Enjoyed your video, one thing to mention I noticed you never used a "torque wrench" on tightening up the sump bolt. As removing it looked so tight, and did you re-check the oil on the dip stick? The plastic measures are so inaccurate , I have been caught out with At least 150cc too much!!....my method which seems to work Is drain the oil into a jug and mark the level on the ouside. You can use that jug again at next oil change and you wiil be spot on. Best wishes, and safe riding
Hi. Thanks for your comments on the oil change video. I didn’t use a torque wrench, mainly because as I used to be a mechanic, many moons ago, you tend to get a feel over the years for how tight something should be, so really, I tightened it by feel. It’s never come out yet! It’s important to point out that torque critical bolts and nuts, such as cylinder head bolts etc, should always be torqued down though.
Hi. It was either petrol or WD40. Can’t remember which, but either will do. Just let it dry out before you put it back or it may contaminate the new oil.
I've been mistakenly putting e10 petrol in my modena 125 2014 and it's been struggling to accelerate could this be why?I replaced carb, air filter, fuel filter too recently but still bogging
Hi. It could be the problem. I usually go for the cheaper 95 octane petrol in mine and it performs fine. I know you have replaced quite a bit of stuff on it, but have you checked/replaced the spark plug! The valve gaps are also pretty critical on these too. Also check for any air leaks around the carb or any splits in the small diameter rubber pipes connected to the carb. Is there any crap in the fuel tank? Could even be a problem With the variator belt and the rear clutch, especially if the engine seems to be running sweet. I know you said it’s a new carb, but is the diaphragm inside the carb body ok, no splits? A split in that can cause all sorts of performance problems. Is the float in the float chamber set up correctly too?
Thank you for all your modena videos, you're my go to guy 💯
No problem. Thanks for the comment.
Brilliant work 👍🏻
Thanks mate, really helpful
Really useful videos as i am no mechanic thank you. Just wondering are the crash bars on the side panels easy to put on ?

Hello 👋 can you tell me what you cleaned the oil filter with please.

@@modena_man Changed spark plug but the rest is a foreign language to me,just means forking out at garage again
Chris. If you watch my carburettor strip down part 1 video, pause it at 36 seconds, you will see the mixture screw just above my index finger knuckle.
@@modena_man Thanks your a true gentleman, always keen to help 😀
