Great video, I watched all 1+40 full length of the video. This is the first Stage I install video for Whipple that I have seen. I have watched 7 videos of the Whipple Stage II SC where 5 of 7 cars had Kooks headers and full 3” exhaust and the results were between 775 - 815 rwhp using the provided Whipple/Ford tune and all 7 videos added Boostang. One video actually changed the pulley to increase boost to 11 psi. The two cars with the lower rwhp were the two Mustangs without cooks headers and stock exhaust. The 5 higher horsepower cars also installed the 170* thermostat. So many Mustang owners are most likely going to select the Stage 2 over the Stage 1 Whipple SC. You still have warranty from both Ford & Whipple.
Thanks for your video. I have been around many years in this effort; most owners are looking for ~~700 rwhp if daily driven. As you said at the end of the video you found that the tires were braking loose at your ~656 rwhp. So you have an awesome looking S650 to drive daily. Get some 1 7/8” Cooks ceramic coated, change out the pulley and add some Boostang and you have 700+ rwhp!!!
Great video‼️I am curious to see what you do next.
Cheers Brother‼️👍👊💪😎🐎🇺🇸
Thank you so much, more content coming soon!
Thank u for ur brutal honesty. Best s650 channel on YT!
Thanks
Best part of this is the real numbers.
Was so tired of the “ higher than normal “ dyno numbers
🫡
Alex called this out long time ago this is a blue check mark
🥸
Finally a shop not afraid to hurt some feelings even though they are a dealer for this brand.
We think after some miles its picked up power through adaptive - new video coming soon following up. Car went 10.2 @ 135 so the power is there.
@@MurphysLawGarage unfortunately the Stage 2 on those other shop cars are trapping 140-145 MPH.
I’ll manage 140 in -DA this winter, there’s definitely a 9 in the car. Most of those stage 2 cars are pullied with headers
You have the best s650 content on the tube right now 👏🏽
Thank you, I’d like to say - the realest.
Had a blast doing the install. It came out great. Can’t wait to see what it runs
I had a blast working with you Billy - we ought to collab more often! I can’t wait either!
I was thinking mid 7s with octane but maybe others were using funny dynos… trap MPH is the only truth!
Glad you got your kit, mine should ship next week afaik.
I have the estimated HP based on trap speed at the end of the video!
Good video being truthful to customers about Dyno Numbers. #amry
Thanks
Well done.
Thanks
Awesome video. Honestly, I wondered if some trickery ;like moving the dyno temp sensor to a hotter location) was used in those 800hp dyno videos.
I dont think we’ll ever know.
Great video I appreciate the transparency. I wish more people would stop giving information that they are aware is not the case.
Thank you,
Within the range of a “Good Meal Tip” Well done.
Thanks Matt
Great video!!
Thanks
DUD's LAW GARAGE 😂😂
What did you expect, its a DUD and your channel is literally named what could go wrong! 😂😂 jkjk
Keep up the good work 👍🏽
It will probably make more power now that you have driven it a bit but the true story will be at the strip.
We are going to get back on the dyno and go to the track now that the car has miles on it.
Be good to see the next video with some dragy numbers. Lite the world on fire again.
Working on my suspension/testing to post the best numbers for them.
@MurphysLawGarage lol Alex going to lite you on fire hahaha, totally get the back story on that!! Fug that guy, but still good to see some real world results and not some inflated BS or track passes that have the video cut out before the time comes up.
@MurphysLawGarage on a side note, Steeda progressive springs, stock shocks and a stop the hop bar with a MT street R dead hooked up here in Canada at near freezing at 40mph on the street. That was on E85 and a 3.5 pulley. Likely around a real 830whp. Went 9.5@147 at the track. 3200 DA
Love that you guys keep it real! Great video! What exhaust do you have it sounds great?
Thanks, MBRP Street
I installed the first customer kit 2-3 weeks ago on my DH stage 2 kit. With my son in the car, we ran a best of 6.3. Fast! 60-130. You need to drive the car and let it learn.
I was in e30 on DR.
Love this car!
It’s definitely improving.
What pulley. 3.7 on a gen 3 coyote with a gen 5 whipple is high 5 or bottom bottom 6's. On 93, JUST 93.
