  • If you're a mid-sized sedan these days, you'd better stand out. And that's the problem that the 2024 Nissan Altima is facing. In a class that includes the Hyundai Sonata, Honda Accord and Toyota Camry, what is it about the Altima that's going to grab your attention? Well this one is the SR model, which means it has a trick engine under the hood. So let's see if that gives it a boost over the competition.

    Although it might not be up to 2024 standards in technology, in my opinion, it is the best-looking car from its competitors.

    SR alone does not mean "Trick Engine" under the hood. it's a Turbo SR, that's where the Trick Engine comes in. SRs start with a 2.5L engine, the Turbo SR is a 2.0L Turbo.

    I have owned a 2015 SV, and currently own a 2018 SL. Looking at at 2024 SR.
    But the MSRP is stupid high. Way inflated.
    The whole market is like that but that may be changing as we speak.

    4:33 can’t really compare the 2023 Honda Accord to the current Altima being that the Accord is BRAND NEW and the Altima is a refresh. The 2018-2022 Honda Accord had hand touch plastic in the same areas as the Altima.

    • @JamaicanMeCrazy
      @JamaicanMeCrazy 20 дней назад

      @@Chris_really_ nah bro it's a heavy refresh but it's the same platform. Just look at the side profile of the 2025 vs the 2024 and you'll see it's virtually identical. Wheelbase is identical down to the millimeter. Interior space identical to the millimeter because.. it's not all new. Shell is the same too. What they changed is the front and rear fascia. If I'm not mistaken you could probably bolt on the '24 doors right on the '25. But three drivetrain is all new and the interior too

    • @Chris_really_
      @Chris_really_ 20 дней назад

      @@JamaicanMeCrazy well yeah technically it’s a heavy “refresh” because the side profile is basically the same and the shape BUT since it’s a new generation it’s a redesign

    It’s a pretty car on the outside, but that’s about it. The interior has extremely cheap fake-feeling leather, the screen resolution is horrible and laggy. I used to like Nissans but when I started driving a lot of them I can’t stand them now.

      I wouldn't judge without driving. Renault sold their majority shares back to Nissan. Carlos Ghosn basically turned Nissan into trash. It was once a very reliable car before the late 90s. Now that Nissan has resumed control again, they might surprise people.

    Also obwohl der nur für die USA gebaut und nicht in Europa ,und damit Deutschland ,offiziell vertrieben wird ,ist es sehr bemerkenswert und interessant zu sehen ,wie europäisch der in Design und Innenausstatttung geworden ist .Vor 15 bis 20 Jahren noch ...verspieltes Cockpit aus billig wirkendem Plastik ,diese typischen dick gepolsterten Veloursitze ,sowie das Design insgesamt ,also da sah man -erst recht ,wenn man den in Deutschland als Grauimport sah -sehr deutlich ,für welchen Markt der entwickelt wurde .Der aktuelle hier ..europäisches Außendesign ,straffe Sitze ,dickes Lenkrad ,sachliches Cockpit ,also durch und durch europäisch . Schade ,daß es den nach wie vor nicht in Deutschland gibt -außer als freien Import -der wäre sicher eine Bereicherung ,denn seit dem Nissan Primera ,gibt es leider keine Mittelklasselimousine in Deutschland mehr ,als Nachfolger würde der sich sehr gut machen und ...als Grauimport in Frankfurt oder Berlin ,fällt der auf der Straße auch nicht mehr auf und wirkt exotisch .
