    Thanks for this, I am 75 and appreciate your tips for us mature riders, been on 2 wheels forever. I always had a soft spot for the Lambretta SX 250. That MPB 125 looks great but I would swap the round tube back rack for a square tube design.
    BTW my ride is a 1000W 29er mullet EMTB I put together from bits.

    Thanks for the review. Not a scooter I'd ever considered due to it's cheapness etc, but a good review all the same. Cheers 😀

    i do like scooters tbh, not the retro ones tbh but modern cvt ones. i own a SH300i 2020 reg and its brilliant, maybe a bit overkill for town but can also double up as a Duel carriage way bike or motorway bike. for what i use it for town and 8 mile rides to work i get around 85/90 mpg!

      @GillyBikes  4 месяца назад

      If I was looking for a scooter now I would go for a 300. They are the sweet spot. You don’t need more power than that for around town.

    I like this one. A nice looking scooter and quite cheap compared to the Lambretta’s and Vespa’s.

    Westerners are still bigger than SE Asians. If an average size Westerner is struggling to fit how does the average size SE Asian manage to ride the bike safely? It is something I often wondered about with scooters from all corners.

      I’m just happy you called me average sized 🥳🥳🥳

    • @clangerbasher
      @clangerbasher 5 месяцев назад

      @@GillyBikes You are actually on the tall size of average for an SE Asian. But that is where a good chunk of scooters are sold. Indians aren't especially tall. So why are scooters so chunky? It is a mysterious.

    • @GillyBikes
      @GillyBikes  5 месяцев назад

      @clangerbasher it’s something I’ve never really thought about but yes they are all quite tall. Strange really because I would bet that they sell loads more over there compared to here.

    Are you sure that is liquid cooled and not air cooled? It looks like forced air cooling from the can on the side of the motor plus it sounds noisier than a liquid cooled model. The engine is probably a gy6 derivative like my Sinnis hero 125 runabout. I currently have five bikes but I agree that a little lightweight scooter is such a useful machine. They are convenient and practical plus sometimes not having to heft a leg over the seat is great.

      I got the specs from the In2moto website. A great bike. And five bike! So showing off 😂. What bikes do you have in your collection?

    • @mitchellnix5274
      @mitchellnix5274 5 месяцев назад

      Yes you are right. I had a look at the MBP website and it is liquid cooled. As for my bikes. Currently I have a Moto Guzzi V9 roamer, a Suzuki Burgman 650, a CF Moto 650 nk, a 24year old Suzuki Burgman 250 and the aforementioned Sinnis Hero 125. I loved them all for different reasons.

    • @GillyBikes
      @GillyBikes  5 месяцев назад

      @mitchellnix5274 that’s a really nice selection. I love the Burgman’s it was the 400 Burgman that got me into scooters. Hopefully I will move house at the end of the year and have more room so I can expand my own little collection. Definitely need to add a cruiser, scooter and classic to mine.

    I reckon it’s a nice modern version of a classic scooter . I think it would have been better if they had just fitted a normal key ignition, & spent the money ,on a slightly more powerful version of Chinese cloned Honda GY scoot engine . This would have given it a top speed of around 65 mph & therefore in turn a sustainable cruising speed of 50 to 60 mph ,for the odd faster roads . The price isn’t too bad for that style of bike , it looks just as good & maybe even more stylish than the modern Lambretta . I also agree about the cut off button for engine , it should be more robustly constructed , that fiddly switch looks very flimsy & doesn’t look like it would take much to break it . Otherwise there isn’t much to not like ,for its intended purpose & what it is . 👍

      I really hope they bring a bigger version out. For me the 300’s are the sweet spot for scooters. Loads of useable power. This is a great value and a decent 125 though. 👍

    • @maskedavenger2578
      @maskedavenger2578 5 месяцев назад

      @@GillyBikes I reckon the classic style scooters suit the 125 to 200 cc engines best . I reckon the maxi styled scooters with 13 to 14 inch wheels or the Honda SH big wheel scooters are more suitable for 300 cc engines & above . Don’t see the point though of keyless gubbins on any bike or scooter or even on cars , even less on a budget scooter . They would be better spending it on engine upgrade ,better switch gear . If they bring out a 300 cc version they are defiantly going to have to increase the wheel size & brake discs , & maybe offer a steel bodied job for the mod crowd & under cut the Vespas , new steel Lambrettas ,& steel Royal ally’s by a grand or more .

    CFMoto 700MT. Can you do that sometime? Everyone reviews the 800 and the 450 but not the middle brother. Like your opinion. 👍

    One thing about all these scooters how easy to access the engine ? My PCX it's virtually impossible even for mechanics. ( Yes you can if you strip down all the plastic - but mechanics will tell you the snap connections break , or the plastic cracks. There is a RUclips on servicing thr Peugeot Django where in changing the plug the whole rear casing is split - an expensive item since it includes the rear light cluster. ) I know when my PCX needs valve adjusting I'll consider it finished and trade in for a new one. Takes a mechanic all day to strip down the plastic and reassemble. (again RUclips )

      Cheap yes. Nasty No. build quality and how it rides are very similar to the Lambretta. But yes you can pay much more and pay for the name. FYI the Vespa 300 is my favourite scooter. But value for money are not their strong point.
