Agreed with all of your replacement except with 2017. Instead of Jericho, I would have picked Bray Wyatt because the storyline with him and Randy Orton was pretty intriguing at the time. Plus, had WWE played their cards right, Orton could have won the WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber and Bray Wyatt would have defeated him at WrestleMania 33. I think that could have been a better story than what we got.
@@lancethefilmguy9392 I agree, Bray Rumble win and Orton Elimination would have worked better especially if the final 2 were Bray and Orton in the Rumble instead of Reigns
For 2017, Randy winning was actually a consolation prize to him by Vince for letting Brock bust him open at Summerslam 2016. This story is out there plus it was also leaked in december 2016 that Randy will win. Although, I whole heartedly agree Y2J should've won here (Or in 2012, 2013, 2016).
If WWE actually planned the DB storyline I think you could make a good case for Batista winning. What I would’ve done is have him in the match but screw him over, then try everything possible to keep him out the main event. After that basically have everything play out like it did except it’s an actual storyline instead of real life
Bryan could have won the 2014 rumble have the authority screw him by forcing him into a match with Batista at the chamber. He loses then he still gets that HHH winner goes to the main event match. Same thing but it's a storyline instead of wwe hand being forced
The biggest mistake they made with Batistas comeback in 14 was that they telegraphed it. They brought him back on Smackdown and he said he was entering the RR he entered 28th overall and won when everyone wanted DB. If they kept him under wraps like they do now with returns like edge had I think he could’ve been the last surprise entry and he would’ve got a massive pop for the entrance and then the win and the yes movement would’ve been delayed. Instead we got what we got which worked out great until DBs injuries
Nah nothing was stopping the yes movement at that point. Austin could have come back in the Rumble and he was getting boo'd. The fans were OBSESSED with DB at that point in time. They were literally hijacking every show.
I still think it's crazy how Vince wanted to make Charlotte win the 2021 match after winning the 2020 one, making her the first to win twice. Thank God they changed it to Bianca in the last minute.
I like this. For 2021 the story going around why Bobby Lashley went into WM37 as WWE Champion was to make his WM match that more unpredictable. If McIntyre went in as champion he was clearly losing. With Bobby going in as champion, we don't know whether Bobby was gonna be a transitional champ so Drew can get his Mania moment with a live crowd, or Bobby was so over they were gonna make RAW his show moving forward post Mania.
Looking back people saw this more as a 2nd world title match after the triple threat main event. And everyone was just expecting Drew to become 3 time world champion but it eventually didnt happen and thats ok i guess, Bobbys first title run was enjoyable he earned that.
Also, it was a way for them to dispose of Miz' MitB by giving him a short title reign without needing to have a failed cash-in after they'd already done that with the briefcase in both 2017 and 2018.
Royal rumble 08 at MSG was the first, and to this day only WWE PPV I've ever attended in person. The momentCena's music hit was a moment and memory i will never forget. It was before the days of rampant social media and crazy twitter leaks. Smartphones were still incredibly rare and very few people had a phone even capable of using the internet, blackberries were basically the only option, maybe an iphone 1. Point being, had 08 Rumble happened now, Cena's return wouldve likely been leaked, or at the very least rumored/speculated/discussed to death online. Back then there was none of that spoiler talk, and since his return was actually so quick for the injury he suffered it was almost superhuman, nobody in the world saw it coming, and it was absolutely iconic and legendary
we actually did get that Shield triple threat match, that same year in fact, at Battleground. If you're saying that you meant at WM... it couldn't have due to Rollins not having returned from injury.
speaking of the 40 man royal rumble i feel like they could pull it off now for sure and not have to worry about getting legends back when watching your 30 prediction for all 30 entries i realized how many people were left out. because 30 just isnt enough with how talented everyone is now
Ah yes the 2014 royal rumble. I still don't understand how Daniel Bryan didn't win the damn thing. 2015 rumble had the most dead reaction to Reigns winning. That was funny 😂
Crazy thing is I thought it shoulda be him or Roman cuz Roman was doing so well but then McMahon gave him a mic and terrible promo material and messed the whole thing up
Yeahh, the first round should've been Roman. They could see Batista getting hate and having Roman winning would've given him a way more positive reaction. Then have D-Bry win the second year.
I completely agree with you on Rey. I really don’t think he would have the same fame today if Eddie didn’t pass away. He’s still an amazing wrestler regardless, but I doubt he would’ve been the ultimate underdog if Eddie was still alive.
@@stevenbryant8160agree. Rey pinned main eventer Diesel in wcw and bam Bam bigelow (BBB) in wcw. He was on the rise from 1999 to 2005. Even in wwe rey beat main eventer eddy at WM 21! And again at summerslam!
If Punk wins in 2011, the pipebomb doesn’t happen cause he just had his Main Event at Wrestlemania. How do you set up Cena vs Rock at WM28? Does cena retain against punk? Does rock interfere like he did with the Miz? If punk wink I think he signs a new contract and the whole money in the bank situation is null. As much as punk winning would be cool, the future would be very confusing. Cos Punk may have never left WWE in this case. Does Bryan still get over enough to be popular enough for his WM main event storyline.
