Nolan wanted the movie to play exclusively in cinemas for 90-120 days, as part of his deal with Universal. I guess he also didn't want the digital release to be first, as he prefers Blu-ray (he's able to approve how the Blu-ray looks, unlike streaming).

They're also R-rated, and had similar US release dates. (Nope on July 22nd, 2022, and Oppenheimer on July 21st, 2023). Both were also shot on standard 65mm film cameras in 2.20:1 ratio, and in terms of film presentations, were presented in standard 70mm prints.
lol I got to see this in the IMAX 70MM EXPERIENCE.....No point on watching it again unless i watch it on that format...would be insulting as a movie watcher to do it any other way
So Titanic, Indiana Jones 5, Mission : Impossible 7 Pt.1, and now OPPENHEIMER, OMG by December my 4k blu ray wallet will be broke! :D
Get Indi 5 off the list, and we're good

Indi 5 is some expensive toilet paper.
1.2 million views on a Blu-ray ad? I like that.
I will be getting it! Everyone support physical media!
this is the most 90s sounding ad voice I've heard in years
lmao facts
Even after watching it for 3 times, I still want to buy this so I can experience this masterpiece again.
3 HOURS OF SPECIAL FEATURES? WHOA, that'll take a while
Another month of rewatching the opening look 😭
Another reason to watch this masterpiece again.
Finally yes, I though it was gonna release digital in 30 days.

yes
Nolan is DA MAN!
Happy New Year Everyone.
Steelbook 🥰🥰🥰
Will it be in IMAX ratio?
I don't know about digital editions, but the expanded 1.78:1 ratio will be on 4K and Blu-ray discs.
Por favor, quando vocês vão lançar este bluray com legendas em português brasileiro????
FINALLY FINALLY
When will Oppenheimer be available to stream?
never
If you're a big fan of JFK, you can't help but love this movie.

Why only 40 comments on a video with 1.7m views? 🤔
