RoboTire developed this tire changer to address the shortage of auto techs. It says the robot can mount 4 tires on wheels, balance them all, and put them on a car in 25 minutes.

I love how it pulls the tire off, lifts it 6 ft in the air then lowers it before dropping it two inches.
That’s more like 10 feet in the air
At this pace,.it will take a while
Wonder how it will do with stripped lug nuts or Chrome caps that blow up from corrosion underneath & have to extract them? Robots are not a good replacement for good technicians. IMO, No thank you.
Iv never thought about an actual robot tech before. But more than likely will be perfect for electric cars. They’re just another device and everything is network controlled. Probly be pretty easy

Good, maybe it will actually torque the lug nuts properly, instead of just hammering them on with an impact and ruining everything.
That thing was not even dealing with the lug nuts. It only lifted a wheel and tire from the car and set them on the floor.

That's easiest part.....
All that robo thing is doing to lifting a wheel and tire off of a car. It is not unscrewing the wheel lug nuts. It is not changing the tire by removing a tire from the wheel and re-installing a new tire on the wheel. Pure CLICK BAIT video!
They could of done that in the 70s at minimum with the machines that existed then. I prefer the cute guys at my local shop looking snappy with snappy service to go with it. Where’s the Jetsons pods!

Certified mechanics don’t change tires. Young dudes with good backs do.
We have systems that can make planes that should tumble, fly and be some of the most maneuverable making hundreds to thousands of corrections a second but changing a tire needs some time....

No shop is going to dish out the kind of money this would cost
There’s many things this can’t do. 1st thing comes to mind is inspecting the wheel and hub surfaces.
@@GiveMeTheRedPillthat is what two eyes are for. Its didn't drive the car onto the lift,, unscrew the lug nuts, and cant repalce the old tire with a new one. Total waste of money
What do you use for tyre detection to grip it correctly?
I want to see the machine rip the car off the lift because of galvanic corrosion and the wheel not wanting to separate from the hub. That would be a better video.

It seems to be a little out of adjustment (it dropped the wheel/tire)!! Someone needs to tell it we are still using the english system of measurement...

Proper preparation save life and made money but people don't like me until they lose life and bankruptcy then they blame me
After remove and deflate too before human can work on it for safety same thing with airplane tire because most of industrial jobs were designed to either kill workers or created fake insurance claim