Yeah, we can't be acting like they'd just have the match they had at MitB at Mania instead and it would be anywhere near as cathartic or engrossing. Not only did MitB manage to blur the lines of kayfabe extremely well in ways they couldn't replicate earlier, Punk going into WM was still saddled with the remnants of Nexus, and Cena had already feuded with that group for half of 2010.
I personally feel like the 2018 RR Final two should have been Finn Bálor and Nakamura. But Ultimately Nakamura winning but I do feel like Finn should win in a near future. He deserves it after the poor booking he’s been in under Vince until HHH took over (Proof of how good he is as a solo main eventer is his 2nd NXT Run). I mean Not giving him a proper solo main event title is a crime.
I am pretty sure till 2020 rumble WWE used to keep Roman as the final two to create unpredictability and when the winner eliminates him they get a bigger pop
Finn Balor was the shop stopper in NXT… His bookings in WWE post his injury had been loose… Demon Balor losing to Roman at SD was the most eerie moment of WWE- this killed the character of the Demon…
@@cameronbailey4658 they used it the best way in 2020's rumble let Roman eliminate the returning Edge to not let Drew get any heat while making Roman even more hated and Drew eliminating him that much bigger
@@Airkong423 you can argue the last few years with the heat of Roman, like in 2017 when he eliminated bray, I thought Randy was going to win but deep down I was like shit there’s a chance reigns wins again
What's crazy is Drew winning the Rumble was his babyface turn. Lol. He went into the Rumble as a heel and walked out the biggest babyface in the company.
I wanted Shawn Michaels to win 07 so badly. He also had an amazing run but I'm glad it was him and the undertaker at the end. I still remember watching it for the first time on the edge of my seat.
I feel like a lot of his choices are just based on the obvious WM match they were trying to get to, which doesn't make it the right choice, becuase in a lot of cases the big WM match was already obvious, and therefore the person who won the rumble (e.g. Cena in 2013) didn't actually need to win the Rumble to set up that WM match because we already knew it was coming. 1000 ways to get to Cena v. Rock at WM... there's another world championship in WWE, use the Rumble to elevate someone else!!
I just joined the patreon a couple of days ago and I must say it's so worth it. I feel like the style of the videos there are more suited for older fans in terms of language and pacing. So solid you're amazing man
About Edge winning in 2021, I think they gave it to him because they had plans to give Roman a very lengthy and important title run, which is why they wanted his world title to be defended against the royal rumble winner at Mania, in the era in which there were 2 world titles.
I think the 2000's were honestly the best decade of the rumble. We had a different winner every year and each one was well deserved with a fun rumble each time.
Actually we got the Shield triple threat, although it did not felt as big as it should. It happened that same year of 2016 at the Battleground PPV, right after the return of the brand split.
We got it… But with 0 buildup and how poorly handled it was with the shield triple threat being irrelevant rather than it being moreso on the brand split Plus it should’ve been at Wrestlemania :P
I don’t think that’s necessarily true. Cause even after Eddie died they still almost chose Triple H and Randy Orton multiple times before choosing Rey. That’s also why the WM ME had Orton cause they wanted him to win as well

@@theworstchannelyouhaveever9573 actually I agree with all of them except edge 21 but the fact that I've seen very few people say sami shouldve won 23 and you said got me a lil excited so i mentioned him specially, it should've been highly agree lmao 😆
For 2022, the plan was for WWE to unify the WWE and Universal titles but I feel like WWE could’ve done that better. I would’ve had Bobby Lashley win the rumble and challenge Brock Lesnar and then have McIntyre win the elimination chamber to challenge Roman Reigns. But then, have both world title matches happen on night one and have the winner of both matches fight each other for both titles on night two of Wrestlemania
This is a random comment, but this is the first video of yours I've seen (I think I've seen TikToks of yours before), and what really impressed me is how articulate and well-spoken you are! I don't love the 'RUclips style' of editing where every line is a cut, and hearing you deliver your points clearly, without feeling like you were reading a script and while still making eye contact with the camera was a refreshing experience. Great video!
I find the 2004 Rumble a fascinating area of discussion. Honestly, Benoit was my favourite wrestler, so you can imagine how much what happened made me question that fandom. That being said I do agree that if it wasn't Benoit, it should've been Kurt. This would give Angle that elusive Rumble win he arguably deserved. But that's where the conversation gets fascinating. After all, Eddie Guerrero ended up becoming WWE Champion because Benoit jumped to Raw after winning. So the question then becomes what would've happened to Eddie if Angle won and stayed on Smackdown. If Angle jumped to Raw then the story with Eddie could stay the same. But if he stayed on Smackdown that throws Eddie's arch into question. It also raises the question of would WWE have gone with Lesnar vs Goldberg and instead opted to do a rematch of Wrestlemania 19 with Angle facing Lesnar? If WWE opts to go with Angle and Lesnar at Wrestlemania 20, the question then becomes does Lesnar still leave? Granted, Brock was unhappy with the schedule, but I do wonder if Lesnar would have been in part a little more satisfied with his position in the company if he was up against Angle who he always seemingly loved facing. Just raising that as the potential ripple effect of changing the Rumble winner for 2004 is probably the most fascinating out of any other Rumble.
