For me, "Like a glove" hits hard for me in a massively funny way especially when used on v22-ish aircraft. I was a Crew Chief on V22 Ospreys in the Marines. At VMMT 204, our CO was Colonel Rock, he had been flying V22's since their inception and at this point have been out for quite a while. We were doing CAL's (confined area landings) and at around 50 ft we (the crew chief) start calling the distance to the ground at around 50ft. Hes coming in so fast i was counting as fast as a drill instructor in boot camp 50 40 30 20 10 5 3 2.. He chimes in saying Were on deck, Like a glove. I was still new to crew chief-ing and was getting qualified for CAL's and it was one of the funniest things ive ever heard and was also the smoothest landing ive ever had even to this day. Nice video btw
Brings back memories of flying the Havoc in Tribes 2. I always loved flying people around the map. Though it seems here it’s not really used/useful as an actual personnel carrier.
You can, I had my fair share of gunners who ejected just to help take objective. And if you hover over objectives correctly, people will flood your condor and you see personafter person jump out. it's a pretty cool sight to see
Osprey pilots should be able to do the same things as heli blimps from BF1. Calling airstrikes would be cool enough to not be that aggressive for a transport vehicle; they can even go beyond by doing it more team based, like giving the ability to throw supply drops, smoke and a spotting camera (a free looking one)
Yep, best thing about this game is This transport. We spawned in one at the start, just me flying and mate on guns. Survived the whole game with the same machine. 50 kills 0 deaths. Was upset when I realised I got no assists No bots either, full player game. Was awesome fun
Honestly that thing needs to allow more passengers for breakthrough. Especially the maps with control points on the tower. Only 2 passengers unless your gunners wanna jump but there goes your gunner squad.
Flying the helicopters and such took a little getting used to, but after the second day of playing for me, I can practically pull off simple evasive maneuvers around the rocket and the assembly tower near RU HQ. Heck, I had an epic 'movie moment' when I was in 3rd person, and strafed the top of the helipad with the Little Bird using the zoom-in. I only got one kill though. But this game is fun as heck.

The condor is so overpowered. My strategy is to encircle objectives and always make sure my gunners have view preference. After initial flare use and taking 1 rocket hit, booked it out of there! And since she so fast you can easily run away come back and finish raining hell upon them! Just don't be that guy in the gun tryna kill someone 3 billions miles away......

From the perspective of support you guys definitely did a great job capping objectives, suppression fire and providing a spawn point.
Yeah flying it is a blast. But that minigun gotta be shooting marshmallows. It takes about 6-7 hits to hill and infantry. With the spread it has, even at point blank range, it takes a second to actually down someone. Granade launcher is a weird weapon to attach to a transport heli too...
Would you think that if there was flares that infranty could hold do you think it could defend friendly helis or ospreys if they used their flares already could infranty flares defend from the missiles idk kind of a head scratcher
The first BF 2042 video that feels like BF. I really like what they did to flying transport. Unfortunately, that's basically the only positive thing I can say about the beta.
Feedback : I do not like how vehicles begin fast repairing after 15 sec. without taking a hit. It is really cheesy. It would be more immersive to have to stop (or hover or fly back near your line), then auto-trigger repairs, move back in.
Flying back through a circle like in Bf5 is a bad idea, I don't think this Relay mechanic wouldn't add to the experience. Now emergency landing after your health falls under a certain Percentage is a different story. I'd like to have to pull off an emergency landing on an improvised runway or mountainside, though the F35 would have a way bigger advantage over the SU-57.

Ive always wondered if an old school rolling ball mouse would be good for fps and flying, very little actual mouse movement just fling the ball around. 🤷
How times have changed. They nerfed the speed of this thing so much that it’s now a moving target. Only few can use the Condor now and survive while the Super Hind remains the most OP vehicle out of all.
Plug in a controller and leave it on ur desk. You can switch between the two seamlessly in game and a good controller pilot will beat a good mnk pilot anyday. Makes doing this stuff so much easier
@@jaxastro3072 i wouldnt say controller beats msk. Its honestly just dependent on the user and the experience they have with their control scheme. I actually find it much easier to do precision moves on msk when changing direction at fast speed. But for the VTOL specifically, as your not the gunner and you dont ahve any weaponry, i find its better to use msk for it. The sharper/snap movements also help avoid fire.
I can barely control a chopper, even less the VTOL. I guess its a good thing I haven't switched to next gen...would hate getting destroyed by heli aces when I am just learning
They have your vertical pitch inverted on beta I was really hoping I could change my flight controls to previous titles settings but they didn't allow custom controller mapping in beta kind of pissed me off. I said fuck it and learned the hard way after getting my pitch input fixed, within a day or two I had it down and was clearing objectives. Hopefully you can remap controls on release it's annoying trying to remember how to fly in each game when they don't map controls the same from each title.
One quarrel with this game. The rocket launch sequence is not nearly loud enough. Probably for player experience, but dammit Dice, so much other stuff is jacked, a truly loud shuttle launch would not have been the thing to do you in. It looks so good but there is just a wimpy ass sound.

I don't like the way it defies physics. The way it's able to turn without using any ailerons and how it maintains a straight heading without losing altitude despite being rolled 60degrees is frustrating.
I really like Dave’s channel, but I’m not a huge Battlefield fan. I really miss the old DayZ vids. with James and Shane, I watched those multiple times. I’m afraid that with a new Battlefield game coming out those days are gone for quite some time.

Yep, settings are simple: mouse & keyboard, inverted flight (which I think is the default) and "Pitch Down" mapped to space bar

Or shoot flares to signal air strikes or allow friendly teamates to have flare guns so the pilot can see where they are out of render distances

2 mini guns and front turret is a grenade launcher. It works perfectly fine and is a consistent 2-3 shot if you landed the explosions close.

You can switch flight mode with this thing by pressing Y on PC. It changes from heli flight mode to jet flight mode and vise versa.
