10:10 I'm sure Sajam has already labbed it by this point, but for those of you who want to figure out how to beat honda's buttslam without perfect parry the answer is anti-air normals. The timing is a little tricky since you have to hit him while he's actively falling, but luke's C.HP very consistently beats buttslam.
@@matrix3509 Pretty much. The timing to press the button is after he's already come to a stop on the side he's going to drop on, which means it should always come out in the right direction, assuming your anti-air button is down + button and not back + button... and even on those characters I think there is a button they can answer with that isn't left-right dependent.
@@ensanesane True, but doesn't your opponent get a full jump-in combo if you mess up your anti-air on a jump in? There's always got to be some kind of risk if you want to stop your opponent from doing what they want.
I now realize that DeeJay's shades have to be indestructible. Fella takes Luke's CA and his shades take no damage. Need to find out where he bought them.
1:12:30 people reacting to the Luke LMH combo with drive impact is so common online that I sometimes just don't do a follow up so that I can react to their drive impact with my own drive impact. It's kind of a mixup situation where you're guessing what they're going to react with and choosing your ender. (OD double sandblast covers drive impact too if you prefer)
The triple knuckle combo into level 3 looks so cool but getting the last motion during the heavy knuckle is so tricky on pad. Will have to keep practicing it. But I learned a lot from the vid, and it was nice to see I was on the right track with my punishes.
I had no idea about the search filter thing for replays that's insane, and here I thought we already reached peak info sharing in fighting games with yt videos and guides
Thanks for uploading more Luke gameplay! I'm not so great with the perfect knuckles or the drive rush combos yet, but I've been slowly getting through platinum thanks to the strategies you apply/talk about. Just cause I was curious too, Deejay medium sobat is -6, but sometimes pushback makes a crouching medium punch punish whiff.
That last Deejay player looked like he came from DBFZ or something, because he seriously underutilized his fireballs once you stopped using yours so much. Him not realizing that in this game zoning isn't just a method to make your opponent sit still so you can rush them down more easily like, because then he started flailing and then he got outplayed for it against Sajam's better footsies. I really love Sajam's awareness of the drive gauge too, it makes watching him check mate his opponent so interesting since i myself and still a little blind to paying attention to it.
Dude thanks for letting me know about the n00b lobbies. IVE FOUND A HOME!. Also I think you literally just have to play 20 minutes max in WT to remake your character lol.
Jamie’s not bad. They’re repeating something some pro said, I can’t remember who, and the only justification they gave was, “his od dp does small damage.”
When you perfect parry honda, do as much drive damage as you physically can. Just remove that resource from him, it punishes him pretty harshly since he has to do it again

I’ve been watching replay channels and there’s basically only 1 blanka they post and that’s Wolfgang. I’d use the cfn to watch good blankas myself but free time is a premium and I’d rather actually play when I’m at home, it kinda sucks but I should’ve known this going in
Yeah, the only problem with using CFN for replays is that Street Fighter 6 has to be open. It'd be great if there was something like CFN for mobile phones and such, but the way replays are saved would make that kind of impossible.
18:00 i really like how he adjusted to the mu, let himself get rocked in the first rounds so he could try stuff then successfully 2-0'd after adjusting

i mean i’m not a luke player but i just keep the button held till i see a flash and then release and it works? i’m not good enough to do the combos but the perfect timing itself isn’t that tricky
its not that random if you focus on the arm, when you see it flash immediately release, best way to do it until you get muscle memory or you want to secure the combo
I can't wait until Honda receives the inevitable nerf. I haven't played one yet, but the fact he has not one but TWO moves that have no counter outside of perfect parry. Such a degenerate character, how did they think him having two "get off me" moves that are plus was ok? Honda is playing and entirely different game with that amount of privilege.
So for buttslam the answer is just anti-air normals. For luke specifically C.HP beats it *very* consistently as long as you hit him while he's falling, and I'm sure the same goes for everyone else's anti-air buttons.
If you have a shoryuken type move, it beats Honda butt slam and headbutt flat. If you're a Manon player, she can use EX spin to go through Honda headbutt too.
Butt Slam isn't a "Get off me" tool. Only OD has AA invincibility, and even then Honda would rather just use 5HP or Headbutt. You can also beat both without Perfect Parry: both headbutt and sumo slam can lose to normals, DPs, etc.
Luke playing sajam thinks he’s good at this game because he players a character more stale, sauceless and barebones than ryu. Why don’t you play someone else? Luke is quite boring to watch. So sleepy…some deejay, jp, or Ken would be nice.