Brock winning was very predictable considering he had lost the belt earlier in the night. Everyone was so weak that year. I knew for sure Brock would win the rumble. Ronda i agree...so bad. Honestly i have a much bigger issue with the 2021 rumbles...Bianca from Nº3 and Hall of Famer Edge from number 1 still leaves me dumbfounded to this day...Shockingly bad winners who had no right to win.
Do you think if the WWE knew that Lesnar would go to the UFC, they might not have given him the RR2003 win? That would also mean they would know he was going to become the UFC Heavyweight Champion and become even more famous and give WWE more legitimacy in the eyes of UFC fans(Punk did us no favors with that) AND WWE would know Lesnar would return to them an even bigger star.
Correction, in 2016 Rollins was injured, we could not have gotten the shield triple threat at Mania if Ambrose won. Rollins returned at extreme rules 2016 after that knee injury in november 2015.
I think the way daniel bryan made it into the main event of WM 2014 was better than winning the royal rumble, it was an iconic story he was so over the cround wanted him so bad and he lost the rumble and made all of us furious for making batista while bryan had the perfect storyline, and than comes all the yes stuffs the ring evasion calling triple h for a match and winning it at WM just to be included in the match later and finishing the story, it was just like a revolution
I think in 2017, it should have been Bray Wyatt... A rumble win for randy at that stage did nothing much for him but Bray should have won that, then Orton wins the title at elimination chamber, and the storyline gets that Wyatt was jealous of Orton having the championship and we get Wyatt vs Orton for the championship at mania anyways but with Wyatt winning his first championship at mania instead of the chamber 👍🏻
2011: Christian, 2013: Jack Swagger, 2016: Dean Ambrose, 2017: Bray Wyatt, 2018: Finn Balor, 2020: Shayna Bazler, 2021: Bobby Lashley, and 2022: Bianca & Jeff Hardy
@@lennythegumpsummers8889 Jack Swagger could've still feuded with Alberto Del rio for the WHC that way wwe could've had Rock vs Punk 3 at mania. And anybody other Lesnar should won the 2022 rumble. But jeff was the best option i could think of realistically for that time frame. But i also would've never unified the titles. Or they could've had Drew vs Seth at mania for the WWE championship.
I Just Want 1 Thing Before AJ Styles Retires, He Needs To Win The Royal Rumble Because Rumble Is The Most Significant Aspect Of AJ's WWE Career, He Has Been In 5 World Championship Matches Out Of The 8 RR Since His Debut, Plus RR Is AJ's Debut PPV, It's His Debut Anniversary. If AJ Wins The Rumble It Will Be Like An Celebration Of His WWE Career And AJ Styles Deserves That More Than Anyone.
Highly disagree with 2008. HHH should've won. Went 2 ½ years without the title. Put over Benoit, Batista, Cena at WM 3 years in a row. Had a WM and title drought. Won the fans sympathy. Completed the face turn with DX. Got injured (blessing in disguise to get him out of a tag team and back to singles). Returned and had the history with Orton. Plus...the redemption story of avenging the Cena losses.
Ngl bro u just earned another Subscriber 😂 i fw the video i agree with you on your picks on who shoulda won the Royal Rumbles over the last few years i think it was just one or two i disagree on overall the video was great.
13:46 we did get the shield triple threat match at battleground in 2016. You might have been saying that the match should have been at Wrestlemania (which it should have) but that couldn’t have happened at WM 32 because Rollins was injured. Also Roman vs Dean would have been so much better.
In 2016, I think the winner should've been AJ Styles (I get that Vince didn't know who he was, but I don't care, it would've been awesome). Imagine the buzz of someone winning on their debut night and it being someone as good as AJ Styles to headline WM32 against Roman or Brock or whoever they decide from the limited selection that they had.
I see what youre saying but it couldnt have been styles. Dont forget the 2016 rumble was FOR the championship and there was no build up to make ppl who didnt know styles previously in TNA to care for him as champ
@@adimdadream8697 I Agree With Your Point But That Could've Actually Worked Out Very Nicely, The Story Could've Been Like Look At This Guy AJ Styles Who Call Himself The Phenomenal One, The Man Who Never Worked In WWE Won The WWE Title & The Royal Rumble Simultaneously On His Debut, On His Very First Night In WWE. Then The Few People Who Didn't Knew Styles Would've Been Intrigued And Started Googling About AJ Styles. Then Gradually In The Months Leading To WM 32 WWE Could've Built AJ By Telling The Audience That AJ Has Been A Global Performer, Has Won Championships Around The World, Has Been The Main Event Guy In Every Promotion, Why Everyone Calls Him Phenomenal And Now He Has Arrived In WWE To Rule It. So It Actually Could've Worked Out Great But WWE Wanted To Do The Same Daniel Bryan Vs Authority Angle With Roman Reigns...
I will never understand how someone can look at Chris Benoits career and go ok I’m just gonna forget that ever happened, people can cry all they want Benoit is undoubtedly the best technical wrestler of all time
Batista winning in 2014 would have been fine if Daniel Bryan was in the Rumble and got screwed by the Authority. Daniel overcoming all of that to be part of the main event with Batista and Randy then winning, would be fine.
Hbk did not need to win in 2010. He and the Undertaker did not need the belt for their feud. Meanwhile, Edge up to that point, never won a Royal Rumble and had just come back from injury.
