The Money in the Bank cast is so much better this year, last year you had people that really had no chance at it, Escobar, Nakamura, Pete Dunne, Ricochet. Unpopular opinion, but Damien Priest was the right choice. LA Knight didn't have a narrative reason to cash in on the World Heavyweight Championship / Drew McIntyre. It was perfect because of Drew's entire narrative about not paying attention to the right person and because Drew and Damien had history, especially considering how often Drew insulted Damien's plan for cashing in at Survivor Series. Plus LA Knight cashing in on Cody or Roman would have been a bad decision given Cody's story going into WrestleMania. Knight could be a good choice in the future, but last year and this year are just not it for him.

In my opinion, you can't use hindsight to determine the money in the bank because in hindsight a lot of the winners make sense even the bad ones. Example, Brock Lesnar winning in 2019 makes the sense especially if he had cashed in on Kofi inside of the 8 seconds. Although it makes sense it still wouldn't make Brock a good Money in the Bank.

Jericho would've been the best choice, Punk had a cool cash in but they messed up his reign, and his second time around with it he did way better. Jericho had a lot of momentum at the time and would've been the best choice
But would LA Knight’s momentum have survived the horrible booking as Mr MitB that Damian was forced to go through. LA Knight would have seen even more idiotic for constantly failing the cash in at every opportunity between July and April. Damian as a heel was able to take it but face la knight would not have faired better.

Cm punk vs Jeff hardy was my favorite fued! I was a huge Jeff hardy fan as a kid in middle school and to see him lose the cage match and end his career really hurt me and I stopped watching after that match.
I have always thought it would be interesting if they made it were who ever has the mitb case would have to defend the case and who ever wins would have until the next mitb match to cash in
LA Knight was definitely not the best choice with him being on smackdown he would’ve gone after Roman and the undisputed title which would’ve messed up the Cody finishing the story thing and having him go to raw wouldn’t have made any sense whatsoever Damian, ricochet, or shinsuke were the only good options tbh could argue for logan but I doubt they’d put the world title on him this early in his career
Surprised by how compatible our opinions for most years are (especially with KO in 2017 and Sami in 2022). I thought the best choice for 2018 would have been The Miz (he was extremely popular with many fans after that IC title run), but the way things ended up with Bryan's heel turn and Kofimania, I wouldn't want to erase anything.

Unpopular opinion, but Damien Priest was the right choice. LA Knight didn't have a narrative reason to cash in on the World Heavyweight Championship / Drew McIntyre. It was perfect because of Drew's entire narrative about not paying attention to the right person and because Drew and Damien had history, especially considering how often Drew insulted Damien's plan for cashing in at Survivor Series. Plus LA Knight cashing in on Cody or Roman would have been a bad decision given Cody's story going into WrestleMania. Knight could be a good choice in the future, but last year and this year are just not it for him.
The 2024 one both had the wrong winners.

When Cena got injured, then we miss out on the "Age of Orton" where Randy went on that amazing 1st WWE Title run. Plus we miss out on Jeff Hardy chase against Triple H in 2008. In my opinion, you can't use hindsight to determine the money in the bank because in hindsight a lot of the winners make sense even the bad ones.
Example, Brock Lesnar winning in 2019 makes the sense especially if he had cashed in on Kofi inside of the 8 seconds.
Although it makes sense it still wouldn't make Brock a good Money in the Bank.

2013 I wouldn't have Cody win. I wouldnt have Damian win either. Cody's story after that match was great, first a quick feud he went over against sandow, then teaming with his brother in an amazing storyline against the shield. I think i'd pick barrett. Get his revenge on cena. Could've just had Cena win it back in a triple threat at survivor series with del rio, then had Del rio barrett be a feud instead of fandango ziggler mess for tlc.
