tying your willows into a vaulted arch to make it stronger "crisscross" the new growth a little higher up so you can walk under it 😉
I had tried that but unfortunately the wind has already destroyed one side of it.😓
Thank you Danu all luscious. And it makes my day seeing those two darling angels they are gorgeous luv n light x
Beautiful! I really enjoyed this. Thank you 🙏❤🌼
So glad you liked it Hilde xx you're welcome x
This lady amazes me ❤
Thanks Genoveva xx
I appreciate ur knowledge and would love to take ur classes
lovely! Im going to have a go at making these
Great to hear that. Enjoy the experience of making and using. xxx
Great video Terri I’ve always been a bit hesitant to use lye when making soap but you’ve made it look so easy I might give it a try… thank you 🌀🙏🏼
I just made this! And I even used a recycled milk carton. My fingers are crossed for tomorrow!
Hurray! Hope it worked. Now you have to resist temptation and let it cure. xx
Your home must smell delightful!
It does on making days!😊
I always love watching you make soaps and creams, Terri. It's very meditative. I might have a go at making patchouli skin cream!
Thanks so much Dwayne! Why not - that would be lovely xx
Thank you Terri. I might just try some of your recipes. Sounds gorgeous.
Do give them a try Sal - doesn't take long at all and it is time well spent. xx
The music at the begining reminds me of my childhood and children's TV it's very comforting can't remeber which program but it's a beautiful introduction....love your hair by the way...I'm growing my grey out now I'm 55 Hope it will be like yours
Oh iam so pleased I've found you now to work on my own soaps
God for you. Be careful with the lye, it can burn. xx
Looking forward to making some of these skin care products! Thank you for sharing! Have a good week💜💜
Good for you! Let me know how they turn out. xx
@@DanusIrishHerbGarden Will do!!

👍😊❤️🙏🏻THANKS AGAIN SO MUCH ❤
💚
Thank you! When I'm able to, I'm going to make my own soap. This looks like just one batch will last for many months!
Amazing products!!!:):):):)
They really are. It feels good using them. xx
Ha ha. Just 12 deg. Ide be crying.
Love your videos Terry. You are such a darlen thing.
I definitely will try the rose cream later in the summer once the roses are in bloom.
Top of the morning to ya, I've just been listening to celtic music while I crochet a jumper. And you popped up😁 I had ago at making face cream last year, ello Vera and mango butter, was good must make some more but its only for me so only did very small batch. Your videos really chill me thank you 😘
No wonder you are chilled with the pleasure of crocheting and listening to music. Make more cream for yourself if it turned out well. The Vit E and/or Citricidal will give it a longer shelf life. xx
@@DanusIrishHerbGarden thanks 👍
Thank you, this is so wonderful. I've always wanted to make my own soaps, and skincare. I intend to try this out this summer.
Welcome Linda. You are a wise woman x
Soap making looks fairly easy....,watching you. Thanks.
It is easy Bonnie - very easy. Just be careful with the lye because it is caustic. Give it a go and feel how empowered it makes you. xx
Thank you beautiful lady. Wish i could buy some of your soap. These soul enriching videos make my day!😇🥰💛💚💜
So glad to hear that Tacy. Wishing you health and happiness xxx
Those dogs! ❤️
I know!😂 What are they like? xxx
Thank you Terri for another useful tutorial. I've made balm from plantain before for skin irritations but I'd love to make this lovely face cream; it looks so silky and comforting. Lol's camera and editing skills are so spot on; he makes such visually interesting videos. Thank you to you both.
Thank you so much Rebeccah. Delighted you are able to make use of the tutorials. Lol will be delighted to hear your comment. xx
Terri! will try this cream recipe of yours which doesn't have beeswax in it! I think it will turn out so much better and using only a whisk! no blender needed. Thank you!
I made the rose skin cream today. How fabulous! It works so well. This is in my recipe book now. Thankyou Terri 😊
That is great Lesley, delighted to hear it worked well for you xx
What a lovely time I had watching your film. From the winds in the willows :) to your cozy kitchen complete with adorable doggy helpers. I use all natural face and body products they are the best, I have not tried making my own yet but you inspired me to try it soon. I do make a natural room freshener with cinnamon and ginger perfect for this time of year and peppermint /spearmint for the bathroom. Your beautiful creams remind me of the Boots line from long ago " Original Formula " it was a fav of mine ....
Blessings and Love from Wpg Canada
Denise xx
I remember Boots - such a lovely place to spend Saturday afternoon in when I was a teenager. Too clinical nowadays. It started off as a herbal apothecary and was very successful but then it got bought out and ..... xxx
Hiya Terri, enjoyed watching and learning as always with your videos. All that willow for projects. Love the soap, and can now understand all that goes into the homemade soaps and why they do cost a bit more, so much work into the craft, well deserved. I have noticed that as I age my skin has changed and not in a good way grr! Lol soo any help is most appreciated. Blessings to you and yours Thankyou Ontario Canada 🐝🇨🇦
Blessings Beverley. Bear in mind that most shop bought soap has had the natural glycerine removed which is why they can be so harsh to the skin. When you make your own, all the glycerine is left in. xx
Love this,,thank you for sharing. I will be making some lovely soap x
Good for you, delighted to hear that. Just do be careful with the lye as it is caustic xx
@@DanusIrishHerbGarden will do Terry xx
💚 😁
Hi Randolph!
You have inspired me to make some of my own tinctures! I just bought some bottles to make thyme, marigold, and rosemary tinctures!
That's wonderful! Delighted to hear that. xx