Men gave a whole load of opinions throughout the video and surprisingly every single one is relatable as a fan.... Also, cody wasn't a bad choice but prblm is, recent rumbles have been pretty straight forward as far as winners r concerned be it lesner edge or cody..... The moment they entered those respective rumbles it was pretty clear they r gonna win the whole thing..... So even if simple choices r correct sometimes..... Wwe jst shouldn't make thm too obvious to win before rumble itself
2022 Rumble, with that final 6 (minus Lesnar) it was a perfect time to give Randy that last run into Mania as the Viper. up until Lesnar came out and you just knew he was gonna win it, it didn't see it making sense to have anyone but Randy to win it
Dean Ambrose and Dolph Ziegler were the fan favorites to the match Though honestly Dean Ambrose probably should’ve won 2015 or 2016 as the WWE champion match could’ve been glorious Ziggler would’ve not had a chance against Brock in 2015 lol But Dean Ambrose vs Brock Lesnar could’ve been believable but 2016 showed that Brock just sucks and hates fun match lol
You nailed the Ruthless Aggression ones, I agree completely, even with Angle in 2004 if we don’t consider Benoit. I also agree with 2011 and 2012 (I loved Jericho’s return and, still not disliking Sheamus, I tought he had no business eliminating Y2J).
One thing I would change about 2007 would be having Undertaker face Cena instead of Batista. Cena was RED HOT at the time plus he was on a lengthy title reign and showed no signs of slowing down. Undertaker also had his undefeated streak at the time, so put 2 and 2 together and you can see that would've been a match for the ages.
Undertaker facing batista was perfect for 2007, which also led to an extended feud throughout the year for the title..That became the best feud of 2007.
Bryan not winning in 2014 was a good thing. We wouldn't have gotten that amazing match with Trips at Mania 30 and overall it made the eventual satisfaction of him winning 10x better. Now in 2015 that was absolutely criminal. We could've gotten that match with Brock he had at Survivor Series...but as the Mania main event...we were robbed!!!
They needed some star power for the main event matches therefore in WM27 they had Edge opening the show and Cena and Rock ending it, if it was Riley who won then Miz vs Riley lacked that star power
I always thought it should’ve been Wade Barrett who won the 2011 royal rumble, I thought he was a bigger heel than cm punk and it could’ve allowed him and cena to continue their rivalry but for the wwe championship and it could’ve redeemed Barrett after cena buried him
Edge could have been a good 2020 rumble winner, after coming back from that 9 year injury where literally 100% of the population thought he'd never come back. With Drew, he could've won the chamber and either faced Brock or I think ideally Goldberg so that we could have Edge vs Brock.
you know. as a kid i used to watch Zap and his Michael Myers videos and never knew he was such a big wrestling fan. im glad i came across his videos again
If Batista didn’t win the 2014 rumble we wouldn’t have gotten the amazing storyline and story telling of Bryan clawing his way to get his title match 🤷🏼♂️
I think I agree with most of your picks. I’m confused about Batista because he was not great in the ring, but he was hot stuff and had a great degree of swagger when he was younger. I comply begrudgingly.
13:43 I still find it hilarious that the WWE only ever had ONE Shield triple threat match, and they wasted it on a B-level PPV Battleground right before Summerslam in 2016
2018 FINN BALOR, are you kidding me? He literally had the fight of his life, from number one position he fought every single entrant and after his universal championship rip off, he deserved this win, he would have a banger with AJ at wrestlemania! maybe demon could have came back, but Finn Balor should have won the 2018 Royal Rumble, HAND DOWN!
Day 43 of asking for the most significant heel. Turn in WWE history and not most shocking but ones that got better overall and ones that got lost in the shuffle. PS this is just my opinion but my favorite rumble memory was Cena's return
Looking back at it. If WWE wanted to make Taker v HBK WM 26 even more powerful I say you have HBK win the Rumble challenges Taker for his world title at Mania however Taker still loses the World Champion at EC. Then the next night on Raw HBK foreits his Mania title opportunity so he can end the Streak. That would have been a great touch now that I’m thinking about it
i really think they should’ve had Bray win a royal rumble at the height of the Wyatt Family. if you have Daniel Bryan win the 2014 RR, i feel like you have the door open for Bray and maybe start a program with Roman that might’ve helped get him over as babyface-OR turn him heel earlier. (admittedly, i am VERY much a Bray Wyatt fangirl, so make of that what you will) RIP Bray. you deserved better from Vince.
2016 Rumble did have only one logical winner from a storyline sense, yeah, but honestly I think they could have used that moment to build not only Ambrose, as you said, but also as a star-making moment for the late Bray Wyatt. Hell, given how highly they regarded him right out of the gate, there's somewhat of an argument for AJ Styles winning the Rumble in his WWE debut and them just strapping him to a rocket and sending him to the moon there.
Not disputing your choices, but think about this. Chris Jericho was a company man, who pretty much loved Vince McMahon. Then, after taking the belt off KO in 2017, and moving their match from main event to second, Chris left, which ended up being substantial in the formation and early days of AEW and certainly in their development. If Vince had just given Chris what he deserved at the 2017 Royal Rumble, there's no telling how much things might have changed. (Note: I'm not saying Jericho was one of AEW's founders, and I'm not saying they wouldn't exist without him. I think it's pretty clear that he had done a LOT for them as they developed and grew.)
