- Filmed in 1985, this snippet is from the short-lived but local favorite Boston television show called We Don't Knock with Dana Heresy. The premise was that Dana would barge into locations unannounced, with his camera crew in tow, and stir up some fun. The live segments were interspersed with a variety of comedic sketches.
I isolated this clip because it focused on The Rat and Pizza Pad (with a glimpse of Captain Nemo's Pizza in there), and these are places that Benjamin lived and worked from the late 1970s through the 90s. Please follow this link to see the whole episode: • WSBK TV38 Boston "We D...

Rock on! ~ Donna
This was a fuckin' trip to watch! I sooooo miss Kenmore Square in the 80's.
Same! I’d give anything just to go back for a day.
Love it. Miss the 80’s. 😊❤️👍
I'm sad to say I don't remember this show, always liked Dana Hersey though and t.v. 38. I would have loved for him to show up at a club I was at. No one ever wanted to go into Boston though, we did the R.I. clubs. We would have had a great time hanging ut with Dana though. The awesome 80's! If we could bring back those days, everyone would be happy and so much better off than the days we're in now. These days are a nightmare, the 80's were happy and care free.
Started recording WSBK in 1980. I haven't transferred the videos yet but I do have a few on my Channel. One week I recorded a week of shows in 1981.
That's cool! I'll go check it out. Of course, I'd be uber interested in anything having to do with The Cars.
That was awesome!
I believe I see Johnny Angel here at about 5:15.
Habitual Line Stepper downstairs
We had a Rathskeller back in the day at our town's college (which Elliot attended for a year btw) which most probably do, with many up and coming bands, but very sadly, no Cars!

@@kane_7_ I appreciate the heads up!
I've been hearing it every morning and no matter how, I love starting my days with The Cars and Benjamin!
My old stomping grounds: The Rat/Pizza Pad after always. Great, great memories. Loved Dana; too bad he only talked to obnoxious 40 year olds & preppy boring people on this tape. Where were the cool, clubby, leather jacket-wearing denizens??
I guess your kind wasn’t interesting enough, he wanted people who could speak English, not grunt and snort. 😂😂🤣🤣