Good video thanks
No problem
That’s crazy
Yep
I called them out on one of their videos that said they were making 800 with just their kit on a stock car. Them and lethal are full of shit. #Amry
🫡
My 2011 (412hp) mustang made 676 with a gen3r, so I am not super impressed . Hopefully it runs the number you want at the track. I will be following your project.
We’ll be back on the dyno soon as well at the track, video should be up next week.
Great feedback on an amazing platform. Weren't other installs able to get to 7600+ rpm with the HP increasing to the end?
Thanks! Yes, but on stage2 cars, the limiter is high.
Expose em!!!😂😂 800 is way out of reality.
👀
I ordered this kit with my DH. Appreciate the honesty on this...has whipple finally started shipping the ford kits to the dealers? I have heard "sometime in may" the last few weeks...some ship dates would be nice! If you know anything about that please let me know.
Thanks, no I haven’t heard anything
Great video! How did you get those assembly line photos on the wall in your wrap up?
Thanks, unfortunately I can’t say.
Now you need a new track video. I see you’re a little disappointed in the numbers but for what you got that’s no dud lol. Nice car J
Thanks
Subscribed because of Alejandro Flores. Good job calling this shit out . One of the clowns owns the company on that baseball cap you're wearing as well.
Thanks for the sub
Awesome Install !! Did you guys use any special tools to remove fuel line? 26:20
Thanks, no special tools.
THE "EXPLODER" version of the YOTE
?
Its literally a DUD 😂😂😂
Hey now…. 🫠
I should see if norm would be interested in doing a video on my car. I’m installing a stage 2. Wonder what the “real” numbers would reveal on the very same dyno but the other kit.
Call him up.
@@MurphysLawGarage will do 😊
Supa fass
Rocket into a missle
My 21 year old 2003 Terminator Cobra must made 658/653 with a whipple 2.3. The torque punch's you in the face....oh and I ran out of fuel pump at 4,000 RPM's at 100% duty cycle and the run stopped at 5,500 RPM. There's more in it.........
Awesome 🫡
I ordered my whipple 2 weeks ago. these results are very disappointing. for 10k and then getting reamed 5k to install by everyone I talked with is crazy. Ill be pitting mine on the dyno now.
Make sure to post so we can see please.
Hey guys, very interested to know about using E30 in this car. The owner's manual states these cars shouldn't go any higher than E15 - so the E10 of pure pump gasoline is already near the supposed limit. Is an E30 blend still safe to use? I've seen you guys using E30 when this car was completely stock and running an 11.6 in the quarter.
It was tested by JPC Racing pretty thoroughly that these cars could deal with up to E40 before leaning out. So to stay safe we’ve never gone above E30.
....and that' STD correction. It would make even lower with standard SAE correction.
Correct
Thanks for being honest. Whipple has great products (have one on my 22 F150) but this phony advertising was not needed.
The shops caused the smoke and mirrors here
Did you use the BMR SUSPENSION BSF760B FRONT BUMPER SUPPORT?
Yes, same as the S550.
This isn't surprising. Even with the S550 these warrantied, smog legal blowers never made the advertised horsepower. It's always after tuning them do you start to see real gains.
🫡
As far as the other shops making 800+, their trap speeds come up way short from what ive seen.
Trap speeds tell all
Now run the dyno again with your stock tires and see what happens.
I only say that because alot of the dyno runs i have seen went out of their way to smaller rear tires on for the dyno run.
If anything the 28” tire is helping with the 3.55 gear. The effective gear ratio is closer to a 3.33
@@MurphysLawGarage just an idea since you see every other video do the same thing and most of them are manual so they also have 3.55 gears.
I am saving for my supercharger now but i only have 3.15 gearing so hopefully someone else does a 3.15 video but then so i know if it is worth it not lol
You have to remember a MT82 car will show more HP because there is less drivetrain loss. There are no other stage 1 videos on YT - this is it.
@@MurphysLawGaragei get all that just an idea for a video. To show how much of a difference tires cause on a dyno. Clearly your current numbers are going to be more legitimate since that is the setup you are running, but it could have interesting results and get you some views.
Certainly
May I ask, what is the complete install time on the Stage 1 Kit on an s650? Thank you.