Santi I know this probably doesn't mean much but I want you to know that we all appreciate your consistency and your hard work on your videos keep up the good work and have a great day 👍👏
Everyone always talks about Daniel Bryan winning the 2014 Rumble and I wholeheartedly agree - however, he wasn't IN the match! So for the sake of picking the right rumble winner, CM Punk (who was #1 and lasted to the final 4) should have absolutely won that rumble after it became apparent that Bryan wasn't even a participant... and it almost would've made sense too, because I can't imagine Punk would've got the same reaction as Batista for winning, and everyone of us would've understood why Punk and Bryan were kept separate. Maybe even Bryan won the Championship from Orton which would've given us CM Punk vs Daniel Bryan in the main event of WrestleMania XXX .... We can only dream.
My defense on Sheamus winning the Royal Rumble was the fact that he actually had a ton of momentum. He only lost maybe 4 times in 4 months so he had all the momentum
I think if he wasn't, we would get a triple threat at Wrestlemania, and some random Battleground PPV. It was the hottest storyline for a few years back then.
@@vladboch Yes that could be the case and it would be way more interesting than HHH vs Roman. And the Battleground match didn't even get a proper build up because of Roman's suspension.
For once Santi, you actually have some good facts to backup your picks lol. Just kidding, but no for real you got some good follow ups in this episode, so I’ll do what you did except correct your mistakes. 2003: Brock Lesnar, agree best choice, they needed someone to lead that area of WWE at the time and nobody was hotter that than guy. 2004: (Redacted), agree his hard work over the years during that time made sense for him to win the Royal Rumble that year. I also agree Kurt Angle would’ve been a good choice too when it came to wrestling one of the all time greats in Eddie Guerrero or if they would’ve decided to Brock and Angle the next year at WrestleMania. 2005: Batista, agree WWE had been teasing for months that he was going to split with Evolution as well as the budding heads with Triple H. while he was champion at that time plus the multiple times he had competed for the World Title in that year, makes perfect sense. I would add that you could make the case for Cena at that time too, but they would’ve had to tease more of it. 2009: Randy Orton, agree, he needed that win. He was the biggest heel in the WWE and his legend killer gimmick was dying at the time, what better way to transition from that to being this 2006: Rey Mysterio, agree on if Eddie didn’t pass away, he probably wouldn’t have had that moment at that year’s WrestleMania, I would add that Triple H. would’ve been my pick to win it if after he would’ve won the rumble they built this up more with a proper storyline material. 2007: Undertaker, agree perfect choice to win it, Batista’s run was on the verge of ending, I would add that you could say the same thing for Shawn Michaels if he would’ve won instead. He needed that win when it came to figuring out how to move on from a storyline with reforming DX with Triple H. and his injury to getting back to be the showstopper at WrestleMania. 2008: John Cena, agree, who better to shock the WWE by coming back from an injury like that to challenging the WWE Champion at WrestleMania. Triple H. I would agree would be the back up winner in my opinion. 2009. Randy Orton, agree, he was the hottest heel and the time and his legend killer gimmick was getting stale, so to make him still the hottest heel, he took out a legend himself in Vince McMahon and winning the rumble would make him even more of a dastardly heel than he was before. Thus facing Triple H. in the end made for a great storyline heading towards WrestleMania. 2010: Edge, agree, this match needed a shock value, Edge coming back was everything the rumble stood for at that time. I also agree that Shawn Michaels could be a good choice for a backup winner, even Cena in a way too. 2011: Alberto Del Rio, agree, he did not need to win this match. He shouldn’t have been anywhere towards the main event scene yet, besides 40-man Royal Rumble… not really a headliner worth talent to win this monumental moment for the WWE for the first time ever. Punk is a great choice I have to admit, but the problem I have with that is the booking they had before the actual match itself. This would’ve been perfect if WWE didn’t book Punk costing Orton the WWE Title in his match with Miz earlier in the night. It’s kind of a flip of a coin tbh.🤷♂️ 2012: Sheamus, disagree, he needed that win to gain his star power back. Sure his match at Mania was whatever, but Vince saw something special in Sheamus, plus Jericho already has completed for a world title at Mania, it’s time for someone else to get that moment. Jericho is a good runner up pick though. His rivalry with Punk was great, hated his weird gimmick when he came back in 2012. 2013: John Cena, agree even though the booking and decision making rematch for Cena and Rock is controversial, I couldn’t have picked anyone better tbh. 2014: Batista, disagree, WWE shot themselves in the foot with bringing Batista back, so obviously you want the returning star to come back for one final moment. I do agree that if he didn’t come back then Daniel Bryan should’ve been in it and actually win the match itself. 2015: Roman Reigns: Agree, I understand why they did it, but Roman wasn’t ready, nobody wanted it. Daniel Bryan should’ve lasted longer first of all and second actually win the rumble. If not Bryan then Ziggler, because he needed a better moment like he had win he cashed in the night after WrestleMania in 2013. 