- KTLA 5's Jennifer McGraw has the latest as protests continue in support of a ceasefire in Gaza and for the Class of 2024 valedictorian, Asna Tabassum after the school canceled her speech due to safety concerns due to pro-Palestinian activity on her social media accounts.

The wokesters at USC now has nowhere to turn. They've cornered themselves. It's a lose-lose situation.
Get out with these silly "woke" crap.
@@mizzury54 The woke are pro-Hamas.

My suggestion is for these kids to quietly pick up their diplomas and leave before the screw up their resume.

They are not cowards
@Planet_Xplorer they are not smart either
@@PatRiarchy-qw6cp Dude is 14,000 children killed by Israel doesn't bother you then don't talk about anything.
@@Planet_Xplorerhow many children did people from gaza kill on October 7th? stop acting like they did nothing wrong. they literally started this mess! i'll admit, it's a horrible situation for those on both sides who are trapped in the middle, but i don't see how crying about it over here is gonna do anything good over there. especially when there are children in the US suffering. people in the US sleeping on the streets. people here killing each other with no regard. oddly enough, no one wants to protest that. no one wants to admit that our country is so broken that we shouldn't get involved in telling other countries how they should run themselves.
If that old lady has kids I feel sorry for them

💯💯💯💯💯 agree with you
Lol a degree from usc can be interchangeable with toilet paper.... same value
I doubt any of these idiots could point to Palestine on a map.
LOL not really. I haven't seen in quite a while but I think the undergraduate acceptance rate is 3% Also USC has an outstanding School of Medicine Law and Music.
@@ChrisCarlin-is8wv lol they probably could have in kindergarten. Lol Tuff school getting into my friend
you sound like someone that failed at high school, if you think USC degrees are not worth anything lol

❤❤❤ "" how long will america watch this ??? ❤❤❤😂😢😮😅😊
So much for freedom and the write to protest freely.
And if she was allowed to speak and there was a violent incident , just guess who would be blamed for that ? That's right , USC. The injured would sue USC for not providing enough protection.
are these the same people who protest a one dollar raise in their Big Mac,
There are other graduates who would be perfectly qualified for this role but since USC had become pretty woke in the past couple of decades, I would not be surprised if their pick of this student had been born out of their DEI ideology. However, given this political climate, they probably realized quickly that this is not the right time for such a risky choice. We don't need another speech that may incite supports for Palestinians, hence supporting Hamas who had been proven to be dangerous terrorists not only to Israel but who would not have missed a chance to chant " Death to America" or "Death to the West". I had two kids at USC prior to the spread of woke ideologies and had been disappointed with some of their past decisions. However, for once, I applauded USC decision to go with another valedictorian speaker.
Why is calling for a one-state solution with equal rights for Palestinians and Israelis "controversial"?
They didn’t delve deeper into it, but the one state solution in her link meant that Israel wouldn’t exist, only the Palestine state. Don’t let her cheerful demeanor fool you, she’s very careful with her words on camera.
@@Gravesend83 She never said that. You're putting words in her mouth. Did the end of Jim Crow laws in the Deep South mean that white people lost their right to exist? Of course not...
People are crazy no organization. You can protest because she didnt get her commencement speech... but they have to put in the pro- palestine etc. Plus it didnt help that she let go of her commencement speech because of what she posted.
I am a graduate student in Japan, studying Frankfurt school, especially Walter Benjamin. Latest academism and education are focusing on issues of human rights and post-colonialism. I am in solidarity with students who stand up and speak out for peace, justice and human rights.
how terrible ao much hate against Muslims
If you knew the most unholy Qur'an and the history of Islam and if you had any sense, you wouldn't have made that comment.
My wife grew up in Morocco and Algeria and what this religion/ideology does and stands for and promotes is absolutely wicked.
@JimDeferio how dare you disrespect another faith, you do know there is extremism in all 3 of those monotheistic faiths not just Islam
@@ML-te6qv I have actually read the ENTIRE Qur'an and many things from the Hadiths and I know for a fact that Islam is wicked.
The "allah thingy" of Islam is an undifferentiated monad and that is impossible for any being that is self-reflective and loving. "allah" is a demonic spirit if it is a being or anything at all.
They should have just let her speak because it might not have been as bad as not letting her speak.
Jewish student groups Jewish Alum and Alum donors lobbied play a big part in shutting her up
Freedom of speech and stop the genocide are good reasons to protest.

where is the speech against atrocities committed by hamas

They should have just let her talk. No one listens to the valedictorian's speech anyway. They just want to get their degree and go home. Most of the students didn't know who the F she was anyway, since they weren't in the same degree program. I can't even remember what the honorary degree speaker said at my graduation and they were allegedly a high profile celebrity.
USC let the Israel crybullies tell it what to do, and now the valedictorian has a much bigger platform, and USC has mud on its face.
It's not about what she may say in her speech. It's about what she has already said. It's the idea of her speaking that is causing the controversy.
@@mizzury54 She should speak. The Israel cult has just given her a nationwide megaphone.

I agree with the Valedictorian.
She obviously has the most brains.
One state solution and equal voting rights for all Palestinians in the region they come from.
The government of Israel has manipulated and controlled the U.S. to the point where you can call the place the United States of Israel.
Enough is enough!
The Palestinians have suffered for far too long.
Ethnic cleansing is not something the U.S. should have EVER aligned itself with.
It has been doing so for almost a century now.
