  • AJS Modena 125 review. Buying a used scooter? This is 1 of a few scooters I’m testing this week. If you’re interested in buying a used scooter then head over to ‪@in2moto480‬ because they have loads to choose from.
As always a big thanks to ‪@OxfordProductsLtd‬ for keeping me warm. The hooded top I’m wearing in this is my favourite. Really comfortable and well protected.

I had one of these in the black/white colours. I'm 6ft 5 and found it comfortable, and could even ride it with my wife on pillion. Only issue I had was that I seemed to be invisible when riding it and many drivers would pull out of junctions or roundabouts in front of me. Filled it up with £2.50 of fuel on a Monday morning and that would see me through a 20 mile commute everyday for a week. Great little scooter and I would recommend.

They are great little bikes. £2.50 a week for the commute is amazing. That would save me a fortune.

@KipDingo Is it easy to read speed meter ?

@@ie-qv9eu I had no issues in the daytime but at night the speedo wasn't very bright so was a bit more difficult to read. A bulb swap to an LED type would probably help.

You do fine work highlighting the need of a 5'vs 6' rider and the seat. Great job!

I have just watch RevBomb doing two test runs on Modernas. I am sold on them though I prefer the Barletta.
What would put me off purchase has nothing to do with the scoots it is simply I have no local dealer. And I think that is important. I have to two local MotoGB dealers.

I’ve been on a few scoots this week. 1 of them is amazing. Should be on next Sunday.

I look forward to it. Anything that helps me to stay completely confused due to much choice is always welcome. 😆😉

My lad turns 16 soon. He wants a scooter but he doesn’t like the retro ones. He prefers the modern looking ones. 🙄. I prefer this style.

Are these sold in America? Particularly the one showed in the video, I love the Modena 125

I don’t think they do. I can’t find any AJS dealerships over there.

@@GillyBikes yeah I’ve tried searching myself and nothing. It sucks because I really like that model a lot, it looks like a great and fun scooter. I guess I’ll have to settle for something else unfortunately. Great review and showcase by the way. Scooters are awesome ✌🏻

What happened to the tech specs at the end ?
Scooters in pastel colours, just look right, retro and cool, with those continental vibes. If only it were the streets of Rome on a hot sunny day and not Warrington (no offense 😂) in the grey wet gloom 😢
I bet your videos do increase footfall in the shop, it's a great partnership, win win 😎

    • @GillyBikes
      @GillyBikes  9 месяцев назад +1

I would like a partnership with a dealership in Rome. Now that would be nice 😂. I’m told they do get a few popping In because of my videos. So appears we are helping each other. 😁

The sound of automatics gives me brain damage.

    • @GillyBikes

I agree. Riding one for a long period of time will do that. I have to pretend I’m on a geared bike. Keep letting the throttle off and then straight back on. 😂. Closest to a gear change noise you can get on one of these.