2016: Triple H.: Agree, he should’ve have one it, but since WWE advertised it as Roman Regina Rumble journey “One Versus All” they shot themself in the foot again and everyone new this rumble was about Roman’s rumble journey and it was obvious Triple H. was coming back to get even with him. I do agree that Ambrose winning would’ve been a great swerve, the only problem is that he was still the Intercontinental champion. 2017: Randy Orton: Disagree, for once WWE surprised us and I feel for a rumble like that called “The Greatest Rumble of All Time” they needed to through us a swerve. Randy was the smart choice to win. I do like your choice on Jericho though, because that would’ve made his story with Owens more watchable for the bookers backstage. 2018: Shinsuke Nakamura + Asuka, both agree, they were the perfect candidates to win the rumbles and I also strongly agree with you when it came to the booking at Mania lol.😂 2019: Rollins + Lynch, agree both also perfect choices to win the royal rumbles too. 2020: Drew McIntyre + Charlotte Flair, McIntyre agree, perfect swerve. Somebody new winning the rumble, makes sense. Flair, agree too. Baszler needed that win because she needed to find a way to show her star power/dominance like she did in NXT. Charlotte and Ripley could’ve been thrown on that year’s WrestleMania whenever WWE wanted to make the jump for that match. 2021: Edge + Bianca Belair, Edge disagree, I think Daniel Bryan should’ve won because he could’ve ended Roman’s title run and Miz could’ve cashed in his money in the bank contract on him at WrestleMania and then could’ve continued their personal rivalry. Bobby Lashley is a great choice if they didn’t do that awful segment with Miz cashing in at the Elimination Chamber, also Lashley was U.S. champion so they would have to figure out a way to get the title off him. Belair, agree, and honestly I could see Ripley winning the rumble too that year, both very talented wrestlers that were the future of WWE. What better way for them to make an impact in the winning the rumble on the main roster. 2022: Brock Lesnar + Ronda Rousey Lesnar, extremely disagree , terrible and lazy booking ruined my excitement for that year’s Rumble, plus didn’t need this win for any reason. I agree that AJ should’ve won this rumble. He needed this win. Or Riddle or Randy even or somebody else than LESNAR!!!! Rousey, disagree Rousey coming back was shocking, it needed to happen, her challenging Flair though and booking wise is a debate but they used that shock value they do for the whole concept of the Royal Rumble. If she didn’t come back for this, then I agree Sasha should’ve been the one to challenge Flair, plus terrible booking decision by throwing her out early. 2023: Cody Rhodes + Rhea Ripley: Both of these agree, both needed this wins to help them gain there star level potential that they know that they have. Cody losing at Mania is what I disagree with the most, but at the end of the day, Cody and Rhea needed these wins to help solidify their careers for the future stars that they have become in this day and age. 2024: CM Punk + Bayley: Punk vs Rollins is money, plus it would fulfill Punk’s dreams of main-eventing WrestleMania plus solidifying his career as one of the greatest wrestlers of this generation by competing against WWE’s top guy in Seth Rollins. Great personal story to be told at the grandest stage of them all at WrestleMania. Bayley vs Iyo needs to happen too, because this would help remind the WWE Universe that Bayley is one of the best WWE female wrestlers of all time, plus it would be great seeing her as a face again. Perfect way to turn her face in this match at WrestleMania.
Daniel Bryan not winning the 2014 Royal Rumble was the right choice, the chase would not have worked out as well as it did if he won the Royal Rumble in 2014, however Daniel Bryan should have won the 2015 Royal Rumble definitely.

@@teeqx7361tbf ,Dolph Ziggler vs Brock Lesnar doesn't sound like a Wrestlemania Main Event. No offense to Ziggler of course and also the problem with that Survivor Series win was that he only won because of Sting's debut. If Bryan wins 2014, you dont get the amazing story and the real rise and takeover of the Yes Movement, where you dont get Daniel Bryan vs HHH and its not guaranteed you get the Triple Threat Main Event. That would mean you dont get Yestlemania as powerful and as memorable as it was@@kevinuchiha6830
I don't know you could call Sheamus feud with Daniel Bryan in 2012 a throwaway? He started the feud by hitting white noise on him after Elimination Chamber, then the (agreed terrible) WM "match, but then they had a 2-out-of-3 falls match at Extreme Rules, which was actually a really good match. This is probably nit-picking since the case for Chris Jericho that year definitely made sense, but a "throw away" feud with Bryan is definitely not a reason Sheamus' rumble win was wrong.
Hot take for 2016 rumble, Dean should have won and thrown off roman and the authority, it would have made such a good twist and we know Dean was ready for the belt because he won it a few months later at MITB
The 2016 Rumble was for the WWE Championship and that time Dean Ambrose was the intercontinental Champion. So when it came to the final two it was already spoiled that Triple H was going to win. Don't think it's impossible, but nowadays it is very unlikely a superstar who's already a champion winning a Royal Rumble, especially if that Royal Rumble Match is for a title

So, you would've just swapped Bray winning at Chamber with Randy?