About 12-14hrs
@@MurphysLawGarage THANK YOU brother, I knew the dealer was trying to hammer me. I appreciate your time.
That Seth guy needs to chill out, my girl watches this channel.
Yeah, that guy
He seems harmless
I have it on good info he is.
You need to grab your girls tampons then if you’re going to continue to watch 😂
My gut told me there's no way that stage one made 810 stock.
We are going to try and find that 30whp needed to make it make sense. I have faith in Whipple.
Can you here whine in the cabin?
Rarely and very faint - everyone outside and out front can.
Ford needs to just unlock the damn tune and let us car people do our thing idk why they did this crap. And showing the gauge 180 but only able to hit 155, ford is just like Chevy locks it for no damn reason
Its not the manufacturers, the EPA is requiring the lockdown to prevent emissions bypass.
why does whipples website say stage 1 is 810 whp and stage 2 is 870, and all the youtube videos say otherwise. also the website says the difference is the throttle body and tune
Crank HP, not wheel HP. Yes, the difference is only the TB and tune. Stage1 is artificially limited.
@MurphysLawGarage if it's 810 crank then you should be seeing more then 670 wheel.
@@MurphysLawGarage i dont understand how you are losing 160 hp through the drive train. just doesnt seem right.
@bushesareuseful 688.5 would be the magic number on 93. We are getting back on the dyno Monday.
15% drivetrain loss, which is actually pretty good for an auto
Well Palm Beach just did a DH all stock, all stock, guy drove from NC - on a hot car got 747 taking into consideration it’s supposed to be 500hp out of the box stock - maybe you have a dog instead of a Pony 😮… I guess they are lying at Palm Beach (I F’ing doubt that) but I will add that dude had a stage 2 kit… ruclips.net/video/Qx7YO0FI7II/видео.htmlsi=5Iz3KwFrE2-j4JIE
Stage 2 makes 50whp more than my stage1, so their car made exactly what it should’ve.
@@MurphysLawGarage so what’s the deal with the stage 1 vs 2 like why are there two why can’t they warranty a the 2 …?
@@MurphysLawGarage Roush might be a better choice those are warranted as well prolly the same numbers
Only Whipple can tune S650’s, so Roush isn’t an option, and Ford went with Whipple for the Ford Performance kits - VMP also uses a whipple for their kit.
The stage 2 has a larger throttle body, 2lbs more boost and a higher rev limit. Stage1 is designed to be warrantable under Ford’s testing for reasonable abuse and a long life. Stage 2 requires someone to know when to calm down or you’re gonna pop it.
Transmission loss is a % not a fixed number and it's not even a fixed % on an auto car due to clutch slip etc
You should tell that to Ford who quotes it at 15%, regardless it’s all an estimate unless its an engine dyno.
Stage 2 whipple numbers not stage 1..
😶🌫️
Who else is here from the YDBT CHANNEL? #peasantchat
🥸
This video could have easily been 30 minutes or less.
There are chapters, skip to what you want to see. You forget its a How-to for those installing themselves.
@@MurphysLawGarage Are you changing anything when putting E30 in and why only E30?
No changes, it’s the largest amount of E you can safely put in them as tested by Whipple.
@@MurphysLawGarage based on what? The tune or fuel supply?
@RecklessRegal Whipple tuned the car, they tested fueling/lambda on E30 for both the Stage1 and Stage2 cars. The fuel system is adequate and the cars safely make more power. These new PCM’s have a tremendous amount of adaptive learning. This car in particular has ran E30 for more than 100 passes down the track prior to the Whipple and picked up 1-2mph.
Lmao why get something brand new that’s not gonna outperform its predecessors 😂 S650 guys are noobs
I only see one noob here 😘
@@MurphysLawGarage line that S650 up with a previous gen Mustang with a blower and comparable mods. You know it won’t win 0-60 or 60-130 noob
🤨
@MurphysLawGarage wow some people are angry.
Yep
Palm Beach has made over 700 to the tires on 4 different cars
Every single one of those cars had long tube headers and octane booster. Also, they are at sea level, which is great for HP numbers.
Stage 2 cars
We are at sea level too
@@FitzCityGarage ...and initially they didn't disclose the octane booster deal until they got blasted on social media for it.
Dyno is car treadmill 😂😂😂😂😮
Basically lol
