I ordered a pair of those gloves, with the Gilly Bikes discount I think they came to £86.50 including delivery. Proper good deal. Thanks for organising the discount.
I bought one of these to commute on. I'm 5'7 and I can plant both feet down easily because of the low seat height. I was going to get a CB125F because of the fuel economy but I did a conversion course on one of these and loved it.
@@snoopycharlie8718 I'm getting 98 mpg on the commute. Suzuki reckon you can get 120 mpg but the best I've had is 110mpg. A guy at work rides a CB125F and he told me he was getting 135/140 mpg.
Good to see you testing another nice little 125 Always enjoy the speed test Couple of things I thought you could mention are whether it’s got upsidedown forks and whether it’s got LEDs. Don’t think the Suzy has either Still waiting to see what you can get out of a tuned Vespa two stroke! All the best
A bulb in any car or motorbike in 2024 is completely unacceptable. 90% heat 10% light. 5w LED is usually as bright as 50w incandescent. The newest traffic light heads are now rated at 3w. And have replaced 50w halogen and are brighter.
Completely different ride. These are very smooth to ride. There is so much more character with your Vespa. I think I would rather have a Vespa given the choice. 🤔
There is a black gsx s 125, not far from my house. If I was a 17 year old again, it would be the bike I'd go for, it looks really smart. Strange that it doesn't have a gear indicator, most of the late 1970s Suzuki's had them.
Definitely the fastest 125 I’ve tried. But I have lost a little bit of weight. I will have to do these test again when I’ve lost a few stone and compare the results. My weight loss is on the GillyReviews channel. 🎉
They have been brilliant. They are waterproof. They have kept my hands dry and warm. But what I’m most impressed with is the battery life. I’ve managed 3 ride outs with the lads. 4 bike review videos and a trip to the gym on 1 charge. Comparing them to my expensive ones the battery on these has lasted at least 3 times longer which is brilliant for what I do.
Ran thru your tests and used a stop watch to time them from 0-50. Did it a few times and averaged it to accommodate my reactions. The table is interesting. I expect that the lighter unfaired weight gives an advantage in acceleration borne out by the GSXRS/XSR and Lexmoto ( over its lardy stablemate) but oddly not by the Kawasaki? Is that pipe on the Ninja making that much difference? Despite the Voge R125 much vaunted performance even accounting for my fat finger variance its way behind the Japanese Bikes - Touchpaper lit, I'll retire to a safe distance. Way back in 1978 i had a malaguti olympique 50cc moped cafe racer. Dominated Yamaha fs1e , supposedly fast ,It kept up and on a good day out paced a honda cb125 . I got about 60mph on the flat (this was before 30mph restriction) . I guess not much has changed with 125cc in the last 45years ? Still 60mph 'sh.
I had a de restricted aprilia sx50 12hp. The CB125 is about 9 hp in reality. We are obviously both talking 4 stroke vs 2 stroke here. I still love a 2 stroke. It seems the only way to keep the weight down even today.
@GillyBikes what power do you think you could get out of a 125cc 4 stroke with it still being reliable. I mean at 14.8hp from a 125cc is good. If it were a 250cc twin making 29.6hp would you call that restricted ? Or a 500cc making 59.2hp. When a cb500 only makes 47hp
if they really pushed it they could probably double it to 30 but they would cost a fortune and I’m sure the maintenance schedule would be stupid. Also if they took it to the max you would lose what 125’s are good for like Better Mpg. My solution is bring back 2strokes.
@GillyBikes definitely 2 stroke 125 makes 24hp no problem or even 34hp in the case of the aprilia rs125. Reliability and mpg do end up making it a bit impractical.
Good review! is it faster because you have lost over half a stone or more? Who knows lol but your going to have to review all them bikes again once you reach your target weight! Imagine been a lanky 11.5 stone 17yo ragging the pants out of it, i bet its even faster!
When I had my 125cc at 17 I wasn't much more than 9 stone. Same weight when I got a 500cc and would give a 600/4 a run for it's money with such a good power to weight
If you have a look you changed up from 4th to 5th when the speedo read 59mph. It should be the same times as everything is the same. Gearbox ratios are the same. Maybe the fairing helped the GSX-R
I changed up as it seemed to have lost momentum and the revs were high. I do the same on all of the other bikes so at least I am consistently bad with every bike.
All these modern shaped sports or naked’s look grotesque & bunched up to me . More like a mechanical insect on two wheels than a proper practical motorcycle . The only thing in its favour ,is it’s a Suzuki & will have a reliable engine & gear box & will be agile & sure footed handling . The younger riders will think it looks the dogs bollox & that’s who it’s really aimed at, not old codgers like me . 👍
They are just a sports bikes without the fairing and normal handle bars. Not like the bikes we used to have like a cb250n super dream or a GSX250 CB350S or a XJ600

Like the colour, need change that pipe 😊great vid lad. 60 for a 125cc... its ok .i remember the 50cc yam fizzer doing around 55 back in the day.😊
Into a strong headwind a 125cc can struggle to go 45mph. My 50cc went 36mph on A good day. Soon as I passed my test I got a 500cc it was fantastic.,
I would definitely change the pipe. For sound and looks.
I did my CBT in October on one and found it nippy especially compared to my two stroke vespa

I popped it in the description but there is a lot on there. It’s youtube.com/@gillyreviews?si=LVzJ-T_avA9uPjvQ

Yes. I had a Suzuki gsxs-750 with the same colours 👍

I'm trying to put on a stone in weight but wile keeping my 32" waist.
That’s just showing off. I need to lose about 3 stone.
Just to get a comparision, could you please ride the same 0-60 stretch on proper motorbike? Would really enjoy seing this on a 100HP bike.
I will do that soon. It was half the distance on a 300cc. A big bike will do it in 1st gear 😂
Another great review. I won’t be needing gloves like that when I move to Spain 🌤️
Thanks. The heated gloves definitely help in a cold uk winter. 🥶
What are the gloves like in the rain aftwr an hour or so commuting etc