@@videogameman110 Yes
@@lancethefilmguy9392 I agree, Bray Rumble win and Orton Elimination would have worked better especially if the final 2 were Bray and Orton in the Rumble instead of Reigns
But that sounds like Bray would be the one to betray Randy
@@Cattail4546 I would work either way round. Once Bray sees Randy with the title the Family begin beating him down leading to the Bray vs Randy match
Yeah him and owens carried raw in 2016 if I remember correctly
Y2j should of won 2012 for sure.
If WWE actually planned the DB storyline I think you could make a good case for Batista winning. What I would’ve done is have him in the match but screw him over, then try everything possible to keep him out the main event. After that basically have everything play out like it did except it’s an actual storyline instead of real life
Hindsight it made the story better, in the moment it was absolutely the wrong call
Bryan could have won the 2014 rumble have the authority screw him by forcing him into a match with Batista at the chamber. He loses then he still gets that HHH winner goes to the main event match. Same thing but it's a storyline instead of wwe hand being forced
It was ridiculous he wasn’t even in the match
I get it but the fact that it was real and not a storyline made Bryan's story more beautiful. And at the end everything Played right
@@joaodcvieira yeah cm punk leaving. Batista leaving early and Bryan getting hurt played out right for sure
They were literally hijacking every show.
royal rumble is by far my favorite ppv of the year. some say mania but the rumble just has a special place in my heart
Seriously, sitting and waiting for the countdown to see who it is is great
I still think it's crazy how Vince wanted to make Charlotte win the 2021 match after winning the 2020 one, making her the first to win twice. Thank God they changed it to Bianca in the last minute.
Bianca iirc was originally planned to be eliminated abit after half way which I feel would of killed whatever momentum she had at the time
I like this.
@aidanator8008 Yeah that MITB run sucked, I was cool with him losing it in the TLC Match, of not win and just drop it at Rumble.
We knew drew was losing to Bobby. Hey dat rhymes.
He shouldn't had won.
Vince n wwe probably pressured cena to return like 2 mo early

If Punk wins in 2011, the pipebomb doesn’t happen cause he just had his Main Event at Wrestlemania. How do you set up Cena vs Rock at WM28? Does cena retain against punk? Does rock interfere like he did with the Miz? If punk wink I think he signs a new contract and the whole money in the bank situation is null. As much as punk winning would be cool, the future would be very confusing. Cos Punk may have never left WWE in this case. Does Bryan still get over enough to be popular enough for his WM main event storyline.
No. If punk wins RR 2011 instead of rio then punk loses to edge in the whc intro match! lol
WM 20 = 2 small guys stand as world champions. WM 30 = Bryan and Punk should've stood tall as 2 small guys.

This is a random comment, but this is the first video of yours I've seen (I think I've seen TikToks of yours before), and what really impressed me is how articulate and well-spoken you are!

You mentioned the shield triple threat for Wrestlemania 32, which wouldn’t have worked since Seth was still injured

I don’t think The Undertaker would’ve wanted to hold the WWE spinner belt and tbh that version of the belt wouldn’t have look great on The Undertaker.

I think it could be a really cool idea to do this same style of video for winners of money in the bank!
But were we really? The mania 31 main event was great. And without that we never get the heist of the century. No 2015 rollins run so
You right we would have gotten Batista vs Brock and cena vs undertaker instead. Add cm punk to the main event against Randy and Bryan so you keep punk
@lennythegumpsummers8889 the heist of the century on Bryan would have been better than on Reigns.
Ok hear me out. What if alex riley won the 2011 rumble. Student vs Master at Mania for the title. I think with the right booking it could have worked.
It could have worked if they didn't bury rylie.
But regardless of how horrid they would have been, it would have beat Del Rio's win by MILES.
I miss Riley. In fact call me crazy I also wish Dolph Ziggler could've won that too
@@LucotIC. They buried him harder than Jack Mid Swagger and Tyson Kidd
They needed some star power for the main event matches therefore in WM27 they had Edge opening the show and Cena and Rock ending it, if it was Riley who won then Miz vs Riley lacked that star power
For something like TLC maybe, but if they actually made this WM main event they would've sold like 14k tickets instead of 70k
Santi drops a video just in time needed something new to watch let’s go!!
I love that you keep uploading each day💯 Keep it Up SANTI!🔥🔥🔥💯
I think I agree with most of your picks. I’m confused about Batista because he was not great in the ring, but he was hot stuff and had a great degree of swagger when he was younger.
I comply begrudgingly.
13:43 I still find it hilarious that the WWE only ever had ONE Shield triple threat match, and they wasted it on a B-level PPV Battleground right before Summerslam in 2016

13:47 The Shield had a Triple Threat match, it just happened at Battleground!
The one thing I’ll say about 2022 Brock is it gave us the phenomenal “this is my cameraman” promo from Roman
He entered in at number two, Rusev entered at 1
@@EpicAndrew97 my bad bro, but yk what I'm saying right
I think Christian should’ve won the 2011 rumble but I think he was injured?
