Definitely a good review of the car, enjoyed it. I'm actually looking to purchase the exact same model & trim & you've definitely convinced me. Cool car.
Outstanding look at the VC. T Who knew the Altima would end up one of the last blue collar sleeper sedans. From hear on everything will be a 2.5 hybrid 200HP, similar torque. Our only choice will be what color and plastic trim we want. Its not really going to matter what OME you pick either. Not much difference between a camry or accord. Anymore . I'm sure Mazda and eventually Nissan will follow along. But for now the latter two still offer some fun.
I have the same model & color bought last October. For the most part I love it= power & gas mileage. Real exhaust tips. Dislikes: Camera image is horrible & small. No leds interior & none on the tail. No auto dim mirror. Only driver window switch lights up, why not all switches?! Too bad they will be discontinued 2025 like the K5.
I just bought this car - same color, model and trim package. Steering could be loser. Lumbar is aggressive at baseline - I actually find the passenger seat a little more comfortable because of this but I made it work with some adjustments. Transmission is a little laggy but better in the sport mode. The cameras are the worst - especially at night. This was almost a deal breaker for me. Rear visibility could be better - stupid place for a light. I liked the black and chrome wheels better on the SL model but the drive is better with these. I can't give this car a glowing review but it's what I could afford and I'm mostly happy with it. Last of the sedans - I hope it keeps its value.
Everyone misses the unassuming Sport Mode Button, Nissan should have made it more obvious. I bought the 2023, it's really fun to drive. The VC Turbo is perfect if you want both power and efficiency; and since I don't drive daily, paying for hybridization that just sits in my garage doesn't make sense.
No sport mode, button behind the shifter is to switch it to the paddle shifters... An in NY it was $38,100 for my sr vc turbo in black all options and sunroof
Your reviews remind me of my reviews (mine are in Spanish), though I would advice your driving section to put the camera somewhere else, half the screen is headliner and sunvisor.
The acceleration sounds impressive for a CVT, but would be faster and better driving experience with a traditional auto transmission. I want to love Nissan, but they put CVT transmissions in the cars and trim levels that make no since. That is why the Maxima is going away. Imagine what that car could have ran with a real transmission! It would have been a beast.
Agree that's why I call them moo moo cars 😅 This guy reviewing is all impressed with the performance. Who's gonna tell him about the performance when the cvt belt starts wearing out.
I see this exact car advertised for $28k near me. Any concerns about the VC Turbo being an issue or any ramblings it already is? The CVT also has had issues in the past.
People don’t break them in! That’s the problem, my VC turbo is doing really good :) they actually upgraded the CVT to the best condition unlike the first one if you get one get a brand new one cause a used one is just abused and is bound to be break down treat it good and it will do the same !
Hi Will, I like the Nissan Altima and I'm interested in getting a new one. I've seen your review on the 2024 Nissan Altima SR Premium and now this VC Turbo. It snows where I live so I'm leaning towards the Nissan Altima SR with AWD, waiting for a Midnight Edition to come out for 2024, since I'm not in a rush, I still have time. Will, just wondering, which do YOU prefer, the Nissan Altima SR Premium or the Nissan Altima SR VC-TURBO??? And, can you please look into reviewing a 2024 Nissan Altima SR AWD in the MIDNIGHT Edition, thanks Will. I always refer to you FIRST, whenever I want to do research on a new automobile. Thx again.
Get the vc-turbo, i just got it and i am loving the car. It is worth the extra money to get the turbocharged variable compression engine and not to mention the VC-T signature rims.

taking delivery of mine tomorrow 🔥 jumping out of my cursed ‘22 Veloster N for this
Jumping in from the grease to the fire. Hyundai and Nissan are both terrible. IF I really had to choose, it would be the Nissan.
@@brenttitus2134not nearly as terrible as a GMC or a Ford
why is it cursed? here i was thinking where is the value in this car in comparison to the Elantra N with a 8spd DCT.

Well said man get it while you can! 👍🏼
I’ll take anything Mazda over any Nissan. LOL

It needs a traditional automatic and will sound really nice.
Couldn’t agree more 👍🏼
People been saying this since 2010 lol
Automatic? People who drive automatic wont even mind the cvt, u mean manual transmission now that will sound alot better and be more fun
Very enjoyable and informative review 👍

17:59 it’s on the back of the shifter
I love the new front end on the SR trims, but come on, Nissan, no LED taillights...
Yea that's a deal breaker for me!
no fog lights, no led tail, but in front? weird
They need to put this engine in the sentra with a 6 speed and lsd for 30k 😤
That won't happen....
I wish… 👍🏼
Amazing review bro.

the Elantra N is the way to go .. if you are looking for performance and gas saver ..

With or without cvt maxima would have been discontinued jus like all full size cars like Avalon etc

Is the blinker still super loud?
Yes lol
So weird, I test drove one two weeks ago and couldn't believe how loud it is.
@@larrybowers8323 jeez….why?? don’t even need to hear it, blinking dash light is plenty

The Bose audio drowns it out though 😏
Does VC stand for variable compression? They are using that tech in the Rogue engines. People aren't sure yet how this new tech will hold up.
That's what it is yeah. The engines seem to be pretty solid - it's the CVT that's the weak link, per usual
Sport mode is on the back of the shifter. It’s a weird place they placed the button!
Looks the best of all the sedans. Well, Mazda3 is right there but small gas tank.