Day 43 of asking for the most significant heel. Turn in WWE history and not most shocking but ones that got better overall and ones that got lost in the shuffle. PS this is just my opinion but my favorite rumble memory was Cena's return
Looking back at it. If WWE wanted to make Taker v HBK WM 26 even more powerful I say you have HBK win the Rumble challenges Taker for his world title at Mania however Taker still loses the World Champion at EC. Then the next night on Raw HBK foreits his Mania title opportunity so he can end the Streak. That would have been a great touch now that I’m thinking about it
So we end up in the same place as we did in regular 2010 😂😂
@@lennythegumpsummers8889these markers are clueless it’s insane
i really think they should’ve had Bray win a royal rumble at the height of the Wyatt Family. if you have Daniel Bryan win the 2014 RR, i feel like you have the door open for Bray and maybe start a program with Roman that might’ve helped get him over as babyface-OR turn him heel earlier. (admittedly, i am VERY much a Bray Wyatt fangirl, so make of that what you will) RIP Bray. you deserved better from Vince.
Batista was easily the right man to win the 2014 Royal Rumble.
Wrong
2016 Rumble did have only one logical winner from a storyline sense, yeah, but honestly I think they could have used that moment to build not only Ambrose, as you said, but also as a star-making moment for the late Bray Wyatt. Hell, given how highly they regarded him right out of the gate, there's somewhat of an argument for AJ Styles winning the Rumble in his WWE debut and them just strapping him to a rocket and sending him to the moon there.
Seeing how Shinsuke flooped 2018 is Rey Mysterio for sure:
Unexpected.
Potential 4.5+ star match against AJ Styles.
Fantasy match-up.
Keith Lee was supposed to win the 2021 royal rumble match but he had covid sadly at that time
Not disputing your choices, but think about this.
Santi I know this probably doesn't mean much but I want you to know that we all appreciate your consistency and your hard work on your videos keep up the good work and have a great day 👍👏
17:17 I agree on this one.
Bro has all the content of the world in his brain uploading it every single day
18:58 I knew you would change this one.
My defense on Sheamus winning the Royal Rumble was the fact that he actually had a ton of momentum. He only lost maybe 4 times in 4 months so he had all the momentum
Seth Rollins was injured at Wrestlemania 32, so either way we would not get a Shield Triple Threat
I think if he wasn't, we would get a triple threat at Wrestlemania, and some random Battleground PPV. It was the hottest storyline for a few years back then.
@@vladboch Yes that could be the case and it would be way more interesting than HHH vs Roman. And the Battleground match didn't even get a proper build up because of Roman's suspension.
here me out it 2014 would have been logical for batista if he was a suprise and was never announced
It wouldn’t nobody wanted Randy vs Batista in 2014
For once Santi, you actually have some good facts to backup your picks lol.
He was the biggest heel in the WWE and his legend killer gimmick was dying at the time, what better way to transition from that to being this
2006: Rey Mysterio, agree on if Eddie didn’t pass away, he probably wouldn’t have had that moment at that year’s WrestleMania, I would add that Triple H. would’ve been my pick to win it if after he would’ve won the rumble they built this up more with a proper storyline material.
It’s kind of a flip of a coin tbh.🤷♂️
2012: Sheamus, disagree, he needed that win to gain his star power back.
2018: Shinsuke Nakamura + Asuka, both agree, they were the perfect candidates to win the rumbles and I also strongly agree with you when it came to the booking at Mania lol.😂
2019: Rollins + Lynch, agree both also perfect choices to win the royal rumbles too.
Perfect way to turn her face in this match at WrestleMania.
how is your finger?? u type all of that
@@Dragga16 not bad actually.😂 Took a break to watch a new episode of the Echo series lol.
The shield triple threat match did happen at battleground 2016 for the WWE championship which dean ambrose had and he won the match
Santi the triple threat match did happen at battleground 2016.
Daniel Bryan not winning the 2014 Royal Rumble was the right choice, the chase would not have worked out as well as it did if he won the Royal Rumble in 2014, however Daniel Bryan should have won the 2015 Royal Rumble definitely.
Nah. 14 first
Bro if wwe actually built up ziggler from survivor series he lowk could’ve been deserving of rumble 2015. He was alr against the authority so heist of century could still happen and people loved him. Just a shame wwe did nothing with him and killed his momentum
@@teeqx7361tbf ,Dolph Ziggler vs Brock Lesnar doesn't sound like a Wrestlemania Main Event. No offense to Ziggler of course and also the problem with that Survivor Series win was that he only won because of Sting's debut. I guess I'm kinda biased since I've always seen Dolph as more of a midcard then anything else,as much as I loved him during that time.
@@nzuzovilakazi901 nah that’s what I mean. I think like he should’ve been built up more after that performance. I think if he was, he could’ve been really over with the crowd. He did it before when cashing in so I don’t see why he couldnt do it again, or at least give him an opportunity to. But yeah I agree that just based on the night ziggler shouldn’t have won
Still hurts me to this day that dean never won a rumble.
You should do one for money in the bank winners
Dude the 2017 royal rumble was amazing

Dean should have definitely won it was stupid what they did because a couple months later Dean ended up the champion anyway.
I disagree that would have ruined the whole Roman vs Authority storyline and a big match like HHH vs Roman
Even hotter take, it should've been aj styles
The 2016 Rumble was for the WWE Championship and that time Dean Ambrose was the intercontinental Champion. So when it came to the final two it was already spoiled that Triple H was going to win.
Don't think it's impossible, but nowadays it is very unlikely a superstar who's already a champion winning a Royal Rumble, especially if that Royal Rumble Match is for a title
